Perfect working order, especially the lungs. Rarely has any "downtime" so lots of fun to be had.A bit on the chunky side so needs feeding regularly.

Ideal family pet!

:) and :(

NotQuiteCockney · 22/03/2006 18:36

Will you accept swaps?

iota · 22/03/2006 18:39

I use the threat of getting them a baby sister to make my 2 boys behave.

Works a treat.

If I ever have to follow through with the threat, can I have a short loan?

misdee · 22/03/2006 18:43

i'll borrow her for the afternoon if needed.

hunkermunker · 22/03/2006 18:49

Aw, Soupy Sad

First three months are the hardest (repeat to yourself as necessary and feel free to punch people who say it to you Grin).

LemonDrizzleLady · 22/03/2006 19:09

how much?

what would postage be?

can I just collect?

would I make a profit on ebay?

SoupDragon · 22/03/2006 19:13

No lending, no swaps (other than for silent, inanimate objects).

Free for postage! Mind you, she's f-ing enormous so postage will be a lot.

Sigh. She's too blimmin alert for her own good - has slept for under 2 hours today and desperately needed a cat nap before bedtime. Told DSs that they had to be quiet... Anyway, they've been sent to bed and DD is in the Magic Sling of Sleep for her pre-bed catnap (she tends to notice that I've sat down though, clever Dragonette that she is.)

Thinking of you soupy!

Twiglett · 22/03/2006 19:39

oo .. I can finally get a tail to swish

I'll have 'er Grin

sunchowder · 22/03/2006 19:39

Ah Soupy! It only seems like yesterday for me (11 years ago....). The first four months nearly killed me,but my DD was 3 weeks premature to boot. Sending good wishes to you, she looked gorgeous in the photo you posted ages ago, loverly dragonette!

Flamesparrow · 22/03/2006 20:04

Are you sure about no swaps? I've got a flamechicklet here... he is a sleeper so you get an hour or so's reprieve in between the screaming about wind that he just can't get rid of. His sister was much more like your little dragon so I feel like I know what I'm doing there!!!

pepperrabbit · 22/03/2006 20:07

Heed my mother's excellent advice when I suggested selling DS
"wait till Christmas - you'll get a better price" Grin

eidsvold · 22/03/2006 21:26

I would offer but having had my own with a fabulous set of lungs ( dd2) after a wonderful calm quiet laid back dd1 - I am a little reluctant to take you up on your offer Grin

However if it is any consolation - dd2 is now more laid back and dd1 is loud and busy.

SoupDragon · 23/03/2006 09:43

Just taking her to the post office to get her weighed. Er I mean baby clinic.

Kidstrack2 · 23/03/2006 09:46

lol

oliveoil · 23/03/2006 09:48

I had one of those as well, very very hard.

I was a shouting mess and am ashamed looking back Sad.

But she still loves me and gives me hugs with her big podgy arms, it will pass.

Agree with HM, I was ready to lamp the next person that told me it will pass, I felt like saying "I AM AWARE OF THAT BUT IT DOESN'T MAKE IT BETTER DOES IT YOU SMARTARSE?".

xx

LadyTophamHatt · 23/03/2006 09:58

Ahhh....so...you want our help now, do you??

Not sure i can help actually, because i'm sure it's all still made upGrinWink

As for the "she tends to notice that I've sat down" thing, All 3 of mine did that and I have a theory that it's air pressure. As you lower yourself into the chair the little person you're holding noticed the miniscule differences in the air pressure and it alerts them to the fact that you're about to relax. The wake up and so the chair/sofa/bed stay empty.

GrinGrin

oliveoil · 23/03/2006 10:01

I used to wonder on the sitting down thing as well. They are in the same position, slumped adoringly over your shoulder, so what is the difference?

Grrrrrrrrrr.

Flossam · 23/03/2006 10:03

LOL at Hunker - the woman how was happy to exchange DS2 for my DS who sleeps though the night only yesterday! Grin Shock

Hope things get better soon SD! Smile

LadyTophamHatt · 23/03/2006 10:03

Its Air pressure....Olive...I'm telling....it's got to be!

Flossam · 23/03/2006 10:05

erm, 'the woman who' makes much more sense I feel.

SoupDragon · 23/03/2006 10:50

SoupDragon · 23/03/2006 10:52

It's not air pressure, they are telepathic and can hear your mental sigh. She does it when in the other room and Isit down with a hot coffee - stays asleep just long enough for me to go "aahhhh" and think she's going to let me drink it and bam! full blown screaming. (from her, closely followed by me)

OP posts:
oliveoil · 23/03/2006 10:52

I can collect and drop off dd2 in exchange:

Cute
Doesn't sleep apart from in your bed with her feet in your ear
Has remains of chicken pox and is moody

Sounds good yeah?
