FrannyandZooey · 07/03/2006 20:33

treacletart · 07/03/2006 21:36

when I was about 15 I was in the background for an edition of 6.5 special filmed in Covent Garden. MY dh was on a Cahnnel4 auction game programme last year - very funny for all who know him, oh and a mate of his won £5k on Deal or no Deal recently. My brother used to be in a really famous band and it got to a stage when he wouldnt even bother to tell me he was going to be on the telly bacause the novelty had worn off for him - never quite did for me though.

niceglasses · 07/03/2006 21:38

Pruni · 07/03/2006 21:41

mrsdarcy · 07/03/2006 21:59

I was on regional news in my swimming costume and goggles (a very horrid sight) when they came to film a Waterbabies lesson

Surfermum · 07/03/2006 22:04

Me too MrsD! Except I had just finished a race at a lifeguard competition.

spidermama · 07/03/2006 22:06

Ok Ok ok ok ok ok ok ... I have an admission. Before I tell you though, I want some guarantees that you won't all be clamouring for my autograph or trying to pass me off as a friend of yours. It gets so boring being this well known.

Here goes then ...

Yes, I was on TV in the 80s. I was in a group of people doing a workout on Aberdeen beach with the Green Goddess. It was on at 0615 one chilly Tuesday morning and no-one I know saw it and we couldn't tape it because only schools owned video recorders in those days and they were huge.

Is that the shittest TV appearance yet?

threelittlebabies · 07/03/2006 22:11

I was interviewed on the GMTV sofa in September, when dd was 3 weeks old. What fun it was to get the whole family to London on a train with a newborn!

willow2 · 07/03/2006 22:19

Been in the background of various programmes that I was working on. Also been on The Time The Place or something like that (can't remember to be honest) about spider phobia and hypnosis to cure it. But DS is the winner - he was starred in his very own channel five kids' "milkshake" programme called "My First". The series was all to do with kids doing something for the first time - and his one was all about his first pony ride. Very sweet and one vhs that I will wheel out on his eighteenth, wedding day etc etc until he pays me enough to tape over it.

I made a video while I was at school about Hackney City Farm. I have no idea what it was for and I hope to God that no-one has a copy BlushGrin

I also appeared on a news article about the accidents in swing parks. They were saying how most accidents are caused by children running from one item to the next and sure enough, at that very moment, we were running from the slide to the swings in the background!

mrsdarcy · 07/03/2006 22:25

hmmmm Surfermum, yours sounds a little more Baywatch than mine. Bet your swimsuit doesn't have a big zip down the front to make bfeeding easier Grin

paolosgirl · 07/03/2006 22:29

Yes - once when I was at school I was on the Beechgrove Garden Carol service - wahey!! It was big up in the NE of Scotland Blush

Then again last year I was interviewed when I took part in the search for Rory Blackhall here Sad Sad Sad

wheresmyfroggy · 07/03/2006 22:31

I worked for a while at the animation company that made The Snowman and Wind in the willows. They made a Making of Wind in the willows programme and I was in it briefly.

wheresmyfroggy · 07/03/2006 22:33

I also get fairly regular tv credits if that counts Grin

Lol Mrs D! No, no zip up front, but I was so slim and fit then I don't think I'd even recognise myself if I saw it again.
