4 bed 3 big doubles one large single
galleried landing
dressing room and ensuite to master bedroom
other bathroom
Large kitchen
Downstairs WC
study
dining room large
large living room with double doors to garden
Pond and double garage and sort of landscaped I guess (old owners)
It seemed big when we moved in but by heck we're filling it up quickly.
On private road on front of estate with views to open fields.
Now I feel like an estate agent!!!!!!

a very lovely card-board construction down an alley way in coventry.

house comprises of:

  1. front entrance flap cut with a box knife and sealed at night with my a bag of my dirty laundry.
  1. interior plastic lining derived from bin-bags to prevent the exterior vomit soaking through the cardboard. it's good double thickness cardboard but you can never be too sure, you know?
  1. Conveniently located near 'bargain booze' which provides the majority of my shopping needs.
  1. 1 bedroom... the box itself.
  1. A toilet... well, a hole cut in the far corner of my 'bedroom' with a plastic pipe connected leading the waste product from my house to the main high street path.

1960s 3 bed semi with a loft conversion which is our room and the nicest in the house. Feel like I live in a cardboard box as opposed to an actual one (cf DC). Pokey rooms, no dinning room, no room for a shower. Garden like a postage stamp. Apparently a former owner used to keep a horse in the back garden and another owner was a prostitute (according to next door neighbour). Still doesn't make up for the fact that I don't like it and would like to move. Like the area though.

a mess Grin

BettySpaghetti · 03/03/2006 13:19

half-renovated/partly covered in scaffolding
detached
upside-down (lounge, kitchen, dining room, soon to be shower room upstairs and 3 bedrooms, bathroom, hall and soon to be added lobby and utility room downstairs)
garage
stable building with hayloft

schneebly · 03/03/2006 13:20

it is a 1960's rural semi-detached with 3 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, living room/diner and tiny kitchen. It is badly in need of decorating, has a leaky roof and is, in general, a bit of a heap. Can't afford to do anything about it Sad

harrogatemum · 03/03/2006 13:21

4 bed detached that looks the same as all the others on the estate. But backs onto a bluebell wood so makes up for it.

Top half of a Victorian terrace, one small bedroom, one even smaller bedroom; no garden, soon to be renovated & turned into gorgeous neutrally decorated des res so we can get something a bit bigger!

Mirage · 03/03/2006 20:43

1964 3 bed semi in idyllic village.Plus side is there are views over open fields out of every window. 70ft front garden & drive,75 x 30ft back garden.Minus sides are that the house seems to be constructed out of cardboard,it hasn't seen a paintbrush or any updating since 1970ish.

I miss my beautiful, huge Edwardian terrace house Sad.

Posey · 03/03/2006 21:11

3rd and 4th floor (penthouse!) ex-council maisonette. Loo, kitchen and living room downstairs, 3 beds and bathroom upstairs.
We have huge windows giving us wonderful views over London.
Oh and an enormous communal garden.

Surfermum · 03/03/2006 21:18

1880's 2 bed cottage, needed loads of renovation and still does (bone of contention as we've been here 6 years). Worst house, best street sort of scenario but don't want to move as we're within 2 mins walk of a school people fight to get into. Love it, but a little more room would be good. One day I'll get my extension but right now I'd rather work part-time.

nulnulcat · 03/03/2006 21:34

i have the smallest!! at the moment living in a 1 bed semi with dd, comprises hallway, huge living room / dining room biggish kitchen one big bedroom / dd playroom bathroom i sleep on sofa bed it may be small but its all mine and watford expensive!! just in process of upgrading to a 3 bed with dp but to be honest it not that much bigger

Smurfgirl · 03/03/2006 21:55

5 bed end terrace with 2 baths rooms, big living room and kitchen. I share it with 3 other people though, so not so big really Wink

mogwai · 03/03/2006 22:09

4 bed (two bathroom) extended 1930's semi with enormous kitchen/ conservatory area.

We extended it in 2004 and the dust is still plagueing us, so if I had to use one word, I'd say "dusty".

hoxtonchick · 03/03/2006 22:20

1830s semi, 3 beds, 2 receptions, 2 bathrooms, kitchen, utility room, shed/study, 70 ft garden.

jco · 03/03/2006 22:28

3 bed semi-detached council house on a slightly dodgey estate. Gave up my gorgeous 3 bed refurbished victorian terrace when i divorced my husband but have never been happier cos its all mine! it was a real hovel when i moved in but have got it quite nice now and its really satisfying knowing i did it all myself

mcmum · 03/03/2006 22:32

1980's 4 bed detachd, conservatory, 3 recep rooms garage 2 bathrooms

collision · 03/03/2006 22:34

DC...LOL...obviously no one read your thread but I did1 Wink

pooka · 03/03/2006 22:43

4 bed edwardian semi. Utility room and loo in cellar. Sitting room, playroom and kitchen/diner on g/floor. 2 double and 2 singles on first floor. Tiny bathroom. Soon to be 2 doubles, 1 single and big bathroom on first floor and double bed with en-suite in loft.
I was born here. Bought it from my mother (and she bought ours) last year. Kind of wierd but nice at the same time.
Has the same hall carpets and cooker/kitchen that were here when I was a baby.

flutterbee · 03/03/2006 22:49

You can really tell which people are trying to brag about there houses.

Mines bigger than yours etc Grin Grin

Amelily · 03/03/2006 22:51

Wow. People are really keen to describe their houses! We're in 4 bed barn conversion - sadly didn't have any home births but still feel dd2 will be able to answer 'yes' to question "Were you born in a barn?"
