Bubblerock, no, please don't move out ! I haven't had chance to come and stay and be pecked by your Polly.

Libra · 01/03/2006 15:40

Mine must be the woodenest - large log cabin on the banks of an estuary.
Four bedrooms, three baths and a sauna.
Currently completely covered by snow with an igloo in the back garden and a large snowman in the front.

chipmonkey · 01/03/2006 15:44

5-bed detached house but one "bedroom" is a playroom and another is a study.
3 bathrooms
kitchen
living room
dining room
Our bedroom has a walk-in closet which should be full of shoes Imelda Marcos style but is actually full of junk!

bubblerock · 01/03/2006 15:49

Nope, prices have gone up around here so I'd need £80,000 to buy Mum out (we only paid £86,000 for it in 2004). I love it up here and I enjoy running the Hotel but I't would be hard with 2 kids without Mum.

Gingerbear - get your butt up here then!! Grin

serenity · 01/03/2006 15:53

Ground floor LA flat

no garden
2 bedrooms
1 bathroom
kitchen
living room

Very Envy of a lot of MNers.

Merlin · 01/03/2006 15:55

libra - where are you - that sounds idyllic!!!!

cupcakes · 01/03/2006 15:55

Malory - I want your house. Whereabouts are you?
I live in a semi detached Georgian 'cottage' (only so called because of it's small stature and low ceilings).
Sitting room
inbetweeny corridor/'room'
Kitchen
Rear utility area/ dog home/ office
Downstairs loo/shower room
3 beds
upstairs bathroom

Soon to have a small extension which will turn the utility/office into a large garden room/dining room.

fastasleep · 01/03/2006 15:55

While pregnant with DS I lived in a one room two cupboard falt with DH Grin that's probably the smallest!

Now we live in an ex council house which is yucky, nasty area, seventies wallpaper and carpets, plaster that falls off everywhere, poo brown lino in the bathroom and kitchen etc etc..

Gingerbear · 01/03/2006 15:56

Bubblerock, we will, but it is too cold for Blackpool just yet!

Serenity - LA- as in Los Angeles??

fastasleep · 01/03/2006 15:56

flat* I'm sleep deprived, gone mad and can't type today

Gingerbear · 01/03/2006 15:57

Or Local Authority?

You can dream I guess..

MerlinsBeard · 01/03/2006 15:58

Small 1 and a half storey semi with three bedrooms, one bathroom, and living space that is living room, dining room and kitchen all integrated. Small garden at front and rear. No garage. Two large storage cupboards which are a godsend, but the living space is cramped (and will be worse if we have another baby!).

However our view is to die for - I sent a pic to hunker IIRC and maybe she might put it on member profiles if I ask nicely....SmileSmileSmile

babyonboard · 01/03/2006 16:00

MoM mine is very similar.. a flat..everything on one level except a spare bedroom downstairs from rest..
needless to say it is mainly a massive storage cupboard..
don't remember the last time I went in there..hehehe

cardy · 01/03/2006 16:02

three-bed Victorian semi, big rooms and high celings but I would love another bedroom/office space.

noddyholder · 01/03/2006 16:03

I currently live in a 3 bed townhouse 3 floors modern with kitchen diner living room 1 bathroom downstairs loo music room and garage and small garden. But have just sold it and will be moving

Libra · 01/03/2006 16:03

Merlin - north Aberdeenshire.
Yes, very idyllic but also very cold and very cut off! Schools are all closed at the moment because of the snow, my woodpile is rapidly diminishing and I am trying of drying boy's trousers, socks and shoes!!
We actually live on the edge of a nature reserve and have views across the estuary and the sand dunes.

Hulababy · 01/03/2006 16:03

My house is a 3 storey end town house, newly built last year.

Ground floor: lobby, hallway, downstairs toilet, utility room, graden room and garage
First floor: living/dining room, kitchen
Second floor: 3 bedrooms, one with ensuite, bathroom

Smallish garden, walled to three sides out the bag.

serenity · 01/03/2006 16:05

Gingerbear, the second LOL

Merlin · 01/03/2006 16:06

wow Libra (are you one? I am) that sounds lovely - of course having to live with all that snow probably wears a bit thin after a while - I got all excited earlier when we had a mad flurry for about 15 mins, but didn't settle and now sun is out (I'm down on the South coast). Just curious - did you build the log cabin?

Libra · 01/03/2006 16:10

Merlin (yes, I am one - also very unimaginative).
No, we didn't build it. It was built by the local laird as a hunting, fishing and shooting lodge, but he couldn't find enough people who wanted to hunt, fish and shoot all year so he sold it to us a few years ago. Apparently it was brought across from Finland in big chunks and fitted together like lego. It suits us because DH is Danish and so it reminds him of home.
Actually I am very excited by the snow myself - a whole day off work!! and the possibility of more tonight and tomorrow. Just getting bored with the offerings of the local shop and can't persuade DS1 to dig the car out.

turniphead · 02/03/2006 21:16

quite a big patch

vickiyumyum · 02/03/2006 21:23

ours is a 1930's 3 bed semi that we moved into in december last year. at the moment it is currently pink and floral in most rooms, and still haven't got round to decorating, am actually growing used tot eh late 80's early 90's feel, all dado rails with stripes below and either sponge effect or floral above!!!!

on the plus side it has a huge kitchen diner which is an extension and fairly new so has escaped the 90's look, not my style as is pine country style, but good quality clean and very pleasant room to spend most of the day in., as well as a seperate dining room, study, lounge, three good size bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a downstairs loo and my favourite room the utility, means i can hide all my washing and ironing and no one ever sees it!

Oliviab · 02/03/2006 21:34

3bed ex-council 30s semi that we've extended and opened up downstairs. Spent last 6yrs refurbishing, building up equity and now very modern inside.
But... moving to a 4bed Edwardian semi, rambling in size and condition but I don't want to change a thing. Just as well as our mortgage is nearly doubling (although still not much more than Bubblerock's TBH.)

blueteddy · 02/03/2006 21:36

I live in a town house, which was built on the old barracks site.
It has 4 bedrooms, big kitchen, lounge on first floor, 3 bathrooms & a downstairs toilet (great if we all have a stomach bug at the same time!) and a playroom.
