I'm a Saggitarian and fairly typical. What are you, and do you fit the spec.???

Melsy, I got my chart done from a company called Equinox, based in the Isle of Wight I think. It cost £18 a few years ago, but it gave me all my signs in the different planets and then a 1 to 2 page on each planet. Some of it a bit far fetched and probably general to many, but things like having a moon in Saggitarius gives you a filthy temper, I can be calm then something rattles me (children winding each other up) and I really yell, then am calm again. Well worth the money; but you do need your exact place and time of birth for it to be accurate...anymore things to chat about here please chat, as astrology really interesting (if typical woman and like looking at people's personalities!).

What I am interested in is the relationship between mother and child and what we can learn about it from the star signs in order to have a better relationship. My son is an Aquarius and my dh and I are Aries, so we are both Fire signs and he is a Water sign. I have had my birth chart done and it is nearly all fire and no water anywhere, so I know he will grow to be quite a different person to me and I want to get through that without driving each other mad. I found a good website once (in an internet cafe while on holidays) on the topic but can't find it again. Does anyone know of any books or websites that might cover this stuff?

How do you know about what your rising sign is and your moon/sun sign and all that ... you know the 'Venus in Uranus' stuff ...?????

Ghosty, either you could go to some astrologer and pay for this advice, however, if you're like me and don't want to part to readily with your hard earned cash there are a few options here.

1. Your venus and mars signs are very well explained in a book called Venus and Mars by John Gray, I think, the author of Men are from Mars and Women are from Venus...I have got this out on a number of occassions and it's all about your own signs and how they are compatible with your lover.

2. For the rising sign there is the KISS guide to Astrology, which you can get again from your library, and is £14.99 in WHSmiths. It will ask you for your time of birth, if you know this then you can be very accurate.

3. There are websites on ask Jeeves which I have found if you type in astrology there are many choices to be had. I personally find the library books more fun as it details lots of stuff and you get a bigger picture of how it all works together.

4. If you're still stuck, please send me an e-mail on Mumsnet and I might be able to help. (Have spent the last 10 years involved in this highly interesting subject and am happy to share any knowledge that I have.

P.S. In case you come up against things what is your birthdate and time of birth, I have a very good document and book to calculate this kind of stuff.
