Mother Nature, please continue, am only relating to lasy few years of reading many books and magazines on the subject, have not done astrology course or anything...just wondered if you knew about the rising signs and if you're like yours....you must be some kind of astrological consultant or something as seem to know lots here....Anyone wishing to discuss venus and mars signs know a little about this.

the staring bit is true, as many people have said I can intimidate just by looking at them. I am not an intimidating person though. Often I am away with the fairies and just staring or intensly thinking about something and just gazing.

Very strange mix. Myt family think I am complicated and querky.

Melsy, Mars in Virgo has a flair and energy for details and work; making them valuable in many areas of life but especially in craft and work.

Mars is to do with energy, what energy level you are, ie. whether a can- do, will-do or a gonna do sort of person. The sign in which Mars falls describes how you assert yourself eg. if Mars in Aries assert yourself impulsively. mars must be understood in conjunction with Venus (what we want, what fires our passion). The cusp thing is something I don't really know about, do you find you're half virgo/leo, or half cancer/leo whichever monthe your in, it's supposed to mean you're more likely to be a bit of both? Anyone know more about this help welcome

hi lavender, yes some of the comments do ring true for me. a lot of contradiction between the outer "persona" and the inner self, that rang true. as did the "solid body"...

My Venus is in Leo.
And I'm a rising Leo.
But my sun sign is Virgo, which could explain why everyone who barely knows me thinks I'm assertive & self-confident, and everyone who knows me well, knows that I'm actually an insecure, easily-bullied mouse.

When I used to believe these things might actually give insight, I collected my own observations:

Scorpio: Blow hot and cold, over long periods. When they blow cold, they wouldn't care if you dropped off the face of the planet.
Gemini: Blow hot and cold -- almost daily.
Virgo: always holding back, always keeping something in reserve, find it very hard to really 'let go'. Either expending very focused energy or building up their reserves, again. A real symbol of the harvest.
Leo: Dominant personalities... but sometimes only obviously so within their select small circle.
Capricorn: cautious.
Sagitarius: Mostly very affable, with occasional sudden hot-tempers.

DS is a double Scorpio, which in a 4yo maybe makes him about as volatile as my sterotypical Gemini.

hi mothernature, have just read your bit on Aquarians, and so much rings true especially the part on the way aquarians dress. I mismatch everything i wear and really detest conforming! Do you know much about the effect saturn is going to have on Aquarians like me over the next few years? Apparently saturn is one of the planets which "rock" your world!

Mothernature is there a website with all this Chinese/Japanese astrology on it? It would be fascinating to read.

I have copied the "1971" description to peruse later when I have more time. DH was born 1972 (Virgo), I was born 1971 (Sagittarian) so have my element, my ds twins were born December 2002 (Capricorn)

Can I please have 1972 and 2002 year descriptions if you don't mind and your fingers have not dropped off with repetitive strain syndrome!
