Right here are the rules.

You have a budget of £1,000000

You have to find a hideous house with rank decor and nasty stained shagpile carpets. Extra points awarded for gold gilt taps and bars or entertainment rooms and pink flamingoes on the ornamental pond/rockerie. AND if anyone can find a room which has carpeted walls and ceiling they will win hands down

Happy hunting.

The bathroom in this propery meets your requirements I think but I think I can probably find worse.....

tacky

There are no million pound houses round here so hard to find true tack!

JackieNo · 20/02/2006 20:18

How about the living room here - swagtastic . Not to mention the family portrait over the fireplace, the world's most enormous TV, and some lovely collectable dolls

JackieNo · 20/02/2006 20:21

And a lovely bathroom here

Nbg · 20/02/2006 20:21

Stop it you lot!I am meant to be finishing my college work tonight, not sniggering at tacky interiors.

The house for sale down the rd from my parents is pretty bad, when I've done my homework I'll try & post a link.

You wouldn't want to wake up to the bathroom here (right hand side, third down) with a hangover, would you?

meggmoo · 20/02/2006 20:57

JackieNo. I don't mind that last house really not my cup of tea but compared to some of these humdingers!

And I think the small child shaped thing in the bathroom is a frilly upholstered chair....dreamy!
AND what is it about dusky rose carpets? They are everywhere!

Jackie, that's a mumsnetters house .....

NotQuiteCockney · 20/02/2006 21:23

Oh, yes, I think I recognise the place JackieNo linked to. And yes, the bathroom looks bad in the thumbnail, but in the full photo, it actually looks really nice.

This is reminding me of the Obscene Interiors site.

goldstarlover · 20/02/2006 21:25

greyhound anyone?

goldstarlover · 20/02/2006 21:27

aside from that these are the worst i can find in my area:

house 1

goldstarlover · 20/02/2006 21:29

4 bed bungalow- 4 million!

Anchovy · 20/02/2006 21:30

I've not looked at these pictures, but one of my colleagues was looking round a house and they had pub optics over the bath. How brilliant is that !

Nbg · 20/02/2006 21:33

Here you go. Slate it all you like!

meggmoo · 20/02/2006 21:35

How bizarre GSL!
I think we need to up the ante on this one - too many tasteful ones here.

Perhaps we should lower the price to 500k????
