He's cross I didn't tell him, but pleased that I was pro active about it! Think he's worried about how the steroids are going to make me feel. The side effects are never nice. Sad Mentioned to him briefly about going back on the injections....he says it's up to me! Hmm

AmandaCooper · 27/02/2013 21:33

Sorry to change the subject but would you believe I just bumped into WestYorksLass on another thread? Her DS is 18 months old now and she is 30+5 with number 2!

Quodlibet · 27/02/2013 21:40

Bebe I'm really sorry to hear you are having a relapse but agree that 3 months is REALLY not long in the scheme of things, as us long-term-waiters know. I think right now you should prioritise your health. I know it means letting go of the idea of TTC in the short-term, but maybe we have all learned that we sometimes need to look at the long game. (I worked out today that I now have missed the boat to have had a child before I am 34 Sad - so much for completing my childbearing by 35!). Give things 6 months and lots might have settled down for you - I'm sure that having your flat tenanted will earn you some breathing space that you need and maybe financially make things feel a bit less acute. And it seems like you are able to start making things a bit more now DD is at school? (BTW are you positive that the envirohealth people wouldn't certify your kitchen as it is now? My friend had it done in her TINY rental kitchen - open to the living room, got 2 cats, etc - and it was fine!). Plus a couple of months on the meds might be all you need to settle things down a bit (hopeful face - I know nothing about MS.)

Ahh it is nice chatting to you lot again!

bebejones · 27/02/2013 21:50

Wow, no hanging about for WYlass then!!! Grin

It's not so much the waiting 3 months that bothers me, it's the deciding to TTC, stopping meds and then no longer being in a position to TTC by the time the 3 months is up! It's all such a big mess!

AC, any signs of the little fella showing up?! Wink Have my crochet hook and some lovely blue yarn at the ready!! Wink

AmandaCooper · 27/02/2013 22:18

The crochet hook might be useful!

bebejones · 28/02/2013 09:07

Crochet hooks are to be used for official crochet purposes only!

Psyching myself up to take first dose of steroids....I know they will make me feel shit! Sad Got DDs 'parents evening' after school today, last thing I want is the sweats and nausea!

AmandaCooper · 28/02/2013 10:18

I suppose there's no point putting it off is there; if it's not parents evening it will be the next thing. Do you all go along or is it just parents? Hopefully P will get glowing reports all round and that will cheer you up. Smile

Just lying in bed feeling sorry for myself and waiting for my mum to come round to look after me as DH is out for the day at some business meeting. Hardly slept last night either so Sod's law conditions are good! Come on baby Cooper!

bebejones · 28/02/2013 16:15

Glowing reports DD, popular, smart, polite! Grin Steroids making me feel fuzzy but so far not too bad!

Hurry up baby we are all on tenterhooks!

AmandaCooper · 28/02/2013 16:27

No surprise there then! Nice going, supermum! Smile

bebejones · 28/02/2013 16:59

Oh and I won a signed Delia book in MN cake comp! here Woohoo!

AmandaCooper · 28/02/2013 20:55

Well done! That was a fabulous cake! Did you go for real name or MN username?

bebejones · 28/02/2013 21:08

I went for real name on the basis that DH will see it & I don't want him to MN stalk me! Wink Grin

bebejones · 28/02/2013 21:09

Oh and in other good news, DH found some money to pay us to pay the mortgage! Woohoo!

AmandaCooper · 28/02/2013 21:41

Hooray! Wine

So you have sorted out your medication, you've got the mortgage covered, you've won the cake bake, you're getting Delia's autograph, your DD's a legend and your tenants are sorted! Not a bad end to the week all things considered! Grin

bebejones · 28/02/2013 22:42

Am counting my blessings! There is bigger, more problematic, work crap going on but the less said about that the better!

Oh and DH briefly acknowledged the plan to move furniture around etc which is all part of the grander 'having another baby plan'! Am NOT counting my chickens, but hey, baby steps and all that jazz!!

How are you feeling? Any niggles? Is it sweep day tomorrow? Hurry up little man we've all been waiting for you for aaaaaaaages! SmileWink

Am off to bed feeling like a one woman pharmacy! Today's tally:
5 x methylprednisolone
1 x omeprazole
3 x Vit D3
1 x multivitamin
2 x paracetamol Sad

bebejones · 28/02/2013 23:01

SPR sends contracting vibes btw! Wink

AmandaCooper · 28/02/2013 23:07

Pretty sure my waters have just gone. DH and I are heading to bed but not sure if we'll sleep!

bebejones · 01/03/2013 00:17

Eeeeeeeeeeeeeek!!!! Fingers crossed for a baby by lunchtime then! Grin

Can't sleep, stupid steroids!!!

AmandaCooper · 01/03/2013 00:32

Yes by lunchtime would be good this is far from a comfortable experience. Contracting every 3-5 minutes. Just rang the labour ward they said call back in an hour. Surreal.

bebejones · 01/03/2013 01:07

Sounds like things are happening quickly! SPRs contraction vibes clearly worked! Haha

Hope it's super speedy!

ShaggingProducesResults · 01/03/2013 06:43

Oh My God!!!
I am so sorry I've been absent for about a year now!! I miss you all nd clearly there are lots of WIIT developments I've missed!!

Only read the last page but:

Bebe - TTC is possibly on the table in 2013? This is wonderful news! I hope that the relapse can me managed with the drugs and that you aren't feeling too ropey xxx

AC - loving the labour watch!! I hope it's all going well and that your little one arrives safely. Can't wait to hear about him/her.

Today is Sassi's birthday!! (She doesn't actually have a birthday this year as there is no 29th Feb but I thought it might be mean to only celebrate every 4 years!!!) I can't believe my crazy little monkey is a year old already!

Sending lots of love to you all and I promise to come back properly very soon and catch up on everybody's news xxx

bebejones · 01/03/2013 07:24

On baby watch!!

Come on AC, celebratory elephant parade, ticker tape, fireworks and marching band on stand by!!!

AmandaCooper · 01/03/2013 10:54

He's here! Born this morning in the pool after a ten hour labour. He's absolutely lovely! I'll come back and update once I get out of recovery! Thanks for all the good wishes x

Quodlibet · 01/03/2013 11:37

Congratulations! What wonderful news. Well done you - and how great that you got a water birth. Can't wait for pics when you've recovered.

bebejones · 01/03/2013 13:29
