Thought we were through it but dd1 did runny poo last night then another this morning. She seems fine in herself though and eating bits ....not lots. Boh. I got this stuff from the chemist that helps to sort out the tum ....sounds like a eco friendly immodium!!!!!!
Dh suggested ikea domani but will see how dd is. She is almost bored at home - sign sheis well but she is not iykwim.... Time will tell. Mega storm last night a real window shaker.
Now on sofa with dd watching the Jungle Book!!!!!!

Actually, today is one of those days when I miss M&S as I am craving a carrot cake. Or something with lots of lovely, rich, (fat) English cream.

Parents have booked for the end of Nov so might ask for some clotted cream !!!
Mind you the British Corner shop have dropped the delivery price for Italy and I am so so so tempted but I know I will get too much crap and regret it as i eat it all !!!

So do I and thats only the biscuit section......then sauces, dressings, cooking, my ideal basket is about £200... I try to stick to £100 once a year when am in Italy for Xmas so my basket is growing.....

Well, yes, perhaps setting a budget is a good move...

Lol Franca I was about to link that carrello myself as it's on my wish list. I checked it out today and it is adorable in rl. Today I stuck strictly to my "need" list, but I'll be going back soon, there's a niche thing in our kitchen which is a mess and I've decided that's the perfect solution.

Wow thats a change Merlin..I spent lots of time in Tuscany and know it pretty well. I am a brit married and living in Venice...where its still too humid for October !!!

Woah Rosa, I guess it's humid all the year around in Venice, been there few times... strangely, it's not so humid for me in Scotland, but maybe because I live indoors most of the time!!

Hello Franca, you spent a long time in U.K.!! I don't think I'll ever go back to Italy, I've always been more at ease abroad than where I was born.

The humididty is a pain in the summer as it adds like 10degrees onto the temp , but now it is so unusual as its still sticky. Just walking slowly its sticky , not hot and sticky just sticky ! The Venetians are determined its getting colder and are out in 'correct' clothing. I just want to stick to my 3/4 trousers and sandals thank you but they are falling to bits.
How far NOrth are you ? The furthest I have even been is Aviemore but have missed out bits in the middle !
I have just got the 2013 Ikea catalogue and so poor DH had no conversation over lunch .....

Really sticky in Rome too, Scotland sounds attractive tbh. We used to go there a lot as kids, I want to talk DH into a holiday in the Western Isles one of these days.

Still rather warm here too, but I won't complain as you all know how much I can't stand the cold.

I am happy to be back, but I do miss our friends in the UK.

Rosa, north like "I see from my bedroom window the North Sea...." and also the Orkneys... so that's as northern as possible in Scotland!

Sputnik, Scotland is beautiful but I wouldn't mind to move to Inverness or Aberdeen in the next few years. Here it's really like being in the middle of nowhere.

It's funny, any time I visit my family I fall sick because of the climatic change between cold and warm weather, I must have been born Scottish in another life

Ciao Merlin and welcome. I'm a brit in rome with Roman dp and 5 year old ds. Love Scotland. My DF is a glaswegian, we lived in scotland for a while when I was younger and spent many a holiday on the north west coast behind a windbreak and telling ourselves the gulf stream meant the sea wasnt really freezing. Great days though and beautiful scenery that tugs on my heart still. Sput are you completely under attack from tiger mozzies at the moment in your part of Rome? We are being eaten alive by the vicious bastards.
