how on earth do you shop in a supermarket with a pram?

can someone please advise..i'm sick of going to the supermarket and only being able to pick up a few things.
we have a massive basket underneath the pram so it'd be handy if i could put the shopping in there as i go round, but i'm not sure that that is a 'done thing' at the moment i just balance whatever i can ontop of the carrycot, which isn't much!

I put it all underneath, dh laughs as he sayspeople probably queue behind me thinking I don't have much and then unload half the shop from underneath the pram

well..i did it,
i was a bit lame though and went over to customer services first and asked if there was anywhere i could secure the pram so i could push a trolley. she just told me to put it underneath if i had space, so i didn't feel bad! hehehehehe
i balanced a basket on the carrycot for light things and put bottles soap powder etc underneath, then wondered, is it cheeky to go to the basket only aisle..teehee

Hey, next time leave the buggy at customer services - they should be fine about this - and put the baby into a trolley with a babyseat. Took me a while to realise you can do this!

Any decent supermarket should be able to provide a member of staff to push the trolley whilst you push the pram. And then pack your bags for you at the check-out. I have seen this several times in my local Sainsbury's (non-posh part of London). You may have to phone to arrange first though.

I am a design student and plan to create a product to solve the struggle I’ve seen parents facing in the supermarket when they are trying to carry the shopping items along with pushing a buggy. What are your thoughts?

Do you have any requirements that you would like the solution to meet?
Or any ideas?
