No I have been in since pregnantg with dd1 a few years ago and now i am pregnant again!

A few more years wont hurt - i was a big party girl so i think i made upf back then for the later years lost!!!!

I will be back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Roobie · 31/12/2005 11:55

This is the first year ever it is just going to be dh and me in on our own - usually we have friends round or go and stay with friends who have kids. Ds is not sleeping very well at the moment so we decided to opt out of going away - got 2 bottles of champers in though so we'll just get pissed together!
Can't remember the last time I actually went out to an "external" public do.

GoodKingGeorginars · 31/12/2005 11:58

We never go out NYE as it's just grim in every way. Went out for the first time in years about 3 years ago to please a friend and it was just bearable as very low key and in local old man style pub. Seeing friends for drinks this afternoon then we'll be battening down the hatches for the night.
All ready to do battle with upstairs neighbours if they don't get the hell out somewhere! (last year we agreed to them having a party and it was the noisiest thing ever, DD was 3 weeks old and it was hideous....)
So maybe we are miserable old gits but I've been like this for years and I'm only 31 now, so ner!

Screwballmuppet · 31/12/2005 11:59

Were staying in I love new years but just can't be bothered this year.
A curry and a glass of wine for us. Neither of us drink much and though had a few invites...just want to stay in curl up and stay nice and warm.

Mercy · 31/12/2005 12:37

I haven't been out on NYE since 2000!

We will be going to a little party this afternoon though with some other families, which tbh, is what I prefer these days

jambuttie · 31/12/2005 13:00

we are invited to 3 parties but cant go.

i have sore throat and really tight heavy chest, twins getting over the flu, and my 4 yr old has an ear infection, chest infection and tonsilitis.

Hubby also has the begginings of the flu too.

Happy New Year eh!!!!!

I have my litre of morgans in too

notasheep · 31/12/2005 13:15

Hope this doesnt sound selfish!! dd is nearly 6 ds is 1 and tonight i would love to go out with a couple of friends and drink some champagne at a local bar.
But in the real world it just isnt going to happen

megandsoph · 31/12/2005 13:18

I'm doing a 12 hour shift from 6:30pm lurvvvvly

expatinscotland · 31/12/2005 13:27

Sadly, seb, the Caprice is no more. It's now called 'La Favorita'. It's still lovely, but quite pricey.

Vittoria's is still there, tho

WideWebWitch · 31/12/2005 13:30

We went out to a party last night and will be staying in tonight, definitely, I feel grim. We used to go out when we lived in Dartmouth because the whole town dresses up and it was fun but tbh even if we were still there I doubt we'd feel like it. I will be in bed before midnight tonight for sure.

Blackduck · 31/12/2005 14:53

I'm cooking curry for friends, and then will doubtless be tucked up in bed before midnight......

jac34 · 31/12/2005 15:58

We are proberbly staying in, but haven't decided whether to let the boys stay up or not, it depends how good they are.
Our street go out and dance at midnight, which they absolutely love.

NomDePlume · 31/12/2005 16:00

We're staying in. NY is overrated

Janh · 31/12/2005 16:01

I have to work from 12-9pm tomorrow so we won't be going to any of the many riotous parties we've been invited to ()

DVD + takeaway sounds good to me.

paolosgirl · 31/12/2005 16:03

We're staying in this year. The last few years we've spent with friends or at our street party. This year, our friends and neighbours are mostly away, and those of us that are left haven't summoned the enthusiasm to do anything. Must be a sign of growing old...!

DoesntTurkeySoupDragon · 31/12/2005 16:06

I'll be asleep

what a change from the party animal I used to be pre-kids

Mum2OneAndBump · 31/12/2005 16:06

We are staying in normally do Family parties but being 37 weeks pg i just don't feel upto it at all will make up for it next year though

Glitterygook · 31/12/2005 16:10

We are staying in, always do. Last few years we've been on our own but tonight we have our closest friends coming over - they are bringing the meal, I've got dessert and drinks and we'll just have a nice, normal Saturday night where we eat, chat, play board games (and got the buzz music quiz for PS2) and drink. We'll probably stay up till midnight though - don't usually, my friend and I usually fall asleep half way through whatever DVD the boys have decided to have on.

puff · 31/12/2005 16:12

We are staying in - a friend offered to babysit, but I still feel a bit ropey after a tooth extraction, so we'll go out Monday.

I've bought some nice grub from M&S and a bottle of bubbly - dh is on cooking and waiter duties.

lou33 · 31/12/2005 16:34

i am supposed to go out, but cant decide if i want to go or not, because i was out last night, and am out on the 2nd-6th everynight as well

Twiglett · 31/12/2005 16:36

have to go out for kiddy meal at friends in 20 mintues

was supposed to go with kids on a demi-sleep over to another friend but it just seems so much hassle with DD still being in a cot .. if she was bigger would be much easier .. so I cried off

I am really bad about going out

northerner · 31/12/2005 16:43

Am off out to Pizza Hut in 10 mins with friends and her dd and my ds. So I will bid you all a happy new year now, as will be visiting friends later in the evening and when we get home dh and I will see in the ny quietly with a bottle of bubbly. So won't be online leter.

Happy new year all. And Nutty - I hope you managed to get out after all.

mrsdarcy · 31/12/2005 16:52

We always stay in. I hate all the forced hilarity of ny. Besides, it's our wedding anniversary on 30 Dec so that's our personal new year

Enideepmidwinter · 31/12/2005 16:58

Most of our friends are going to a wedding reception for a couple that we don't know! So we are staying in and watching scuzzy movies in front of the fire. Bottle of wine for dh and half a lager shandy for me.
