Dd1 absolutely LOVES 'Steal My Sunshine' by Len and insists I play it every time we get in the car. I used to love it too but am getting a bit sick of it now!!!

LOL I think once you have heard your child sing that you are not likely to forget it. Must admit to feeling pleased he has such good taste.

All that junk inside your trunk?
Am gonna get get get you drunk
Get you love drunk on ma hump!

BluStocking · 06/12/2005 10:31

Another White Stripes fan in our house. I wonder if they know they are a teeny band?

ISawFrannyandZooeyKissingSanta · 06/12/2005 11:25

Lockets, yes, and he'll be a Tory-voting accountant by then, and hideously embarrassed

MrsMillsletoe · 06/12/2005 11:32

Goodness me - another 2 White stripes fans here too. They also love Lemon Jelly, Jim Noir, King of Leon, The Specials and Ronnie Hilton (a windmill in old Amsterdam). They are 5 and 2 and have their own playlists on i-tunes, WTF?

However the one they keep gong back to I'm afraid is Amarillo.

ISawFrannyandZooeyKissingSanta · 06/12/2005 11:33

Ooh, yes, Lemon Jelly! Toddlers love Lemon Jelly so much that I emailed them to ask them if I could use their music for toddler activity classes. They were very nice about it.

harpsiheraldangelssing · 06/12/2005 11:34

am going to get ny White Stripes cd's out today I think - see if dd likes them.
cos she was conceived right after a White Stripes gig so it would be appropriate...

harpsiheraldangelssing · 06/12/2005 11:35

franny I think you secretly want your ds to become a tory voting accountant called Jeremy... hmm? hmm?

carlychristmas · 06/12/2005 11:38

my ds singing " i aint ever seen an ass like that....." eminem i believe
he is three years old

mazzystar · 06/12/2005 11:40

at 14 mo, mine is not v discriminating, prepared to dance to anything, his favourites are the streets, they might be giants, goldfrapp. oh and [ashamed secret easy listening emoticon] jamie cullen

aprilgirl · 06/12/2005 11:41

my niece's fav songs are as follows...
moonshadow...
im a believer ...
forever in blue jeans...
sweet caroline...
she just loves goos old neil diamond, she says he is her fav even drew a pic for him at nursery he he

DinosaurInAManger · 06/12/2005 11:43

Enid - Boards of Canada popular in our house too. And William Orbit and Aphex Twin.

But I have to confess that my sprogs' biggest favourite (this is so deeply uncool) is Mr Blue Sky by ELO...

serenitysaysHoHoHo · 06/12/2005 12:02

Mine like that too, dinosaur. Only, in my house, it's known as the Magic Roundabout song

wessexgirl · 06/12/2005 12:04

Harpsichord, dd1 was conceived after a Flaming Lips concert and she LOVES them. She especially likes the Glastonbury footage with all the massive rabbits, teddy bears etc. on stage.

northender · 06/12/2005 12:12

My ds (4) and dd (1) love anything by Bruce Springsteen (dad's influence!) especially a song called Cadillac Ranch which for some reason is the best thing to settle dd when she's upset (only on dvd though)!

northender · 06/12/2005 17:06

MrsMillsletoe · 06/12/2005 17:07

ds loves "tangled up in blue" by bob dylan and does a mean dylan impersonation with his toy guitar and harmonica...

Heathcliffscathy · 06/12/2005 17:30

ds (2yrs) just shouts 'tunnels, tunnels' from the back seat....is the first track on the arcade fire album (v excellent but almost painfully hip album). he also recognises foo fighters and white stripes regardless of which track (even when they are part of an xfm jingle!).

i'd love to pretend this didn't please me, but it does

Heathcliffscathy · 06/12/2005 17:30

oooo bossy, he also loves dylan...huzzah!

Heathcliffscathy · 06/12/2005 17:31

and also madonna hung up but he insists on calling her 'meedonna'
