Hercules, what did you get for your 10 year old?
I have a 10 year old too. Found it easier to buy forthe 6 year old really.

hercules · 25/11/2005 17:31

Havent bought it yet but he wants the Rocky anthology!

Hulababy · 25/11/2005 17:36

Hmm, not sure if I dare work it out. £100-£150 on DD. Just spent £160 on DH today. £60 on PILs, same on my parents, £25 on SIL. £10 each or slightly less on some friend's children. £25 on my brother. £5 on book for nursery from DD.

Still have to get something for my sister, BIL, 2 sets of grandparents, sister's boyfriend, great aunt and then DD's presents to people.

Will end up buying extra stocking fillers in next month too.

PottyinaPearTree · 25/11/2005 17:58

Not a lot because I haven't bought any pressies yet. Think I need to get my butt in gear!

dd2 had birthday this week and dd1's is in December. I usually think about Christmas presents sometime after that. Did buy a couple of bits of tat from Ikea this week though

noddyholder · 25/11/2005 18:40

nuffin

hercules · 25/11/2005 19:38

Why do people feel the need to spend so much?

twinsetandpearls · 25/11/2005 22:30

nothing and we will be spending nothing if the theiving gits who have emptied my bank account don't pay it back!

Frayedknot · 25/11/2005 22:39

We have supposedly agreed a £15 limit on all presents this year except ds, dss & dsd, who will all get £50 spent on them (or cash equivalent!).

But DH keeps trying to sneak in more expensive presents. I bought FIL a book which he had asked for which happened to be £14.99 and when I told DH he said, "Oh, I was going to get him suhc and such, which costs £40".

I am getting really about it.

Tortington · 26/11/2005 01:14

i remembered - i have
i bought a crossword book for mi nan
and i bought some cheapo smow globe things for two of dds school friends.

my eldest keeps trying to get the crossword book and have a go to my hysterical " nooooooooo its nanna violents prezzie!"

that is her name.

crimbocrazydazy · 26/11/2005 08:50

DD has a bike which cost £100 and so DS has got a motorbike which also cost £100, not one of those dangerous quad thingies just a motorised bike which only goes 4 miles an hour!!! DP always gets the kids far too much at Xmas but he reckons thats why he works all year so hard, to treat the ones he loves.
