Thank you everyone. I am still Ms Witch, I haven't changed my name (didn't when I married ex either). I was mildly peeved actually when the registrar said "congratulations Mr and Mrs His Name" but I was far too happy to actually complain, I just did an internal shudder instead. My friend said she saw me react very very mildly and then shrug it off and move on! Cam, I agree about MI Enid, ooh yes - dh, dh, dh! He even said 'You'd better not be marrying me just so you can type DH on mumsnet'

Nothing wrong with lunchtime at Chelsea register office followed by champagne tea at Browns Hotel on a gorgeous sunny July day - I thoroughly recommend it. And the dds will be entranced by the choux pastry swans.
