Oh Gemma, that is absolutely PRICELESS... i think it even beats the elastic! How fabulously batty.

It reminds me of my DH's grandmother (god rest her soul), who posted a frozen turkey to her son - who was living in Costa Rica at the time. Full of glad tidings, and probably maggots by the time it arrived - bless her.

hooray for ebay I say - what fun we'll all have flogging off tat post christmas.
we had (have) a horrid family tradition of passing off crap presents amongst each other - we had a particularly vile bag which was given to 4 different people in 4 years until person who'd originated crap gift got it back........no we're not royal.
I'm going to make friends with all hated family memners just before christmas just so I can give them spectactularly horrible gifts........I think half used stuff is the best for real insult value.

you will not be surprised to hear that my mad granny moved away from florida ~(because it was too cold!?!) to live in a cave on Bequia - a little known island near St Vincent in the Carribean. After a year she moved out of the cave because she got fed up when the rain blew in.........
Anyway back to the thread, last year she sent my sister and I half a Christmas card each and on both she instructed us to put them together to get the full effect of the card. The result? a card with the same message written twice..... I wish I was a comedian because I would never run out of material!

Yes, she is still full of beans, despite being well over 80. Still lives in the Carribean and will hopefully be my inspiration for amusing posts for many years to come!

My dp bought me some bathroom scales, just after I'd discovered I was pg with baby no. 5!! The last thing I wanted to do was watch how much weight I was gaining... Lol
