Myturn I was lol at the turps comment, not that your DH is in Amsterdam

weesaidie · 24/09/2005 21:16

lol myturn. Sorry you had a bad day.

Think I may have one tomorrow. Apparently my mum is 'not great' but can't talk about it on the phone. We are meeting for lunch tomorrow...

My DH has buggered off to celebrate his birthday with his friends (he has at leat 3 he says), hence why I am glued to MN.

myturn · 24/09/2005 21:18

Sorry to hear that WS. Is she not well? Or just having a hard time?

Didn't mean to depress you all by the way - been having a real chuckle on here tonight. Really cheered me up.

MrsSpoon · 24/09/2005 21:18

He was lovely and will be missed.

Still trying to get my head round your DH though, he must have had his passport with him then?

myturn · 24/09/2005 21:18

I've almost had enough wine to believe you!

myturn · 24/09/2005 21:19

Yep, he and said pal are off their heads.

NormaOneMate · 24/09/2005 21:20

Hope you dh brings loads of duty free back Myturn.

weesaidie · 24/09/2005 21:21

Not sure what is going on with my mum. She has been ill, she had a cyst but that should be gone... trying not to worry about it now! Hence MN!

Just read your post about your Mum WS, hope she's OK.

weesaidie · 24/09/2005 21:21

Thanks Norma... what do we think of the alcopops idea? The night is young...

weesaidie · 24/09/2005 21:22

Thanks Mrs Spoon. I hope so too. She has been very mysterious this week. I am sure it is probably nothing, she is a little dramatic at times!

Myturn, text him back your order for the Duty Free, it's the least he can do.

I'd bloomin' throttle my DH if he did that!

myturn · 24/09/2005 21:22

I'll share it with you all! If it was something serious WS, would she keep you hanging on? Sure she wouldn't want you to worry. Perhaps she is just feeling down.

NormaOneMate · 24/09/2005 21:25

Count me in?hick?

weesaidie · 24/09/2005 21:26

I think you are probably right myturn... will find out soon enough!

MrsSpoon · 24/09/2005 21:36

Just remembered there is a bottle of ASDA whisky up the back of the cupboard, don't think I could face that though, bleurrrgh. A couple of cans of Tennants in the fridge too, double bleurrrgh!
