Please can I Introduce Myself?

I hope this is the correct place to post to introduce myself to the world of MumsNet?

I have noooooooo idea where to start, so have you any pointers? I suppose, start posting, stay away from the bunfights and try not to tread on anyones toes ;)

I have a small one, well shes 8 (going on 18) and I am a part time working S/P (nt that that matters of course)

I found this place after it being mentioned on 'A N Other' Parenting site, which quite frankly has died a death, so have come here to see what you guys have to offer.

So, its great to meet you all and I hope that I can settle in nicely.

Valpollicella - Favourite Films are Forest Gump, lots of scary ones and Dirty Dancing. Of which I could use the 'Baby in the Corner' quote and could use my past haunt in there somewhere as one word is used already ooooooh time to get thinking me thinks :)

My name is a reference to something in my past long long ago, before I had children fwiw

Camberwell carrot is a reference to my favourite film which no one has ever heard of - its called Withnail and I and I can quote almost every line of dialogue.

I've heard of With Nail and I and I think I may have seen it, (possibly fallen asleep as normal in films and can never remember what happens)

I can quote every line of Dialogue from Finding Nemo thanks to my DD even after not watching it for 2 years its still firmly etched in my brain. Sigh.
