MC got used to sitting on his potty at bedtime (before bath) and having a story whilst sitting (that was a regular nappy filling time anyway) and it got him used to the concept of sitting for a bit and doing something (although I'm now a bit 
about the reading as he'll sometimes take AGES on the loo in the evening and you go up and find he's smuggled a book in and has read most of it rather than get on with it, have a bath and then read in bed...). But he was really quite small when he was doing this.
We also had a padded loo seat that dropped onto the loo which helped too - more comfortable and less cold I think....
I'm sure he'll get it, just not today.

Don't worry Scout, they all get there in the end and there's absolutely nothing to be gained by getting stressed over it. One of the things that Small Bean liked was the idea of being like Daddy to use the toilet. Not much fun for Mr Bean who probably preferred not to have an audience though 
Picked Small Bean up from school tonight and his first question was whether we could go out for tea. Phoned Mr Bean who was on his way home and we went for an impromptu Italian meal which was lovely!
Friday anyone? I have a RL glass on the go. Does anyone have plans for the weekend?

I still love that he's called MrBean. 
No, definitely not worth getting stressed over -- him or me. And I was very calm, as was SB, until he got worked up about being put on the toilet again. He wants to be a big boy like daddy but he doesn't want to, if that makes sense. MrScout is used to the audience by now. He grumbles about it sometimes but my "I deal with it all day, every day, suck it up" usually shuts down his moans for a day or two.
Not sure what Saturday holds but Sunday we're going out for pizza with the Seniors. How about you?

Morning
We're having JB's birthday party today. It's going to be nuts. There might be as many as 25 to 30 kids there - all but two from his preschool class, and everyone of his little friends from outside preschool. I was thinking maybe half would RSVP and we'd have about 15. 
Guess I was wrong. Some parents have to bring older or younger siblings and that's ok... but, wow. Fortunately it's not at ours I'm not that insane, it'll be at the little gym where he does karate, they do birthday parties and all the clean-up!!. Might need after.

UniS - we take over a (rather down at heel) greyhound racing 'stadium' (hahaha) and race round the track with a lure whizzing around the edge on a channel.... There will be simulated coursing later on in the year at some events, which we will also be trying with her! I now know why she's a failed worker - 'OOooh there's a stick, look it flies, and I can pounce on it and toss it again and pounce on it and .. oh you said squirrel - no, can't see that, Looook my STICK !!!!. If you get her to come to you (no, I'm not coming to you with my STICK) and hold her head and point her in the right direction, she sometimes manages to spot the squirrel..... Not that that is a problem when racing - although she's so busy struggling to get away from me that she gets a really bad start and always leaves the start about 2 lengths behind the others anyway! (She doesn't care she's not first, and we're not worried - she loves taking part and the rest doesn't matter!!!)

I had it Saturday night (ugh), and have been feeling off for most of the week. JB had it Weds night but was bouncing around again by Thurs am . DH is suffering today but has neither D not V just a massive grump on but is miserable nonetheless.
And my laptop is in the hospital with a pinched nerve cable that means the screen doesn't work.
What a week.
May I please have a new one?
