Tearoom 35: Sun, sea and sand...

beanandspud · 27/01/2013 20:33

This breathtakingly beautiful island has unspoilt powdery white sand beaches, crystalline turquoise waters that wash over pristine coral reefs, and verdant green rainforest.

Scuba diving, snorkelling, kayaking and sailing trips are available and you can discover the island's charms on foot (with or without Mellors the guide) by mountain bike or private island buggy.

For those in need of pampering the spa offers a selection of luxurious treatments to soothe and heal both body and soul.

For dining, enjoy a freshly prepared meal at the tearoom, a picnic on the beach, or a delicious dinner in the oceanfront restaurant with its stunning sea views. There is Wine, Brew and good company, everybody is welcome.

pass us a glass then Wine thank you.

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 18/10/2013 23:08

Yes Wine please!

Jacksmania · 19/10/2013 19:57

I'll have one, too, please Wine.

How's everyone?

DH is away this weekend, in sunny Arizona allow me to pint out it's chilly and foggy here so DS and I are amusing ourselves with sleeping in, and various projects like carving a pumpkin, and drawing, and playing Dragonvale on the iPad...

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 19/10/2013 19:58

::Pours Wine for JM::

Sounds like a good weekend, JM.

I'm still trying to get SB to sleep. There goes my night.

UniS · 23/10/2013 21:04

who else watched bake off? what am I going to do with my Tuesday nights now its finished?

Scout19075 · 26/10/2013 22:25

My nose/sinuses/face still hurt. Hmm Sad

Still have a lot to do but think I'll probably just give up and go to bed.

UniS, we wanted Bake Off. Were you happy with the winner?

mistlethrush · 27/10/2013 09:06

DH has found the auzzie and US 'bake off' versions...

Been away with DS with my parents in a cottage in kent for the week - its been remarkably good weatherwise given the forecast. Lots of castles 'done'. Deal is very 'castly' - dark passages around the bottom with the gun slits.

UniS · 27/10/2013 18:27

yep- happy enough, I'd have really liked Kimberley to win, but her Pie was a failure and her wedding cake was odd looking.

mistlethrush · 27/10/2013 18:30

I've still got to watch the last episode as I didn't get to see it last week (away with parents and mini).

I have a small (ok, not so small) ginger shadow again - she's VERY pleased to see us home!

Scout19075 · 28/10/2013 10:14

Birthday Cake anyone? SB is telling everyone he's four and that he'll be five on his next birthday.

mistlethrush · 28/10/2013 10:18

Happy birthday small scout! Don't wish away the years too quickly

Scout19075 · 28/10/2013 16:31

He's just been bouncy the last few days. I think he's going to burst.

LalaLeona · 30/10/2013 18:32

Hi fellow mums and dads of lovely only kids..just wanted to recommend a really nice children's book, my only dc read and really enjoyed. It's called The Only Child Club, and it's by Anne Fine. Really great for 4-9 year olds, and nice to see a book without the typical mum dad and two kids scenario.
Thanks, that is all :)

UniS · 30/10/2013 20:07

Thanks Lala, not read that one, I'll look it out if the library have it.

Happy birthday small scout. He's not old enough for beaver scouts yet is he?

Boy has had a fantastic two days at BMX coaching days. NO probs with him joining in a group of kids he doesn't know , so long as he is on a bike he is Mr Confident. Sharing stiff at school he is fine with Sharing his own stuff he is less good at.

Scout19075 · 02/11/2013 17:45

I need a vat of Wine.

mistlethrush · 02/11/2013 19:29

Any reason in particular? (Although I'll join you I think)

Lots of fireworks... we have bought the dog a special coat that's meant to help her be calmer - and it seems to be working.

Jacksmania · 03/11/2013 17:36

I'll join you, too. What's up, Scout? And mistle?

UniS · 03/11/2013 20:00

how does that dog coat work? is it weighted? Wonder if it would work on boys.

Have been at my parents for a couple of days. boy has been hyper, all but bouncing off the walls. GREAT, just what I needed in a small flat with my noise phobic father.

mistlethrush · 03/11/2013 20:43

It might... it wraps her chest up quite tightly - not down over tummy area, just the rib area... not quite sure why it works, but it seems to. Its stretchy though and she can move (and breathe!) freely - but it seems to calm her.

Just sung Faure requiem for All Souls service.

UniS · 03/11/2013 20:48

ohhh, nice piece of music. Lucky you.
DH and his choir did their first of two performances yesterday, of, The armed man by Karl Jenkins. I'll go to next week performance. DH said it was good and suprisingly loud. May have boy climbing into my lap for the loud bits.

mistlethrush · 03/11/2013 22:40

DS slept through Belshazzar's feast (500 strong choir, symphony orchestra and 2, yes, 2 brass bands) when he was 5 wks - and hasn't seen fit to change. First set of carols next week apparently....

UniS · 04/11/2013 20:17

Carols ( as in choir practise for carols) starts mid november, tho boy and I did listen to a christmas CD in the car on sunday and sang along a bit too. I'm wondering which medieval french carol she will have found for us this year, DH is hoping for Carol of the bells because its short , he likes it and he knows the tenor part .

mistlethrush · 04/11/2013 22:19

Our first performance is next Tuesday!!!!
