Child with large Wart on Face in DD's Nursery

hedgegatemum · 20/02/2022 20:46

Is it okay to have children (babies aged 9 months) with large visible and uncovered warts in a nursery setting on the face (where it will be touched daily and touch surfaces etc.)? DD is only 8 months.

OP posts:
JungleJimbo · 20/02/2022 20:46

Yes it's fine

PartyPlan · 20/02/2022 20:47

How do you know it’s a wart? Are you scared your DD will catch one from the child?

Imissmoominmama · 20/02/2022 20:49

I have two warts on my thumb- nobody else has caught them, despite holding my hand.

saraclara · 20/02/2022 20:50

Of course it's fine.

Jeeze. Poor kid and his poor parents. S/he's already being viewed with suspicion because of their facial disfigurement.

Itsalmostanaccessory · 20/02/2022 20:50

Warts aren't all contagious. Leave the poor child alone.

ItsSnowJokes · 20/02/2022 20:51

Wow, just wow is all I can say to this.

Chloemol · 20/02/2022 20:52

Yes, of course it’s fine

Don’t be so judgemental

MrsBungle · 20/02/2022 20:53

How do you know it’s a wart? My dd had 3 large skin tags by her ear when she was a baby.

Pinkflipflop85 · 20/02/2022 20:56

Judgemental much?

What so you want the nursery staff to not touch this child, or ask them to leave?
Hmbleybee · 20/02/2022 20:58

Not at all. They should be locked away in a leper colony.

Is that what you want to hear?

ShadowPuppets · 20/02/2022 20:59

What a horrible thing to say. I’ve had a wart on my thumb for 3 years and my DD had never caught it.

I sincerely hope this is a worried mum with a reverse rather than a nasty, judgmental post from someone genuine.

kitcat15 · 20/02/2022 21:00

🙄FFS

WouldIwasShookspeared · 20/02/2022 21:00

What would you like the nursery to do?

Sandsnake · 20/02/2022 21:00

Does he also have knobbly knees and turned out toes? If so, maybe have a word with the nursery. If there’s purple prickles all over his back then you’re definitely screwed.

That poor baby. I’m sure you didn’t (I hope you didn’t) but I can’t help visualising you dropping off your PFB and eyeing this poor little soul with disgust and suspicion. Sad

Do you think its OK?
Katya213 · 20/02/2022 21:08

That poor kid!

Satingreenshutters · 20/02/2022 21:10

Jesus fucking wept.

Dindundundundeeer · 20/02/2022 21:14

OP I can understand your worried, but do believe people, it’s fine.

Sirzy · 20/02/2022 21:14

This reminds me of the person who told my parents I shouldn’t be out in public when I was a baby because of the big strawberry nevus I had on my head.

Benjispruce5 · 20/02/2022 21:15

It’s probably a birth mark.

Glitterbells · 20/02/2022 21:16

If this is not a wind up, I hope you are utterly ashamed

NiceTwin · 20/02/2022 21:17

What are your concerns?
Whatever they are, they are probably unfounded.
