What song lyrics do you just not "get"?

I was listening to that Katy Melua rubbish Closest Thing to Crazy today on the radio, and it just hit me... wtf is she on about...

"Feeling 22.... acting 17!"

So. She's feeling five years older than she's acting? Is that right?

It's not that blardy crazy love though, is it?

The "Ironic" song by Alanis Morrisette use to bother me. Most of the situations weren't ironic really, just bad luck (eg raiiiiaiiiin on your wedding day).

actually, ANYTHING by Katie melua is guaranteed to have rubbish lyrics.

There was a fab thread months ago parodying her song that goes on about her being a boat, - can't remember it at the mo, but the lyrics are hilarious- and she is a fruit loop!

A very peciliar lyric, as the priest said in The Commitments.

Katie Melua went on the radio with Mark radcliffe singing a funny version of the nailing to the floor song with new lyrics written by a listener. Twas v. funny....
