I was listening to that Katy Melua rubbish Closest Thing to Crazy today on the radio, and it just hit me... wtf is she on about...

"Feeling 22.... acting 17!"

So. She's feeling five years older than she's acting? Is that right?

It's not that blardy crazy love though, is it?

Obviously loaded with symbolism, dog. That cake must represent something

Richard Harris' version is the worst, complete self indulgent twaddle

mc arthur park: 'someone left the cake out in the rain.It took so long bake it and i'm not sure that I can take it and I'll never have that recipe again.......'

my sister had the wombles album. I was a Bay city rollers fan

I'm not entirely sure which is more embarrassing...

quite easily if they didn't have mirrors anywhere amongst their newspaper walls

Any connection to the wombles makes Mr Batt instantly forgivable in my eyes, but I wouldn't buy his or Katie's records. DH would divorce me!

you see i always wondered about the lyrics to Remember you're a womble.

How would you forget??

I'm not a Katie Melua fan but I did hear her on the radio sending the sailboat song up and it was very funny. Listeners sent in suggestions and she did the whole song with them so at least she's got a sense of humour!

16 vestal virgins... that's a bit odd too.

A very peciliar lyric, as the priest said in The Commitments.

Katie Melua went on the radio with Mark radcliffe singing a funny version of the nailing to the floor song with new lyrics written by a listener. Twas v. funny....

All of 'Come Together' by the Beetles

Here come old flattop, he come grooving up slowly
He got joo-joo eyeball, he one holy roller
He got hair down to his knee
Got to be a joker he just do what he please

He wear no shoeshine, he got toe-jam football
He got monkey finger, he shoot coca-cola
He say "I know you, you know me"
One thing I can tell you is you got to be free
Come together right now over me

He bag production, he got walrus gumboot
He got Ono sideboard, he one spinal cracker
He got feet down below his knee
Hold you in his armchair you can feel his disease
Come together right now over me

[Right!
Come, oh, come, come, come.]

He roller-coaster, he got early warning
He got muddy water, he one mojo filter
He say "One and one and one is three"
Got to be good-looking cos he's so hard to see
Come together right now over me

Great song to listen too - but very strange lyrics imo

think the Desiree one was recently voted one of the daftest ever lyrics, along with

' glad my breasts are small and humble, so you don't confuse them with mountains'- Shakira , Whenever, whereever ' (which i think lost something in translation , lol!
