Morning MN Swifties!

As if today wasn't exciting enough, I woke up this morning to news of the lyric changes on Rep - what is she up to??

Anyway, I'm trying to avoid all the coverage online about the tour doc and the new show film, until this evening when I settle down with my one Swiftie mate to drink wine and watch Disney+!

Cannot wait to see TTPD on something other than a grainy livestream 😁

Ok, well I'm just casually bumping, just in case.

I haven’t got there yet, what’s the lyric change?

SafeAndStranded · 12/12/2025 18:46

I've watched both episodes and the full concert. Loved the documentary. It made me cry though. Also loved the TTPD addition and the fact they showed the transitions between the eras. I've had a very productive day!

AccidentallyWesAnderson · 12/12/2025 18:59

Currently starting the documentary for the second time 😂. Watched the first two this morning, can’t find anything else to watch so have just poured a wine to go again. I also cried.

I always come away from these documentaries with another level of affection and respect for her. She's awesome 😻

Absolutely bawled over here, even DH teared up at Kam’s story; he came to Edinburgh with glitter in his beard!

I found the combination of reliving the memories of the best summer of my life (went 3 times, in 3 different countries) combined with the realities of putting on such a huge production and the fact that they tackled the more challenging topics head on, really overwhelming. I always thought how brave it was coming back after Vienna but this really showed the weight of expectation she feels and how much of it relies on her and her alone having the right attitude. The pilot analogy was spot on!

Bowled over by how amazing her leadership skills are. She sets the highest of high bars for everyone around her but then goes around inspiring everyone to meet her there. Loved the rehearsals with Florence and Ed- really showed the raw talent of all of them.

I also thought it comes across as staggeringly clear how grounded she is, both about the money and her talent. I absolutely sobbed at the scenes of her preparing the bonuses by hand, for everyone, even the truck drivers and her very clear understanding that she was handing out life changing amounts of money and that every single person on her crew deserved it. She was equally as grounded about her talent, saying how important it was that she wants dancers who “pull focus” and how inspired she is by the skills and talents of her team. There’s also plenty of screen time devoted to the band and dancers, showcasint their personal stories.

The same with Miss Americana, I came full of curiosity of what goes on behind the talent and the machine and came away bowled over by her as a person.

Hello everyone!

I don't have Disney, I'm about to sort this out.... can anyone tell me, do the episodes disappear? I'm quite quiet over Christmas so ideally I would like to sit down and watch the whole thing then.

But if the episodes disappear, then I need to watch it this weekend?

Thank you!

All I have heard so far from social media is Florence describing Taylor as a "cosy" person. That's so cute. 🥰

Silvercoconut · 13/12/2025 10:47

No, they don't. They'll be there for you to watch when you have the time!

Weepingwillows12 · 13/12/2025 10:48

Would the show be appropriate for a 9 year old or is it targeted at adults please?

Going to start with the last Eras show first, relive that glorious night 7 at Wembley!
I’m not fussed about ‘spoilers’ so I’ve seen a few clips where she talks about Southport, I feel it’ll be an emotional watch.

How are you watching that please? I mean the Wembley show specifically?

In myvopinion, absolutely fine for a 9-year-old - there were plenty of them watching it live! Vigilante Shit has a mildly saucy burlesque-ish dance routine, but TayTay doesn't really do 'sexy', again imo. There's swearing in some of the songs but again, not something I would worry about too much. It's certainly not 'for adults only' - she knows her audience range!

I really enjoyed the doc and am looking forward to the other episodes. Watching it with my Swiftie friend, we too always come away in exhausted awe of her work rate and imagination. She is genuinely incredible, she just never rests.

I thought the TTPD set in the concert film was really a highlight. I have almost complete amnesia of the Wembley show I saw (night 6) and tiktok versions don't do it justice! Just an incredible production.

OP posts:
EmeraldRoulette · 13/12/2025 13:33

@TheAlcott is there a concert film as part of the documentary? I'm so confused.

But I really want to do this justice, so I'm waiting to sit down and watch it thoroughly.

TheAlcott · 13/12/2025 13:48

@EmeraldRoulette there is a 6-part documentary about the tour (all brand new backstage stuff, showing them planning and rehearsing etc), plus a separate whole new version of the original Eras Tour film. This was filmed over the last 3 nights of the tour, in Vancouver, and includes the TTPD set.

DecemberSkies · 13/12/2025 13:49

Watched the documentary... also bawled! The strength it must take to switch off the tears and worry when she knows people need her to be stoic and happy.

The media is already criticising, basically saying the bonuses etc are all about manipulating public opinion. There would have been much less taxing ways to do it then hand writing and wax sealing that many cards if that were the case!

Also loved how she didn't want to overshadow the choreography for Florence's song. Florence's and Ed Sheeran are two more who I have always thought to be genuine and down to earth people so it was nice to see them included in the back stage footage.

Can't wait for the rest, saving the new full show for my day off in the week 😁

JaneIves · 13/12/2025 14:04

@EmeraldRouletteI mean just relive the concert. I went on N7 at Wembley, as a PP has mentioned, I also have post concert amnesia. The one with the Doc is updated with the TTPD set, filmed in Vancouver on the last nights of the Eras tour.

TheAlcott · 13/12/2025 14:16

So predictable, isn't it? God forbid she should be setting an example, showing how you should treat people who are working their arses off for you! Did anyone catch the dancer who had to take a few puffs of their inhaler after learning the size of the bonus - apparently she effectively made them millionaires...

I like how just as much time is spent telling the stories of the other people who made it happen, not just Taylor. Kam, Mandy, Amos, etc.

OP posts:
EmeraldRoulette · 13/12/2025 15:12

oh wow

So I have seven things to watch when I get to this! I knew the documentary was six parts but I didn't realise a full show was coming out as well. For some reason, I thought she'd save that for a cinema release later.

Blimey, maybe I should've started today. I haven't even downloaded or paid for Disney yet but I think I'll leave that till I've got the time to sit down and make the most of a month subscription or whatever I'm taking.

In terms of the Florence choreography, I remember how many comments there were to Karen the dancer about how she had Florence stroking her hair 😂 having that must've been very exciting!

okay, who was on the inhaler after becoming a millionaire? I think I'd be the same 😂

user1471548941 · 13/12/2025 21:20

Hi @JaneIveswas also at Wembley N7! Screamed my heart out to get Long Live x Change because I’ve been a Swiftie, that long!

ShesTheAlbatross · 13/12/2025 21:29

I’ve watched them both. Are they coming out one at a time now, weekly on Fridays? Or will it be another two next week?

I loved the bit where Florence talked about coming up onto the stage and thinking “oh my god, it’s Taylor fucking Swift”

TheMateofOphelia · 13/12/2025 22:25

I've started watching. I was at Wembley shoe (Aug 15th) so it's crazy seeing the behind the scenes lead up to that.

cheeseomelette · 13/12/2025 22:45

I was at the London Florence show. It was totally amazing. 🤩
We also got Raye and jack Antonof so really lucked out that night.

I skipped 5min in the first part where they talked about the planned terror attacks and Southport. I didn’t want my little girl (who is a worrier and very sensitive) to be upset about the attacks in Southport or worry when she goes to dance classes. We watched all the rest together, it’s ok for a 9 year old IMO apart from a few swear words.

we’ve been to a Wembley show after Vienna and I didn’t tell her about Vienna to not worry her.
