OK, I think they were the BEST secret songs so far! It's it over now with I wish you would then Haunted × EXILE on piano!!

EmmaEmerald · 25/02/2024 11:33

I heard last night that Bon Iver was in Sydney, wonder if it's true.

I'm puzzled by the livestreams. I'm guessing there's been a legal thing and they must have to give her a cut of any profit, or possibly have paid her to be allowed to livestream? I heard something about attendees wanting to avoid being seated next to livestream seats.

TheTorturedPoetsDepartment · 25/02/2024 11:45

I watch the lives on tik tok through a girll called TessDear. Basically people at the concert just 'go live' on their own phones. The girl tess finds the best ones and streams it through her channel. Taylor knows too because a few shows back I think she said hi to all the people watching live. I think there was around 45000 people watching the same one as me now.

Taylormiffed · 25/02/2024 16:05

I watched the last Love On Tour in Italy via a livestream phone. The fan tour accounts on twitter popped all the options up so we could find the best views. Still in denial I might have to do this for Eras.

EmmaEmerald · 25/02/2024 16:15

The ones I'm aware of aren't going through just a phone and they aren't present themselves

They've monetized their channels so I'm thinking they did a deal, especially with people saying they don't want to sit next to the livestream seats.

doubleshotcappuccino · 25/02/2024 16:34

Her music is threaded through every stage or DDs life - so many precious memories wrapped around her songs. I couldn't listen to Taylor's music for a few months when my girl went to uni but we're back to enjoying it. She's an amazing lyricist

doubleshotcappuccino · 25/02/2024 16:34

Of DD's life **

Hope you're okay @WrenNatsworthy

This is a very beautiful thing....last night in Sydney, Sabrina didn't do her warm up due to rain, so Taylor brought her on to sing White Horse together.

I'm out of hospital now , oh this is so lovely @EmmaEmerald 😍

No coat hangers @TheTorturedPoetsDepartment thankfully! Are you in healthcare? I'm feeling v grateful for the NHS again today.

I'm probably going to end up spending around 1k on this concert 💀 from tickets, to hotel, travel & outfits! I can't be the only one ?!! Worth it though

I bought hospitality and I have to pay for hotel and train from London - Liverpool. so I'm trying not to think about it!

EineReiseDurchDieZeit · 25/02/2024 18:38

@Fluffycloudsfloatinginthesky

Do your best to early book that train. Avanti are shit.

lifeisawillow3 · 25/02/2024 18:58

@Fluffycloudsfloatinginthesky have you booked your hotel yet? My tickets were 380, hotel 320, travel is only 30 to be fair but got to get me and DH outfits, and we're spending the night up Cardiff the night before (staying 2 nights) I have anxiety about all the trains getting cancelled the day of the concert so we're going up the day before 🤣

Fluffycloudsfloatinginthesky · 25/02/2024 19:28

@lifeisawillow3 yes I booked hotels in Edinburgh and Liverpool straight after the announcement before I even got tickets. I released Edinburgh one after I got Liverpool tickets.

@EineReiseDurchDieZeit I have a note every couple of weeks to check the dates trains have been released for so I can book day of release. We are Saturday night and I must admit for first time ever I will take my y8dd out of school so we can catch a mid afternoon train on the Friday. Oldest is y12 and finishes at 1pm anyway. Although she has heard a rumour a level mocks start on the Monday - they were originally announced as being in May. So not great timing but she will just have to revise in advance and I will make sure we get an early ish train home Sunday instead of staying whole day as I had planned.

Fluffycloudsfloatinginthesky · 25/02/2024 19:34

@lifeisawillow3

Yes we are doing 2 nights as well - same thing of not taking a risk.

Our hotel is £360 ish, train i am hoping for about £80ish if I can get cheapest tickets.

With tickets it's coming in about £2k which is horrendous - I must have been having a funny moment when I bought the tickets. It was a couple of weeks after I got my annual bonus so I was obviously feeling in a good mood.

I am treating it as our summer holiday....

EmmaEmerald · 25/02/2024 19:46

@WrenNatsworthy So glad to see you and that you're home
Here's a very gentle cover of a song I don't know well... interested to know what others think. I bet she'd enjoy doing a full on disco version.

yes, concerts sound expensive. I went to stuff in London if I could get the bus home, but nothing bigger than Wembley Arena. Much less expensive then too!

TheTorturedPoetsDepartment · 25/02/2024 20:42

@WrenNatsworthy glad your home and hopefully just a minor setback. 🙏 I'm a nurse on a specialist palliative team for hospice. Absolutely love it, as strange as that might sound to some!

SirSamVimesCityWatch · 25/02/2024 20:43

Tickets for DD and I were £300 all in (ish) and we've luckily got a relative with a flat in Edinburgh who doesn't mind us crashing on the floor. We're also planning on getting the train, am waiting for the super saver tickets to release, have got an alert on so hopefully will be able to get tickets at an ok price. Haven't sorted outfits yet as I can't decide which era I want to dress as!

@WrenNatsworthy although we never want anyone to need hospice, I'm so glad you have them. I've been off for a week and actually miss all my wee patients, it's like having 30 extra kids to love and worry about! I also keep them all upto date on the latest Taylor news, even they know how obsessed I am!

Just FYI, the Guardian is now doing a Swift Notes newsletter - I signed up this morning 😁

I'm trying to keep off social media a bit (have deleted tiktok / ig) so thought that - and this thread of course - might help in their absence!

lifeisawillow3 · 27/02/2024 10:56

Does anyone know if they do ID checks on tickets? I bought my tickets with my maiden name and since been married and changed my name on all my ID, so my tickets are in my old name not my married name. Would this be a problem?

SummaLuvin · 27/02/2024 11:08

@lifeisawillow3 from what I understand the UK leg of the Eras Tour is not a lead booker event. So therefore no ID checks needed, though there could be age related checks for the standing area.

There was some confusion about this as during the Midnights pre-order presale nothing was stated anywhere that it was a lead booker event, then during the general sale it was added into the FAQ that is was (but still nothing clear popping when purchasing which is required if it is lead booker). This obviously caused panic as some people has bought on behalf of children who they wouldn't be going with, or on their partners credit card... but they did go back on that within a few days and confirm that it would not be lead booker. As confirmed in the ticketmaster FAQs

drivinmecrazy · 27/02/2024 11:19

Really not a fan of all of the hype surrounding TS though DD2 is.
Luckily managed to get tickets for her and DD1 at Wembley.
Obviously DD1 is going under sufferance to support her sister 😂
But I was blown away last week when got an email saying we were being refunded for the hoodie we'd ordered DD2 for Christmas due to late delivery.
DH was thrilled to have an extra £85 in his bank account but DD managed to wrap him around her little finger (again!) so has used the money to buy a Noah Kahan hoodie!
So she managed to bad both hoodies for the prove of one.
TS has soared in reputation in my mind, seems to actually care about her fans

SummaLuvin · 28/02/2024 12:49

For anyone who didn't get tickets but wanted them, pretty sure @TheSandHurtsMyFeelings was one, but there were others too?

Today a new Madrid date has been added, not announced on instagram yet, but it is on her website and Ticketmaster. Due to go on sale at 3pm today apparently (not sure if that's Spanish time or UK and not sure if code is needed). However, it does also mean that hope may not be lost for more UK dates, really keeping my fingers crossed for you 🤞🏻🏟️

Oooh that's interesting @SummaLuvin, thank you for the heads up! Fingers crossed for more UK dates, indeed.

(Although...maybe I could wangle a weekend in beautiful Madrid as well 😁)
