DD is so excited!

Yes, same as my DDs college. You get given your track from year 2. At this point in time, we have no idea. It's like the sorting hat in Harry potter.
Love the new pictures. Your DD is obviously working hard and that is everything in this business. That,and being a nice person. My friend is resident director on a big west end show at the moment and she says time and time again, she employs people who are grounded, hardworking and nice. There's not much in it when it comes to talent last a certain point so values are the deciding factor.

Dd definatly wants to go the MT route. She's passed her assessments so is safe til year 11 - then she has some big decisions to make.

I wish we lived closer too.....not just for singing lessons!!

Dd has a new singing teacher by the way (she gets on better if it's not dad teaching). She's really come on.

We need to do the same for driving lessons

My dd had a cold and went to bed but she'll catch it again no doubt.

How amazing and for me completely blew away the efforts of TSOM, which was atrocious
I don't have a complaint, which isn't like me at all. It's also not my dh thing at all, yet he sat mesmerised and described it as almost perfection.
Imelda Staunton was just exceptional and the other actors, singers and dancers were the top of their game too.

I wish I lived closer to London there is so much I'd like to see.

My dd singing teachers are telling her that her voice will be mature enough for opera and classical when she is in late twenties and will improve through her 30's.
I know your dd is much older than mine and not studying classically but it just shows how long it takes to become fully mature.
Your dd will improve as she gets older, especially if she has a good teacher.

We'll see - she had a lovely gospel/slightly black voice as a young teen then wanted to sing properly so I sent her to a 'proper' singing teacher & she came out with a small thin soprano

BGM's husband had a go at getting her real voice out, & it really helped - I think we will have to go back (if he will have us) for another go
