Postcomm, the UK regulator of postal services (including Royal Mail, and other mail delivery companies) want to hear about all your experiences of using postal services -including both Post Office and the Royal Mail deliveries. Experiences may be good or bad - but should ideally relate to you as a parent or parent to be.

Everyone who completes this mini survey will be entered into a prize draw to win £250 of John Lewis vouchers and the survey is open to all UK Mumsnetters who are either parents or who are expecting to be a parent in the near future.

Thanks and good luck, MNHQ.

done.

i want to win - JL stock both white stuff and fat face clothes i want to re-do my wardrobe.

terribletwos · 27/01/2010 11:35

Done but bit of an open ended question??? surely my experience of the p.o. doesn't really matter if I'm a mum or not?

5inthebed · 27/01/2010 11:36

Done, but can't see the relevance of the question. I'd still like to win though

BigBadMummy · 27/01/2010 12:40

I hope they haven't paid an expensive consultant to come up with that survey.

What results are they looking for?

I really don't get it.

Done it though

BelleDeChocolateFluffyBunny · 27/01/2010 14:49

I order christmas presents online so I don't have to take ds shopping with me, does this mean the post office takes over the role of father christmas??

I'm still confused.

nickytwotimes · 27/01/2010 16:21

DOne it. Didn't understand it either...

JGBMum · 27/01/2010 18:23

Done. Echo all the other comments - what can they hope to learn from this survey - except that we all love JL!

AnnMumsnet · 27/01/2010 18:24

We can see some of you are a bit about this survey - it is intended to help inform Postcomms thinking about postal services and what they can do to make them more accessible to parents - they just want to see what kind of issues affect parents with regard to the whole postal system.

fruitful · 27/01/2010 18:38

I no longer get to put my own letters into the postbox, does that count?

Dozymare · 27/01/2010 19:36

Done - actually thought it was quite relevant to being a parent - I use the PO so much more now than before being a parent and use lots of services that I never did before (such as registered post) the services provided by RM are great - the actual experience of being in the post office is dire - long queues and rude staff (but that could be just mine!)

Agree could have been dar more detailed though!

potatofactory · 27/01/2010 20:00

I want vouchers.

As for the survey,

Doodlez · 27/01/2010 23:12

Damn - I want to go back and change my answer but it won't let me!

Tell them - I was mightily pissed off when they closed down post office savings accounts. I had one for both children and when they culled them, I had to drag off to the bank and open accounts for them there.

Not earth shattering but bloody irritiating!

Ta.

strawberrycalpol · 28/01/2010 12:42

Done.

cyteen · 28/01/2010 12:53

lol fruitful

Done.

madhairday · 28/01/2010 13:16

done but crapola survey

thatsnotmymonster · 28/01/2010 13:17

yes I have something else I'd like to add but can't now. Tis about queueing in a post office with 3 pre-schoolers- nightmare

aSilverLining · 28/01/2010 13:34

done

Hassled · 28/01/2010 14:19

Absolutely baffling. I would love to know what they're going to learn from the responses.

SaltireOShanter · 28/01/2010 14:34

A better question might have been to list any problems you ahve had with RM - but I'd be here for hours listing mine. I actually got a disciplinaru raised against the sorting office manager here. Which probably explains the problems I have

MrsKitty · 28/01/2010 15:02

Oooh another chance for JL vouchers

Amani · 28/01/2010 15:15

done!

ThePinkOne · 28/01/2010 16:28

I think they're probably using it as a way to advertise thier role

I'm on an online survey site and have had formula surveys before that just come across as advertising!

southeastastra · 28/01/2010 16:55

blinkni postcomm, surely they know what's wrong with the service themselved. isn't that what they are paid to monitor?
