We’ve been asked by a restaurant brand to ask a few questions to help them design their children’s meals.

This survey is open to all UK Mumsnetters who have at least one child aged 5 - 11 years old.

Please add your details at the end and you’ll be entered into a prize draw where one MNer will win a £300 voucher of their choice (from a list).

Click here to complete the survey.

Thanks and good luck!

Done!

TheHumanMothboy · 19/04/2018 01:33

Done, but- I have never taken my children to McDonald's in their life.
And my child this survey covered won't eat any of those options Hmm
But if they're revamping happy meals, why all the questions about advertising?
I think all advertising to children should be banned, btw.

SadieHH · 19/04/2018 01:37

@ChoccyJules why? They sell food and they have seating, what else should they call themselves? Or are you just being a little bit snotty about them...

TheHumanMothboy · 19/04/2018 01:37

I don't think I'm their target audience! Grin

ChoccyJules · 19/04/2018 09:22

@SadieHH I don't see it as a cafe or a restaurant (and no I haven't looked up the definitions of these, this is my own categorisation). I guess I would call it a fast food joint. Joint because it is American in origin. Get food in bag, find plastic table, eat food. Or wander in to use loo and avoid the counter completely Wink . That may come across as snotty but it's just how I've seen it since I first started going there as a teenager. That's the vibe.

slyoldfoxystoat · 19/04/2018 10:08

Done. I hope they include more vegetarian/vegan options with more salad etc.

madeyemoodysmum · 19/04/2018 10:18

Fine

COuld they not have been more specific about the vegetarian and vegan options?! My son would eat cheese, but not chickpea!

Done, thanks. Now I want a McDonald’s 😂

dadshere · 20/04/2018 08:48

I would never take my daughter to McDonalds, not even if it was free

steppemum · 20/04/2018 09:06

I have a feeling that this isn't about happy meals at all, it is getting amunition to stop government banning advertising I suspect.

PerfectlySymmetricalButtocks · 20/04/2018 10:21

Happy meals are for up to age 11? They're too small for DD 10. She generally has a chicken sandwich meal, but most of the time we go in for breakfast, the last day of the school holidays.

steppemum · 20/04/2018 10:23

I agree, happy meals are too small for dd aged 10, have been for about a year

Bollockingfuck · 20/04/2018 19:18

What happens if you have a user name like mine? I’m guessing they wouldn’t want that shared on any platform! Grin
