Done. I love Christmas so happy to start thinking about it early!
LemonEmmaP · 14/05/2015 11:36
I gave up...too many hard questions . I can't remember what I spent last week and certainly not what I spent last Christmas.

Done. God knows why - I never win anything!

Done. Another one that loves plotting Christmas throughout the year.
On the questionnaire when you talk about timings of planning things you start with January - any chance you could add in an option of 'Previous Christmas' - we often decide that we've done say Christmas Lunch at one person's house this year so next year we'll aim to do it at another person's house. Or a 'see you same time, same place, next year...'
This will then be reconfirmed later in the year but the initial decision is made over the Christmas holidays ready for next year's Christmas.
Hope that makes sense!

Done. The prices etc were mostly averaged as I can't remember to the penny, even though it wasn't that long ago...
OhNoNotMyBaby · 14/05/2015 13:21
yes me too. I love thinking about it but I won't start doing anything about it til September.
I should have mentioned Christmas rituals somewhere in all the questions I think. It would be good to read about all the funny things people HAVE to do aside from the carrot for Rudolph and mince pie for the big man.
I always have to buy the tree from the same place - even though I can get it cheaper elsewhere. We all have to argue about it for at least half an hour. We all walk the dog in the 'event day' place (as opposed to the everyday walking place) before any present opening takes place (aside from stockings).

As a Christmas nut, self professed, and a book lover too, this is right up my street!!
PinkSquash · 14/05/2015 14:51
Yay it's Christmas
MardyBra · 14/05/2015 15:19
Done but MNHQ, may I politely refer you to Pedants' Corner for some advice on the use of "myself" and "yourself". It was me what cooked dinner, not myself.

Oh yes Mardy - I had a reflexive pronoun shudder too
Purpleflamingos · 14/05/2015 18:03
Can you check whether I have done it? I pressed submit but it took me back to the beginning of the survey.

lilacmamacat · 15/05/2015 10:08
yep, done, and seconding the thanks for opening it up to international MumsNetters.
MrsHathaway · 15/05/2015 10:17
I got confused by the "how much did you spend on presents" question - should it be "each" or "in total"?
eg if I have three children and spend £50 on each, should I tick £50 or £150?
Otherwise DONE.
elQuintoConyo · 15/05/2015 10:57
Done! And another thanks here for making it open to non-UK residents
I did have to waffle a little about the supermarkets I use - Lidl and Aldi are here - thank heavens! - but there wasn't an option to tick 'other/non-UK supermarket. I hope you enjoyed learning about traditional Spanidh Christmas lunch
LeChien · 15/05/2015 11:55
Done.
Same as MrsHathaway, I was confused about that question. I answered as a total, not each.
Kaye1234 · 15/05/2015 13:12
Done thanks
