Farmhouse Breakfast Week is an annual campaign that in 2011 runs from 23 - 29 January. This year's theme is "Shake Up Your Wake Up" and organisers HGCA are challenging everyone to rethink their morning routine.

In advance of the week in January they have asked us to find out all about your mornings - is it a struggle? Do you find time for breakfast? What would help you have more time for yourself?

Please take a few minutes to complete the survey - everyone who does and who adds their details at the end will be entered into a prize draw where one lucky winner will receive a £250 Love to Shop voucher (accepted in 20,000 UK stores).

This survey is open to all Mumsnetters with at least one child in the UK.

Thanks and good luck,
MNHQ.

Done, but I agree, there were some important optinos missing from the multi choice answers.

Done, and with my name, surely I deserve to win? Wink

Done. Made me realise quite how much cleaning I have to do everyday (and fail to do). Gah.

Thing I would most like to happen in the morning - dh to be able to help out more, unfortunately he has to be out of the door somewhat earlier than the rest of us as he starts work at 8, so I have no option but to wrangle the children on my own.

No option for working hours interfering with morning routine.

AnnMumsnet · 09/12/2010 13:28

Thanks to everyone who has completed the survey so far!
bosch and others who asked about the survey - Farmhouse Breakfast Week asked us to run the survey to find out what your mornings were like - they are interested to know where breakfast fits into the time for mums - they appreciate everyone is different and the questions are aiming to capture this. The stats from the survey - as with many surveys we are asked to conduct - will be used for a press release to highlight their activity in the new year. Hope this helps Smile

I was surprised to see that in a survey aimed at parents, one of the options for what makes you most stressed in the mornings was not 'getting children up, dressed in uniform and appropriately for the weather, and in possession of all their packed lunches, homework, sports kit and miscellaneous items and forms, out of the house and to school on time'. I really don't think I'm the only one....

exexpat, agree. was ready to tick that option - in the end put children getting under my feet

Done, I normally prefer to have my breakfast after the school run.

MrsTittleMouse · 10/12/2010 12:39

I agree - why wasn't there an option to complain about children who won't get dressed, mess about at breakfast time and generally make task lasting 15 minutes take over an hour? Grin

Plus I also eat breakfast every day because I am starving. I'd like to say that it's because I'm so concerned about my health, but if it was, I'd not slather my toast in so much butter. Blush

nickeldonkeyonadustyroad · 10/12/2010 15:50

i've done it too - i laughed that there were options to say "does not exist/not relevant" for upto 7 children, but when they asked how many children you had, you couldn't choose "none".

probably not qualified to have done this survey...

lowrib · 11/12/2010 01:27

Done, but some questions were badly worded.

e.g. I don't eat breakfast because of any of the reasons given - it's not to do with my needs, if's to do with DS's. I never ate breakfast before becoming a mum, but I eat with DS every morning, because it's nice for him to eat with someone.

Also DP regularly does breakfast, but there was no option for this.

ANother one here who eats breakfast becazuse I am damn hungry when I wake up. Healthy or not, it's not a lifestyle choice. I'm just a gannet.

And yes, of all the things that make me stressed in the morning, coaxing children into the bath, out of the bath, to clean their teeth, properly, no do it again, because you didn't use toothpaste, get dressed, not on your head, in your own clothes, underpants aren't that funny, do you want mummy to get cross?... would be a winner.
