Like all good footie matches (but nowhere near as long, cold or full of overpaid wag-fodder) it's a survey in two halves...

The Tonight Programme on ITV have asked us to find out what parents think about some of the pressures children might face today. Plus we'd also - rather nosily - like to know what, if anything, you're giving up or taking up for New Year.

The survey is open to all Mumsnetters, won't take more than a couple of minutes to complete and everyone who takes part will be entered into a prize draw to win a fab and shiny Asus x52 laptop worth £650

You can take the survey here

Thanks and good luck, MNHQ.

Done, hope I win..

gorionine · 03/12/2010 08:00

Done

Hotcrossbunny, I like when people put "done" because it allows me to see the odds better. If ther are 10 pages of "done" I know that my chances of getting the desired laptop are slimmer than if there is just a couple of posts.

Carry on "doning" I sayGrin

Guacamohohohole · 03/12/2010 08:21

Thank you AnnMumsnet, well I never knew I lived in the South East! I've lived here almost 5 years!

Praline · 03/12/2010 10:50

To get completely out of debt, no credit cards, etc. That is all.

kveta · 03/12/2010 10:51

ooh, I always put I live in the south east, but now see I'm in the east of england! that's good to know!

I didn't post DONE yesterday but did the survey then Xmas Smile

fathercandle · 03/12/2010 11:01

What a shockingly badly worded, leading set of first questions. I feel a bit dirty that I'm contributing to some terrible "isn't life terrible these nowadays" headlines.

Still want the laptop tho'. :)

moonbells · 03/12/2010 11:18

I got to the submit part and it just sent me back to a previous page instead of the usual surveymonkey thankyou... Does this mean it's not accepted it and I need to do it again?

moonbells · 03/12/2010 11:38

OK tried it again, this time it threw me out to the MN homepage!

Anyone any idea what is going on?

PPF · 03/12/2010 15:16

I would like to spend more "me" time in the new year. If I am happy then I am more likely to be more patient and tamed with my little ones!

ksld · 03/12/2010 15:29

Thank you from me too AnnMumsnet, like Guacamohohohole I never knew which region I was in. Have apparently always gone for the wrong one too Blush

loonyrationalist · 03/12/2010 16:30

Done - hope you like my suggested resolutions :)

Earwicga - I happily made up resolutions for the rest of the list but could not bring myself to make up one for a fictional character either.

I'm another one who hates the where do you live question - the map Ann linked to didn't make it any clearer - I suppose as even royal mail are unsure at times (the postal town I am nearest to is in a different county; v v confusing for all it seems) I'll have to go with my best guess

EdgarAllenSnow · 03/12/2010 18:49

custardo - agreed - anging for an 'it wa' better in my day' kind of response.

EdgarAllenSnow · 03/12/2010 18:50

angling.

i need a new laptop!!!

GruesomeShellChillingTortoise · 03/12/2010 18:58

Done

LtEveDallas · 03/12/2010 20:15

Bugger me i'm south east and I thought I was south west. Learn something new every day!

morethanyoubargainfor · 03/12/2010 21:50

done here as well Grin.

Rannaldini · 03/12/2010 22:51

I've done it

TheNextMrsClaus · 04/12/2010 01:26

Couldn't think of any new year's resolutions for the celebs, though. Have trouble thinking of my own!

PlentyOfParsnips · 04/12/2010 10:06

done I think - was it supposed to send me to MN homepage at the end?

What graphics card does that lappy have? Anybody know?

Jux · 04/12/2010 12:51

I don't make New Year's resolutions. If there's something I want to change in my life then I'll set about doing so whenever; I'm not going to bugger about trying to think of something which is actually achievable at a particular time of year, just because a lot of other people are.

Likewise, I make no reference to NY resolutions to dd either. If she wants to give it a go because school's encouraging them, or she wants to, then I'll help her as much as I can, but I certainly wouldn't suggest she come up with something.

It's all nonsense. Bah, humbug Grin

toomuchmonthatendofthemoney · 05/12/2010 00:09

can you add that in now, Ann??? Grin
