We’re looking for Mumsnet users with children aged 4-12 to take part in a product test of LEGOLAND Discovery Centre Birmingham.

  • Selected testers will have to visit with their family on a day of their choice between 25 March and 14 April.
  • Testers will receive a code enabling them to book their free day passes for the family
  • You’ll be asked to test out the centre attractions and facilities such as the Kingdom Quest ride, MINILAND and the coffee shop
  • After the visit, testers will be asked to feed back on their experience via a thread on Mumsnet and a short survey.
  • All testers who leave their feedback will be entered into a prize draw to win a £100 voucher.

Here’s what LEGOLAND Discovery Centre has to say: “See everything that the Ultimate Indoor LEGO® Playground has to offer – with two awesome rides, a 4D cinema, build stations with new challenges every day, meet our Master Model Builder, explore MINILAND, climb high on our LEGO City soft play and much more! There’s something for the whole family at the LEGOLAND Discovery Centre.”

If you’re interested in applying for this product test, you’ll first need to sign up to our Mumsnet Insight panel by filling in this form by 12 March. We’ll then email you with more information on how to apply.

Thanks and good luck!

jennymac31 · 07/03/2023 01:54

We've signed up for this, as our kids have been interested in going to the LEGO Discovery centre but my husband's not been convinced. Hopefully this might make him change his mind!

Bemyclementine · 07/03/2023 06:49

Form filled in, is that all?

AutisticLegoLover · 07/03/2023 07:10

Also filled in the form but not sure I understand how that links to Legoland.

LibrariansGiveUsPower · 07/03/2023 09:04

GraceEMumsnet · 07/03/2023 10:45

That’s a huge amount of personal information you’re asking there for a trip to Legoland. I’d rather pay! I see how some of it might be relevant but a lot of it isn’t useful. My earnings, postcode all with my DOB and number of kids etc their ages. How do I know where this data is stored, what it’ll be used for? How safe is this data? Even asking our level of jobs etc

I didn’t fill in.

TheGirlWhoLived · 08/03/2023 15:14

Hey, I’m sure I was already a member of the insight panel, haven’t had a product test in a long while though! Is this a different thing or the same one? Either way I’d love to take part and have filled in the form indicated so hope I’ve done it all correctly!

GraceEMumsnet · 08/03/2023 17:07

Hi @NetballMumGrrr, product tests on Mumsnet are exclusive to those who are members of the Mumsnet Voices panel (or those who are Premium members). The information requested in this sign up form is required to become a member of the Voices panel, and not information explicitly needed for this product test (and not all of the information within the form is mandatory for membership).

Anyone who has signed up to the Voices panel will receive comms for this product test as well as relevant upcoming tests in the future (subject to their membership settings).

Also concerned about that collection of data- when will you delete it? Why dates of birth rather than ages of children? Very revealing information for passwords etc.

Crumbcatcher · 11/03/2023 07:04

Happy to give my own demographic info on income etc, it's the same thing you collect on surveys. But what is the purpose of giving my DC's dates of birth? I'm not going to provide that.

Whatamigoingtodopleasehelp · 11/03/2023 13:49

Yes please

Because they are looking for families with kids aged 4-12, calm down.

So providing DC's age should be enough. It's okay to question what personal data is used for!

Yes....with their date of birth?! They can't do much else with it!!
