Valspar has asked us to find 150 Mumsnet users to test Valspar Premium Blend v700™ Walls & Ceilings paint.

This product test is open to UK MNers who are homeowners and are available to paint their room and give feedback by the 22nd January 2021.

Selected testers will be sent a voucher for a 2.5L tin of Valspar Premium Blend v700™Walls & Ceilings, redeemable at B&Q. Testers will need to paint a room or wall in their home and share their feedback via a thread on Mumsnet as well as by completing a short survey. All selected testers who give the required feedback will be entered into a prize draw where one MNer will win a £100 voucher.

I can see why the promo copy says, paint a wall in your home, 2.5ltrs won’t be enough paint to paint a whole room surely? A feature wall perhaps.

I would love to try your whit matt finish paint as I am doing some decorating in jan 2021 I do hope I will be lucky as I have never tried your paint

Used valspar paint in the past. Within a year the paintwork had become discoloured and patchy as in its 'scrubability' meant the cream walls now had green spots and the steam from the kitchen pans also turned the cream paint green - awful stuff and money definately not well spent.

Valspar Premium Blend would need to be a vast improvement on its previous recipe to get my vote.

We've just done two coats (over an orange/red ) on the walls of this large, high ceilinged room and used less than 5l of a colour matched Valspar. We are really pleased with it - although we may need to get a different colour for the ceiling as the colour we had mixed was, I think, a bit too light. (Second picture gives an idea of the colour we were covering).

@JustineBMumsnet when are we likely to hear if we're successful in getting a voucher?

It's just that I want to start painting soon if I can. I need to do a mist coat over fresh plaster first but want an idea of whether or not to buy a top coat colour too

hi ive used valspar to decoratw my halls and love it so love to try some in my livung room for you

I am in the process of decorating and updating my whole house, it is 10 years since the paintbrush was last used. I have just succeeded in having a completely new bathroom installed, the previous one being 42 years old, it is now the turn of the rest of the house and help would be greatly appreciated.
