Valspar has asked us to find 150 Mumsnet users to test Valspar Premium Blend v700™ Walls & Ceilings paint.

This product test is open to UK MNers who are homeowners and are available to paint their room and give feedback by the 22nd January 2021.

Selected testers will be sent a voucher for a 2.5L tin of Valspar Premium Blend v700™Walls & Ceilings, redeemable at B&Q. Testers will need to paint a room or wall in their home and share their feedback via a thread on Mumsnet as well as by completing a short survey. All selected testers who give the required feedback will be entered into a prize draw where one MNer will win a £100 voucher.

Did anything ever come of this product test? I know they postponed because of Lockdown, but Non-Essential shops are open in England (I don't know about Scot/Wales/NI but they can't be far behind)

love to be considered our back porches have been scrapped back due to really old paint and cleaning up mildew so badly need painting throughout to freshen and livin it up thank you

Hi all, apologies for the lack of update on thread so far! As many of you have assumed, the product test is currently paused due to the escalated situation surrounding COVID and the national lockdown.

Once we're able to run the test again we'll be in touch with those of you who have signed up to see if you're still interested in taking part (without you needing to complete the sign up survey in full again!)

One of the key USPS of Valspar is its colour matching - and anyway, all their paints (even their own colour chip ones) are mixed to order. As far as I know, that can only fo that in-store - and DIY stores are shut (at least they are here in Scotland). Click & Collect is available - but you would only be able to supply pre-mixed paints

Mind you, there's always other rooms I can do!

If England is going to be going into lockdown, following Scotland (where it is to at least the end of January), I don't see how the testers could complete their decorating project by 22 January , especially as part of the Valspar USP is its colour matching which is very good

I suspect that the promotion/testing will have to wait
