This sounds great! We can do all the door handles, flushes and other places that get touched regularly. The kettle handle and so on. That would be really helpful to stop anything spreading around the house. Obviously CV is the current worry, but colds and tummy bugs need stopping too!

More wipes, more environmental damage.

Disposable wipes must be banned. Unless the manufacturer is supplying them to a private planet, not befouling this one. There is no need to pour poison in the well, which is the equivalent of disposable junk blocking our sewage treatment, fouling our rivers and sea, filling the oceans with everlasting particles.

Yes, and there are always idiots who flush them down the loo. Our drains got blocked with them - not our doing as we don't use disposable wipes at all - but we had to pay for the drain to be flushed.

Mothers, above all, should have more sense than buy polluting junk. Wait for manufacturers to stop making it? Wait for shops to stop selling it? Wait for governments to make a law banning it? What part of the words Climate Emergency don't people understand? Just do what you have the power to do, and if something isn't biodegradable, stop buying it.
At home, old cotton cloth makes rags which are better for cleaning than wipes, and can be used repeatedly and rinsed out. Away from home a roll of loo paper or kitchen roll, or some sheets torn off, provide wipes which are not difficult to make damp, with a little bottle of liquid.

Save money, save the planet. Save yourself from the future anger and contempt of your child, when they are old enough to be horrified.

Using non biodegradable disposable products of any kind is the equivalent of pouring drops of poison in the drinking well. You know it now. Your child will know it, soon. Did you really do that, mummy? How could you? What kind of person are you?
