We are looking for UK Mumsnetters with at least one child to test [[https://liquidnanoshop.com/liquidnano-steri-wipe-mumsnet/
LiquidNano's SteriWipes]], antibacterial wipes powered through nanotechnology leaving surfaces protected against 181 bacteria and viruses for 7 days from just one application.

Here’s what LiquidNano has to say: "LiquidNano is a smart coatings business with existing products for the mobile, marine, automotive and textile sectors.
^We are about to launch a new product called [[https://liquidnanoshop.com/liquidnano-steri-wipe-mumsnet/
SteriWipe]] which is aimed at protecting high touch household surfaces like: door handles, children's toys, mobiles, tablets, high chairs, game controllers, etc. Once a surface is protected with SteriWipe an invisible layer of LiquidNano is left on the surface which not only kills any existing pathogens but will continue to kill any new pathogens that come into contact with the surface for a further 7 days without the need to re apply.”^

Selected testers will receive 2 packs of SteriWipes to try at their homes for a week. The wipes are safe to use at home, to find out more about the ingredients or ways to use, please visit liquidnanoshop.com/liquidnano-steri-wipe-mumsnet/.

Following testing the wipes, selected testers will need to give their feedback via a thread on Mumsnet and complete a short survey.

All testers who give the required feedback will be entered into a prize draw where one MNer will win a £100 voucher for the store of their choice (from a list).

If you’re interested in taking part, please sign up here.

Thanks and good luck!

I've received mine as well with no email, I was pleased though as one of the kids is self isolating so I've been wiping everything down!

Ok I'm a plonk ! Just opened another one😂😂
Didn't notice first time you can unfold them. Still quite small.

Mine arrived this morning . They are tiny ! I've been wiping tablets , door handles , taps ( which I now see as potential virus carriers ) phones , and light switches.

Received trial packets today, but also wasn’t aware I’d been picked for testing. Very pleased though, despite DP trying to nick one before I’d even read any info!

Mothers, above all, should have more sense than buy polluting junk. Wait for manufacturers to stop making it? Wait for shops to stop selling it? Wait for governments to make a law banning it? What part of the words Climate Emergency don't people understand? Just do what you have the power to do, and if something isn't biodegradable, stop buying it.
At home, old cotton cloth makes rags which are better for cleaning than wipes, and can be used repeatedly and rinsed out. Away from home a roll of loo paper or kitchen roll, or some sheets torn off, provide wipes which are not difficult to make damp, with a little bottle of liquid.
Save money, save the planet. Save yourself from the future anger and contempt of your child, when they are old enough to be horrified.

Using non biodegradable disposable products of any kind is the equivalent of pouring drops of poison in the drinking well. You know it now. Your child will know it, soon. Did you really do that, mummy? How could you? What kind of person are you?

Report
WitchesSpelleas · 26/10/2020 16:29

Yes, and there are always idiots who flush them down the loo. Our drains got blocked with them - not our doing as we don't use disposable wipes at all - but we had to pay for the drain to be flushed. Sad
