Definitely. I've been meaning to do one for the last 5 years after having DD. Knowing that my wishes will be taken care of is a load off my mind.

DH and I had been thinking about doing a will for ages so this was an ideal test for us.

Our thoughts on the service were that overall it is a good product for those people wanting a simple will, we found it easy to use although a few improvements would help, for example we couldn't nominate a reserve executor for if the executor had died before the will came into force.

On the final will it uses the plural when even only one person mentioned.

We lost data when DH clicked a button which meant typing out everything again

We opted for a joint will, it took us through mine, then to the payment before DH was sent link for his, this wasn't clear on the site and we thought originally we had made a mistake.


Yes having a Will will help our peace of mind and hopefully if the worst happens would make it easier for our children .

It is somewhat reassuring to have the option to update, but doesn't seem much cheaper to updated as opposed to rewriting.

It seemed cheaper and swifter than going to a solicitor and was suitable for us as we didn't need any complex advice so for us it was a reasonable price.

Yes we would recommend to other people in similar circumstances to us.

I found it extremely easy. It only took me 10-15 mins to complete. It was really helpful to have pre-written content that I could personalise to make it relevant to myself and my family and saved me time as I did not have to think of wording.

Definitely, I did not have a will previously and with having two young children, it has given me great peace of mind knowing we have a will in place in case anything ever happened to myself or my partner.

It is very reassuring as you never know what may change in the future. I am engaged, so I when I marry I will have to update my surname on the will. It is also helpful if you have more children in the future, you can add them on to the will.

I think it’s great value as it is a very reasonable price considering the service you receive. If you go to a solicitor, you are looking at hundreds of pounds more for a will, which is not affordable for everyone.

Absolutely, I would recommend this will writing service to all my friends and family as it is so easy to do and comes at a reasonable price. I have already sent the “refer a friend” link to save £30 off my friend’s will.

Yes but I was a bit confused in the section on beneficiaries and on the guardian for minor dependents - why isn't an address required for the guardian, for example? I'm also not convinced Beyond will be around to execute wills in 40+ years. How will this work?

Yes, but not for complicated wills and I'd stress that you need to be able to sit and concentrate, which a solicitor's office may give you more readily than sitting on a sofa with a toddler bashing the keys (I get this is more because we had a limited time to set this trial will up and I work FT).

A. Yes. This is something I have been meaning to do since DS was born almost 2 years ago, but I've never really fully known what to do or who to go to, so this has really helped with peace of mind to know that he will be looked after if anything ever was to happen.

Yes it was very simple, it really could be done in 15 minutes if you had a straight forward will. I did need to use the option to ask questions to an adviser as I felt I had a few complications to check before I felt happy with the will. This was a vital piece of the service for me and I felt the advice I received was really helpful and put my mind at ease that the will was as good as if I had gone to a solicitor in person.

Yes I have been putting off doing a will for a year (or two)! Been able to sit down and do it in the evening meant it actually got done. I do feel genuine peace of mind that I have done it now.

Yes that is helpful - if things change I can easily change or amend the will online. Again I find the fact it is online is so much more convenient than getting to a solicitor.

Yes it is good value, cheaper than visiting a solicitor and much easier.

Yes I would, it feels like an easy and modern option to write your will and because you can do it online it helps to break the inertia of just never getting around to writing one even when everyone knows it is so important.

Yes, i think this is reassuring as and when changes need to be made, no need for making appointments and time off work etc to update.

It is a very similar price to other online services I have previously considered. A lot cheaper than going to a solicitor's office.

I am always reticent to recommend anything legal or financial to others. It seems like a simple, reasonably rapid service which would be good for busy families.

Yes, I could put as much or little information I needed, it was logical, flowed well, and all the information that would be needed in a will was stored in a concise method.

Yes, It is something I have always needed to do for my pensions etc - but now I have named and discussed guardians (should the worst happen) I know my children will be protected and cared for financially and emotionally.

very - if my wishes change, then because the will is concise it is extremely easy to add to and amend

its extremely good value compared with using a solicitor, though a DIY will service may be cheaper, but not as easy to use and amend going onwards.

Yes, and as me and my OH have children from previous marriages, it meant I could put everything in order, letting my executor know who should have what, and should look after our children (bearing in mind my OH does not have contact with his ex-wifes family for very good reason).

Yes, as long as our wishes would not be challenged - does the company have a quick read-through to ensure you wishes are legal and can withstand court challenge ?

Very really easy, I was impressed with the website and how the questions flowed in a logical order. I didn't have any trouble at all. I used the live chat function and found it helpful and the prompt response was good.

Getting a formal will in place has been on my to do list for several years, so having it all done properly now gives me peace of mind

Did you and your family find Beyond's online will writing service easy to use?

Initially yes it's straight forward to fill in your details etc. I found how the couples will is made confusing. I used the online chat who told me to get DH to create an account and fill his details in. We did that but when it came to merge them as we wanted to use the code for the free will we couldn't do it that way.

I had to buy a couples will with my code and then add DH's email address (had to use hfs work email as the email we entered for his initial account wouldn't work as there was already an account linked to that address). Then DH has to review the will and re-add all his info again. So that seemed a bit of a faff and not clear on how we should have gone about it at the start.

Yes we have a will now so reassured that DS will go to who we want him to if anything happened to us.

Yes definitely

It's cheaper than a solicitor so a good value option but it's a basic will and no options to outline trusts etc for DC but o guess this is reflected in the price

Yes, there are so many twists and turns in life, it's good to be able to update accordingly.
