Here’s what Balneum have to say: “At Balneum, we understand that an itch is never just an itch. Irritated skin can get in the way of everyday life, causing frustrations and ongoing itch-scratch cycles. It’s our mission to help you itch less and live more. Whether that’s spending more time with your loved ones, smashing your exercise routine, or enjoying a more social lifestyle, we’re here to help. We don’t just care for you, we care for your skin and scalp too.”

Testers please answer the following questions:

  • Overall how satisfied were you with the cream and shampoo?
  • What did you or your family member like about the cream and shampoo?
  • Did it improve yours or your family member’s skin and/or scalp?
  • Would you recommend the product(s) to others?

All testers who leave the required feedback will be entered into a prize draw where one MNer will win a £300 voucher of their choice (from a list).

Thanks and good luck!

Overall how satisfied were you with the cream and shampoo? I was very satisfied with both cream and shampoo. My daughter likes the shampoo and it appears to be helping her scalp. The cream was very soothing on my extremely dry skin.

  • What did you or your family member like about the cream and shampoo? My daughter liked the shampoo's richness and the fact that it is quite creamy, you don't need to use a lot. It does appear to be soothing her scalp. I liked the richness of the cream and how easily absorbed it is.
  • Did it improve yours or your family member’s skin and/or scalp? Yes to both. My daughter's dandruff appears to be improving and the cream is helping my dry skin.
  • Would you recommend the product(s) to others? Yes I would recommend both products.
Thank you for letting us try them both.

Have had an email to say I haven't left feedback yet, I have, and I can see my comment from 8/5 but posting again

Overall how satisfied were you with the cream and shampoo?

I am impressed with both the shampoo and cream. Very satisfied.

- What did you or your family member like about the cream and shampoo?

This shampoo is not greasy, and does not have a medicated shampoo smell. It does leave hair lovely and smooth and shiny.
The cream we have also found to be very good. It is not greasy, and absorbs very quickly.

- Did it improve yours or your family member’s skin and/or scalp?

The shampoo had an almost instant effect for all of us. Our scalps are much less itchy and flaky. Both DD would make scalp quite red when scratching, and this has improved, almost completely resolved.
The cream has made an improvement in our skin. I did find we did need to use twice daily.

- Would you recommend the product(s) to others?

I will definitely be continuing to buy these products, and have already been recommending both products!

I didn't like the shampoo. Not only did it really dry my hair out, the itch was intensified.
The cream was really good at keeping the moisture locked in and within a few days, the dry spots were visibly improved. As was the itching. The only thing I didn't like was the cream took some time to fully absorb into the skin. So I had to adjust morning routine

The cream did make a difference. The shampoo didn't.

I would recommend the cream. I wouldn't recommend the shampoo.

Nice size bottles to try out, the cream is great, smells a little off, but it works a dream for my husband who has urticaria (extremely bumpy skin when he itches), takes some rubbing in as it’s greasy but it’s stopped the itchiness within minutes. Also made my hands softer but no more than my normal hand cream.
The shampoo however not so good, has made sons hair drier even with conditioner, it has helped the dry scalp but son doesn’t like how his hair feels now so am just going to use it once a week with normal shampoo in between to see if it helps, shame really as could see an improvement with the dryness. Would I recommend this product- yes to the cream, even with the weird smell n slightly greasy texture as it works! But no to the shampoo.

Jellycat81 I had email too but I left a review on 24/4 so not sure why unless it was because I'd not written it in the answers to questions format.

TESTER!

  • Overall how satisfied were you with the cream and shampoo?
Very!! The shampoo does work well, and actually left my hair clean, which I almost didn't expect it to. The cream has honestly SAVED my sanity recently, as my eczema has been waking me up at night with insane itchiness....but using the cream at night stops the itching within minutes and I am able to go back to sleep.
  • What did you or your family member like about the cream and shampoo?
It was obviously good quality, no scent, and it worked.
  • Did it improve yours or your family member’s skin and/or scalp?
Yes, my hand eczema improved dramatically. And my scalp feels relieved.
  • Would you recommend the product(s) to others?
Yes! I thought they were absolutely fantastic and would buy again, and also recommend to others.

All the family struggle with dry itchy skin. Me on my scalp at the no, my partner his scalp, face and knees. My son on his whole body.
The shampoo made no discernible difference to either my partner or me. However, I started a new psoriasis treatment partway through from the go so maybe it wasn't a completely fair trial.
The cream was actuAlly very painful for my partner, it made his skin bright red and inflamed and looked very sore. For this reason I didn't want to try on my son.
Overall I wasn't satisfied and would not recommend it. There are other products easily available that I would recommend much more.
If I have to find a positive I'd say it had a good texture and no offensive smell .
Thanks for the opportunity to try it out although it didn't help us everyone is different!

I just want to add a small comment. I do like the cream bottle/dispenser but have realised that it's hard to know how much is left! Would be good to have a small window at the side.

  • Overall how satisfied were you with the cream and shampoo?

Reasonably so. The shampoo I thought was quite good. The cream, while nice didn't help me much.

  • What did you or your family member like about the cream and shampoo?

Shampoo made a difference to my scalp, it was nice to use and gave a good lather. The cream felt moisturizing but didn't do much for itching for me.

  • Did it improve yours or your family member’s skin and/or scalp?

Yes- scalp is less flakey.

  • Would you recommend the product(s) to others?

Probably, they both seem nice products. I don't know if the cream would work better for others but I would maybe suggest they tried it.

Coffeechick · 17/05/2018 22:28

I was satisfied with the cream and shampoo. They made my daughters hair and scalp feel less itchy.
When she applied the cream regularly they did stop the itchiness for a while but with eczema it does come back. With prolonged use it will be interesting to see if the itchiness is abated. Her scalp felt better and she itched it less
I would recommend both products

witherwings · 19/05/2018 22:26
  • Overall how satisfied were you with the cream and shampoo?
I'm very satisfied with the shampoo, it makes my hair feel soft and can be used without conditioner unlike other shampoos for itchy scalp. It has improved my dry scalp. My daughters scalp is better but still have to use the steroid solution for bad days. The cream has a very mild but odd scent but doesn't longer. It makes my skin really soft and is not too greasy. It helps my dry skin and is especially good after shaving my legs. It hasn't really helped my daughters eczema though. I would recommend the product although it is a pricier product than I would normally choose.
