Overall how satisfied were you with the cream and shampoo?
Not very. It didn't stop the itching. The cream cooled down the itching on the skin but only relieved for a matter of seconds.

What did you or your family member like about the cream and shampoo?
The cream was really smooth and absorbed very well without leaving any stickiness. The shampoo made my hair lovely and soft, no need to use a separate conditioner.

Did it improve yours or your family member's skin and/or scalp?
No. Didn't relieve itchy skin or scalp. Although initially I thought the shampoo was reducing the dandruff, I have since noticed that rather than having lots of small pieces, I now have lots of larger pieces so much more obvious.

Would you recommend the product(s) to others?
Probably not. Although I thought the cream was great as a general moisturiser, I wouldn't recommend for itchiness.

Cataline · 06/05/2018 10:26

I have very dry skin and an itch flaky scalp due to psoriasis.

The shampoo seems to calm the itch down and get rid of a lot of the flakes which is brilliant. I did need to use it with my regular conditioner as it left my hair a bit dry. Bonus that it didn't smell at all medicated though!

The cream is brilliant. I used it for a week, applying it after a shower and found it immediately made a difference to my skin. The smell wasn't great- probably due to the urea content? But it wasn't offensive and I often used a light scented moisturiser on top if I wanted to smell better!
Grin

It sunk in quickly and didn't feel greasy. I was able to dress almost straight away which is a big plus.

The cream also worked brilliantly on my dry feet in readiness for sandal season.

I went for a spray tan after using the cream for a week and explained that I had really dry skin to the beautician. She said that I really didn't have dry skin at all and that my skin was in great condition- I attribute that to the Balneum!

I then went on holiday for a week and didn't take the cream with me. By the time I got back my skin was desperately itchy and dry (I don't react well to sun) and the Balneum was excellent at soothing the itch and improving the condition of my skin.

I'm now nearing the end of the bottle and would definitely buy it again so hopefully it'll be readily available!

Thanks for choosing me to be a tester!

Overall i was very satisfied with both the cream and the shampoo. I am very glad that I was selected to test these products and will definitely be purchasing them myself when my current ones run out!

The shampoo has stopped my head itching and I've not had any flakes since using it. I'm also happy with the skin cream, I normally get itchy legs for a few days after shaving but when using this I've not had any itchiness!!

Both my skin and scalp has improved since using these products.

I would definitely recommend both the cream and shampoo, I've already recommended the cream to my mum.

  • Overall how satisfied were you with the cream and shampoo?

The cream not satisfied and the shampoo satisfied.

  • What did you or your family member like about the cream and shampoo?

I liked that the shampoo actually foamed up and didn't have a horrible smell.

  • Did it improve yours or your family member’s skin and/or scalp?

DD appeared to be allergic to the cream hence why we were not satisfied.

  • Would you recommend the product(s) to others?

I would the shampoo not the cream. It's quite pricey though.

  • Overall how satisfied were you with the cream and shampoo?
Both easy to apply and use. It really helped my daughters eczema at the beach today. Pleased with both
  • What did you or your family member like about the cream and shampoo? Cream soothing and the shampoo smelt nice.
  • Did it improve yours or your family member’s skin and/or scalp? Yes to both
  • Would you recommend the product(s) to others?
Yes
GinGeum · 06/05/2018 19:04

Overall how satisfied were you with the cream and shampoo?

We loved the cream, but we were less impressed with the shampoo.

What did you or your family member like about the cream and shampoo?

The cream managed to sooth itchy skin really quickly, and was much longer lasting so it truly was only needed twice a day rather than sporadically throughout the day as with other creams.
The shampoo was fine, but we didn’t particularly notice a huge difference in itchy scalp, and the smell was quite off putting.

Did it improve yours or your family member’s skin and/or scalp?

Our dry skin has most definitely improved. DP’s legs can sometimes get red raw from itching especially in the warmer weather, but heavy hardly had itchy legs at all since using the cream.
We didn’t notice a difference in our scalps however.

Would you recommend the product(s) to others?

Yes, we would recommend the cream.

shuggas · 06/05/2018 20:30
  • Overall how satisfied were you with the cream and shampoo?

Very very satisfied with the cream! It works wonders and really is soothing! It removes the itch and my skin and dcs skin looks a lot better! So really really happy!

  • What did you or your family member like about the cream and shampoo?

The cream works absolutely wonderful, and better than some creams we had through the gp! Skin looks better and feels better!

The shampoo has been good for DD, she still has some red patches on her scalp, but dandruff is practically gone. Her hair is super soft afterwards.

On me though I felt it left my hair dry for some reason, I had to use a heavy conditioner as it went very dry and dizzy so it didn't suit my hair type which was a shame

  • Did it improve yours or your family member’s skin and/or scalp?

Scalp for DD still has some red patches but not major at all and I don't see her itching so it's getting better! DD also liked the smell a lot!

All our skin looks so much better, the cream is a winner for us!

  • Would you recommend the product(s) to others?

Definitely the cream! So happy with it! The shampoo is a tad expensive I feel but it's doing good for DD, and it isn't a good for my hair type so disappointing for me. Would probably recommend the shampoo for children though Smile

littleme96 · 06/05/2018 21:19
  • Overall how satisfied were you with the cream and shampoo?

We really liked the shampoo, although think it would be better at a slightly cheaper price point. The cream was okay, but didn't completely clear up my daughter's very dry skin.

  • What did you or your family member like about the cream and shampoo?

Both products were gentle and neither caused any itchy or other ill effects. The shampoo made our hair beautifully soft and shiny and really helped dry scalps. The cream was soothing and quickly absorbed.

  • Did it improve yours or your family member’s skin and/or scalp?

Yes, a definite improvement on my daughter's dry scalp from the shampoo. Not so much for the cream though.

  • Would you recommend the product(s) to others?

I would recommend the shampoo and probably the cream for mild cases of dry skin/eczema.

IKnowWhenThatHotlineBling · 06/05/2018 23:12
  • Overall how satisfied were you with the cream and shampoo?

I really liked both the products. The shampoo was gentle on my scalp which is something i really need as it reacts to everything normally but it cleansed my hair without irritating it and the cream was lovely. It soaked in my skin well and left it super moisturised.

  • What did you or your family member like about the cream and shampoo?

I liked that the shampoo didn't irritate my hair, it calmed my scalp and the cream left our skin feeling moisturised.

  • Did it improve yours or your family member’s skin and/or scalp?

The cream improved our skin yes. The shampoo didnt make my hair and scalp perfect but to be honest, nothing ever does. The main thing is it didnt irritate it!

  • Would you recommend the product(s) to others?

I would definitely recommend the shampoo to someone who is having scalp issues and the cream to someone suffering with dry, eczema type skin.

pannikin · 06/05/2018 23:26

- Overall how satisfied were you with the cream and shampoo?
I really liked the cream, I would give the cream 10/10. It helped my skin a lot, and immediately soothed the itchiness when the skin started flaring (as it does randomly). Not too keen on the shampoo as I don't feel like it did much for my hair, but DH said it helped his itchy scalp so he would score it highly.

- What did you or your family member like about the cream and shampoo?
I liked the pump on the cream, as it made it easy to apply and I don't think it's as messy as a screw top lid. It was also handy to keep on my desk to use at work. I think the cream smelt nice and it seemed to work almost immediately on my eczema and itchy/dry patches. It certainly left my face feeling moisturised, although not as much as I'd hoped so I still had to reach for my usual moisturiser. The shampoo smelt nice.

- Did it improve yours or your family member’s skin and/or scalp?
Yes, it certainly helped with my eczema and kept Dc's dry patches at bay when used. DH says the shampoo worked well for his itchy scalp.

  • Would you recommend the product(s) to others?
Yes I would, and I have already told my colleague about the shampoo.
Ladylucky99 · 07/05/2018 07:18

Overall I thought both products were excellent. The cream worked wonders for me and the shampoo isn’t like other medicated shampoo, it doesn’t have an awful smell and leaves the hair soft and manageable . I would definitely pay £9.99

Gooseysgirl · 07/05/2018 08:35
  • Overall how satisfied were you with the cream and shampoo?
I was quite satisfied! My son and I have been using the cream with no adverse reactions. I didn't really notice a smell any different to other similar creams. Myself, DH and DS all used the shampoo and liked it.
  • What did you or your family member like about the cream and shampoo?
The shampoo was easy to use and lathered well. I liked the condition of my hair after using the shampoo, it was nice and shiny! The pump for the cream was good and our skin felt very soft after use.
  • Did it improve yours or your family member’s skin and/or scalp?
The cream improved my son's skin, I would say my own skin showed a slight improvement. We all definitely have an improvement to our scalps, less flakiness but I'm still experiencing itchy scalp.
  • Would you recommend the product(s) to others?
Yes I would, but just checked the prices and they are very expensive!!This winds me up no end... it is not specific to Balneum - other similar creams are very expensive eg Eucerin. Being a dry skin/eczema sufferer does not come cheap 😒 I currently get emollient for my son on prescription - interested to see if GP will prescribe the Balneum for him.

Posted without actually answering the questions 😂 Right, try again!

  • Overall how satisfied were you with the cream and shampoo?

I LOVED the shampoo. Really gentle and cleaning brilliantly. My scalp was soothed after using it and left my hair feeling lovely. I like the cream, but I have psoriasis and it did sting quite a lot! Very moisturising though.

  • What did you or your family member like about the cream and shampoo?

I liked that they were unscented, so didn’t interfere with my usual perfume. And they relieved itching which was fabulous.

  • Did it improve yours or your family
member’s skin and/or scalp?

They’re never going to cure psoriasis, but they do keep the flakiness under control which is perfect.

  • Would you recommend the product(s) to others?

Yes I definitely would.

ohfourfoxache · 07/05/2018 19:21
  • Overall how satisfied were you with the cream and shampoo?

Extremely satisfied with the shampoo - it was genuinely brilliant. Cream was very very good and I am very satisfied, but not quite as much as with the shampoo

  • What did you or your family member like about the cream and shampoo?

It doesn’t smell medicated and it actually works

  • Did it improve yours or your family member’s skin and/or scalp?

Scalp - without a doubt. It started soothing before I’d even finished the first shampoo.

Cream improved so much that I eventually only had to use it every couple of days (reduced from multiple times a day)

  • Would you recommend the product(s) to others?

Yes, I would definitely recommend as something that will work. However it is a bit pricey for long term regular use

Baldwin1973 · 07/05/2018 20:12

I was very pleased with both the cream and the shampoo. The shampoo smelt a bit medicinal though - I don't know if its possible to give it a better fragrance - it slightly puts me off buying it.

I liked the packaging of both the cream and the shampoo. The shampoo was easy to use and made my hair feel quite nice - it certainly did the job in soothing my scalp and reducing the itchy I sometimes get. The cream was lovely and thick and very soothing.

The cream has been brilliant at reducing some of the dryness I've had over the past few years. It feels very luxurious but doesn't smell too amazing which is a shame. My scalp feels a lot less itchy as do my legs.

I would certainly recommend this product to others. Thank you

starlight36 · 07/05/2018 20:44

The cream and shampoo both look a bit medicinal and the smell and look of both probably reflects that. However they were both effective and helped the itchiness and dryness we were suffering from.
We liked how the cream was quick and easy to use and how it rubbed in easily. The shampoo doesn't lather particularly but we live in a hard water so that isn't unusual for other shampoos we use.
The cream and shampoo both helped with dryness and itchiness. My five year old son said the cream stung and cried when we used it in him. He did have quite sore scratch marks so the broken skin was probably the issue.
We would definitely recommend the cream and shampoo to others. The price isn't cheap but both products have lasted well as you don't need much of them.
Thank you to Mumsnet and Balneum for introducing us to tiger products.

  • Overall how satisfied were you with the cream and shampoo?
Very satisfied! me and my partner have both been using the cream and the shampoo and it has really helped our skin and scalps :)
  • What did you or your family member like about the cream and shampoo?
I liked that it actually worked. I have used similar brands before but they always stunk and didn't have as dramatic an effect.
  • Did it improve yours or your family member’s skin and/or scalp?
My partner's psoriasis from his scalp is almost completely gone and my skin has been the softest it has ever been. My skin has been prone to flareups in the past but one has not emerged since using this.
  • Would you recommend the product(s) to others?
Definitely!! Over the moon :)
mincepiesareyum · 07/05/2018 21:59

Overall we are very impressed with the shampoo and the cream. Our whole family have been using both and although the cream didn’t seem to help my sons itchy skin very much, (equally it didn’t aggravate it) the rest of us definitely saw an improvement. We all liked the results of the cream, our skin was less dry and itchy. The shampoo has been a hit with us all. It makes my daughters hair particularly shiny. I would happily recommend these products to anyone suffering with itchy skin.

Decoratingsucks · 08/05/2018 09:13

I finally got around to using the shampoo a few times. It’s ok but not moisturising enough for my coloured hair. I also worry that it might strip the colour.

jellycat81 · 08/05/2018 09:52

I am impressed with both the shampoo and cream. I have used them on myself and my 2 DDs. We all suffer with sensitive itchy skin, and have really struggled to find a shampoo that calms the itchiness. I have found in the past medicated type shampoos have not helped. This shampoo is not greasy, and does not have a medicated shampoo smell. It had an almost instant effect for all of us. Our scalps are much less itchy and flaky. Both DD would make skin quite red when scratching, and this has improved, almost completely resolved. It does leave hair lovely and smooth and shiny. I will definitely be continuing to use this product.
The cream we have also found to be very good. It is not greasy, and absorbs very quickly. We all have eczema, and have found it very soothing to itchy skin. With regular, repeated use (twice daily application) we have seen an improvement in our skin.

I will definitely be continuing to buy these products, and have already been recommending both products!

Caillou · 08/05/2018 10:33
  • Overall how satisfied were you with the cream and shampoo?

I definitely am satisfied with the cream, a bit less with the shampoo.

  • What did you or your family member like about the cream and shampoo?

We liked the pump of the cream and how soft our hair got using the shampoo.

  • Did it improve yours or your family member’s skin and/or scalp?

It did improve the dryness of our skin for sure, the shampoo improved the scalp of all our family members apart from me, while the itchiness has gone and my hair is softer, I have had quite a few spots appearing in my scalp.

  • Would you recommend the product(s) to others?

I would definitely recommend the cream

Orangesox · 08/05/2018 11:16
  • Overall how satisfied were you with the cream and shampoo?

Cream - Quite Satisfied. I was overall reasonably pleased with the cream. It had a nice consistency, and I found the pump bottle a lot easier to use than other similar products. The smell of the cream (possibly the urea content) was a little off putting, but nothing to worry about in the grand scheme of things; my husband however flat out refused to use it after the first go stating that it "stank".

Shampoo - Quite Dissatisfied. I really wanted to love this shampoo, and i persevered for quite some time. The shampoo and I ultimately did not get on, and it didn't work for me. Shampoos are very subjective however, and I would still recommend it as a shampoo to try for someone experiencing scalp problems.

  • What did you or your family member like about the cream and shampoo?

Cream - It was fairly soothing to my eczema prone skin, and helped keep my skin nice and supple throughout the trial period, I was particularly impressed with its efficacy around my ankles and heels which are usually a mess after a winters worth of shoes and socks, but with the balneum they were greatly improved. In all other areas, the product performed as well as any other emollient I've tried for my eczema.

Shampoo - No medicated smell. That's about it.

  • Did it improve yours or your family member’s skin and/or scalp?

Cream - as previously mentioned, it improved the condition of my dry and cracked skin to my ankles and heels. All other areas it didn't exactly improve it, but it did keep it as well moisturised as other emollients that I usually use. I still consider this a win!

Shampoo - It ultimately made my scalp worse, increased flaking and scaly patches, and made my colour treated hair very dry. No amount of conditioner could improve the texture issues, and I found my hair very fly away/ static prone.

  • Would you recommend the product(s) to others?

Cream and Shampoo - Yes I would recommend them to others. Emollients and Shampoos for skin conditions are very subjective, and I would still recommend them to friends or acquaintances to try; I would be open and honest about my own experiences, but ultimately the products have worked for many others, and that in itself means that they should be considered .

HowsAnnie25 · 08/05/2018 11:29

Overall how satisfied were you with the cream and shampoo?

I am very satisfied. I am particularly impressed with the shampoo as my scalp is feeling a lot better. It is a very good shampoo too and cleanses my hair really nicely. We haven't used the cream as much as my daughter hasn't had a flare up recently.

  • What did you or your family member like about the cream and shampoo?
I liked that they weren't really scented. I loved the consistency of both the products. They are both easy to use and apply. I really like the pump dispenser of the cream.
  • Did it improve yours or your family member’s skin and/or scalp?
Yes the shampoo has really improved my scalp, and my son's. The cream leaves our skin soft and moisturised however I haven't been able to test its efficacy so much as my daughter's skin has been benefiting from the sunshine.
  • Would you recommend the product(s) to others?
Yes I would
duggerlugs · 08/05/2018 13:09

Overall how satisfied were you with the cream and shampoo?

I felt the cream was better than shampoo. Cream made a significant difference to my dry legs and also helped my father in law with his itchy legs. I felt the shampoo needed to be used with lots of conditioner after so maybe my hair didn't need it.

  • What did you or your family member like about the cream and shampoo?

Easy to dispense on both counts. Smell was fine and inoffensive.

  • Did it improve yours or your family member’s skin and/or scalp? Yes improved skin. No scalp difference seen.
  • Would you recommend the product(s) to others?

Would recommend the cream to others
