The testing team at Clearblue have asked us to help find some of you to help develop their products. They're looking for women aged 18-40 who are trying to conceive to take part in a clinical study lasting approximately 2 months.

If you're interested in taking part, please find more information and contact Clearblue here.

All who take part and complete the testing cycles will receive a £100 voucher from Clearblue.

Please note: this project is run entirely by Clearblue and is outside of Mumsnet control. Conditions apply.

Thanks and good luck

It doesn't specify on the site what kind of voucher, just says £100 voucher. Is that £100 to spend on Clear Blue products?

TeddyIsaHe · 13/02/2018 12:38

Christmas it’s a Love2Shop voucher I believe.

ChristmasEnthusiast · 13/02/2018 15:05

Thanks Teddy!

I’m in the study now too. Aged 29, ttc2 and on cycle 6 of trying. I’m on 10dpo now so I have to email them if I get my period. Hopefully I won’t, but it will at least make next month more interesting if so!!

emelsie · 14/02/2018 15:20

How long did everyone wait to hear back? Either way, declined or accepted? Thanks! X

Redrosebelle · 14/02/2018 16:22

I got the email with consent forms in a few days. I sent the consent this morning and they phoned me a few hours later.

emelsie · 14/02/2018 16:32

thanks!

I'm in and doing the one where you do test. Is it the massive pot i send off with my wee in on the second day (for morning wee)? And I do a pregnancy test and send off too even though it's cd 11 for me at the mo so I'm 100% sure I'm not pregnant. My toddler mixed up the envelope of stuff so I'm not sure which pot goes with which envelope! Thanks

seven201 · 17/02/2018 10:34

Please ignore my question about how to collect the wee. I've found time to have a proper look through the info pack and there's actually a massive section about how to do it and it's really clear!

Ginge12 · 22/02/2018 20:06

I got the control group

Redrosebelle · 22/02/2018 21:20

I got the monitor! It looked complicated but is actually really simple. According to it I need to start testing on Saturday which is cd7

Ginge12 · 23/02/2018 18:59

I thought the same with the control haha lots of instructions! I've sent my pregnancy test and urine off and just have to dtd as normal. Hoping I win a baby 🙊🙊

Geegeegirl · 27/02/2018 14:18

I have just applied. Fingers crossed. Would definitely make next month interesting if I am accepted.

WazFlimFlam · 28/02/2018 13:31

Ginge I'm in the control and I am going to make a point in the interview at the end about the ridiculously complicated nature of the instructions they sent for essentially

  1. Pissing in a bottle
  2. Pissing on a stick
  3. Sending it back
Ginge12 · 28/02/2018 20:13

@WazFlimFlam totally agree hahaha! Far too many instructions for pissing in a bottle!

HeavenInTheBottomOfMyGinBottle · 02/03/2018 12:57

I've just been accepted on to the trial, does anybody know what the packaging is like that comes in the post? Mine is being posted to my work place due to it not fitting through a normal letter box.

Hopefully it's discreet. Our office receptionist is a bit of a nosy gossip! Halo

peaches1991 · 02/03/2018 14:40

@heaven I asked them this because mine's being delivered to work as well (I work in a school). They said it will be unmarked packaging.

bakingdemon · 02/03/2018 14:51

@HeavenInTheBottomOfMyGinBottle

It's a largish white envelope with 'private and confidential' stamped on it in red, so not hugely discreet....

I was chosen and only just TTC. They'll need to have a range of ages/stages etc for the trial so it may well be that they've just filled up some of those faster.

Redrosebelle · 02/03/2018 17:18

It doesn’t say Clearblue on the envelope though it says the name of the company doing the research. I’m loving using my monitor and app on my phone - I hit peak fertility today which was so good to see. Fingers crossed it works!!

WazFlimFlam · 02/03/2018 22:44

It was just a gigantic envelope with private and confidential stamped on it. You wouldn't guess what it was anyway.

HeavenInTheBottomOfMyGinBottle · 03/03/2018 19:44

Thanks everyone, I didn't think they would plaster clear blue all over the envelope but you never know.

Really hoping I get put on the ovulation testing arm of the survey. It looks like a really good app from the Feedback from other countries.

PassTheAfterEights · 07/03/2018 12:06

Notwithstanding dire warnings re not mentioning on MN if one were assigned to the control group and returned the initial test-start negative HPT and sample as requested, when would they expect to hear further instructions from Clearblue?

ttctet · 08/03/2018 08:30

Pass you just wait for the app to tell you when to start testing for ovulation I think. I don’t think I received any more instructions via email until this week when I’m due my period!

PassTheAfterEights · 08/03/2018 09:19

Thanks @ttctet that's reassuring - I don't have the app as am in the control arm not the testing arm (boo) so not using the product either; just saw that they'd tell me when to do another hpt. About a week away from doing one anyway! But will wait to hear. Smile

ttctet · 08/03/2018 13:40

Ah sorry Pass! The whole control arm thing is confusing me, can’t they say ‘non testers’?! Grin

They have asked me to test for pregnancy a few days after my period would be due, so don’t panic if you don’t get further instructions until very close to your period.
