We have been asked by the team at Soltan to find 250 MNers with at least one child aged under 10 to try Soltan Kids Once Water Play SPF50+ Lotion 200ml and to then share feedback on Mumsnet!

The Soltan product provided is hypoallergenic but is not designed specifically for those with sensitive skin. Please don’t apply if you would normally buy a sensitive sun protection product for your child.

Due to the variable British weather we’re ideally looking for families who are on holiday in August and who are able to share feedback when they’re back!

Soltan say: "Soltan Kids Once is the only extended wear sun protection range designed especially for kids delicate skin. This product offers up to 6 hours sun protection and 3 hours water resistance, meaning it’s perfect for sunny days out, days by the pool or on the beach”

More info on the product here

Selected testers will be sent Soltan Kids Once Water Play SPF50+ Lotion 200ml to try. In return we will aksk you to share feedback on a thread on Mumsnet as well as by completing a short survey.

We will send out the samples early August and ask you to try them and then share feedback by the end of August/ very start of September. Please only apply if you’re around then and able to share feedback.

Everyone who takes part and who shares feedback as required will be entered into a prize draw where one person will win a £300 voucher for the store of their choice (from a list).

If you’d like to take part, add your details here

Thanks and good luck!

Looks like the answer to our suncream applying prayers!

I filled this in and only mentioned our British trip. We are also away in Spain in August. 😀

@Signoritawhocansway thank you for flagging that up, that was just a typing error in the form. It has been corrected now and won't affect anyone who has already signed up.

MoanaofMotunui · 28/07/2017 17:18

Thank you for the chance! This looks fantastic for keeping little ones safe in the sun for longer... especially when it can be such a drama having to reapply sun screen every few hours!!

NotMrsTumble · 28/07/2017 19:44

Shame this wasn't in time for the Scottish school holidays, we have just over 2 weeks left and everyone here has already been away and been back at least a week. Hmm would have been great for my blue skinned weegie weans Grin

AuntieStella · 29/07/2017 06:40

My DC are too old for this, but I wouldn't have asked to test it even if they were.

Once a day applications are not particularly safe - the SFP protects you for the multiple of the time it would take you to burn. Not period 'up to' set by the manufacturer (always strikes me as a bit of weasel wording).

Also, reapplication is needed to deal with movement,, sweat, chafing, rubbing etc.

They've dropped totally out of favour in places which are ahead of us in sunscreen tech and protocols for use (eg Australia) so I'm disappointed to see it here.

Factor 50 'once' won't keep your DC safe for any longer than any factor 50 cream. Because if what factor 50 actually means.

And possibly might even be safe for less time, as it might mean you rely on the label and decide not to reapply, rather than lookingta the circumstances.

Yes please. My son is in and out of water!

beachbodyunready · 29/07/2017 11:57

This cream is amazing I used it on our last holiday, coupled with a sun protection suit it really gives you peace of mind. Agree that it does need to be reapplied but 3 hours of water protection is by far the best on the market.

InvisibleKittenAttack · 29/07/2017 16:25

Done - although not convinced by "once a day" creams.

Loopyjoes · 29/07/2017 17:28

All done!!!

helterskelter99 · 29/07/2017 20:52

It's brilliant means that you don't get the angst if they are in the water too long

Doublemint · 30/07/2017 14:57

Done!

LotisBlue · 30/07/2017 15:03

Done, we're not going abroad this summer but my kids are fair enough to need factor 50 in the UK. Fingers crossed!

TheTurnOfTheScrew · 30/07/2017 15:08

We're off abroad in a couple of weeks, and would be very happy to test this, as we get through industrial quantities of factor 50 most years.
