The testing team at Clearblue have asked us to find around 250 of you to help develop their products - they are looking for women aged between 18 to 45 years old, who are trying to become pregnant, to take part in a clinical study lasting between four to six weeks.

More info and a link to sign up here.

Moreover, take part, complete the testing cycle and Clearblue will send you £50!

Note: this project is entirely run by Clearblue and is outside of MN control. Conditions apply.

Thanks and good luck

It could be, Blue. I made my mum a nan at 44 so if she'd been TTC at 45 I would've been surprised Wink

Rubberduckies · 09/07/2017 21:54

26, no problems, iPhone. It does seem to be the phone that's the issue - why on earth don't they say that at the beginning!?

ScarletSienna · 09/07/2017 22:06

Thanks, Ann. If possible, please could you feedback that:

  1. it would be better for them to flip the survey so that personal info (specific address and phone number) is only given once accepted and
  2. they give an indication at the beginning what they're looking for to save people's time from being wasted

Thanks Smile

It does seem poor form to not state what the eligibility criteria are upfront.

Anyway, I clicked on the thread by accident, not TTCing so definitely not eligible. As you were Wink

HoneyEater · 09/07/2017 23:19

What happens to the data of hose where are rejected? Since you know we have provided personal details such as address.

Why not make the fertility questions first up, rather than personal details - capture the personal details for the selected people only?

BertieBotts · 10/07/2017 08:15

It's also only open to UK residents.

ImADingleDangleScarecrow · 10/07/2017 09:31

I'm not eligible either. U.K. Resident, 39, no PCOS or meds and have an iPhone.

I'd like to think that they will now delete my personal details that I provided but they didn't state this.

AnnMumsnet · 10/07/2017 10:14

The team at Clearblue say "apologies if you applied and didn't get through the selection. Please be assured if you didn't get selected for the study none of your personal data will be retained by us. We will pass on the feedback about the survey form and wording to the relevant department here. Thanks to those who have applied."

danigrace · 10/07/2017 10:31

I took part in this last year, I do have PCOS and had been ttc for over a year. I did get pg on the trial, mostly coincidental/good timing as the trial happened to be during the second month I ovulated since ttc after a long years hard work in making ovulation actually happen.

The team were good and I've not had any related unsolicited calls/emails/mail during or since.

catlover1987 · 10/07/2017 10:45

Probably a scam to get our personal details and sell them. Disappointing.

Mammabear31 · 10/07/2017 12:50

Have had an email today asking to sign a consent form, then someone will contact me asking further questions.

Easilyflattered · 12/07/2017 15:06

Have signed my consent form, been interviewed on phone, now recruited, it's not a scam.

Timpani · 12/07/2017 15:36

I've returned mine now too. No phone call yet. How soon did they phone you @easilyflattered?

cookielove · 12/07/2017 15:54

I was not eligible but got an email anyway Confused

Easilyflattered · 12/07/2017 16:13

They probably got my consent form on Monday, and phoned me Weds.

cookielove · 25/07/2017 16:51

OK so it said I wasn't eligible but got an email anyway, sent off the consent form ( a bit late) and have been accepted onto the trial! Very odd

Timpani · 25/07/2017 17:38

There has been an issue I think.
I got told to start when I received my pack but then got told to hold off until I had heard more.

myusernamewhichisthis · 25/07/2017 17:44

ive signed up. whats it entail? anyone? im using the cb opk.

Mumtomadhouse · 01/08/2017 17:05

I got accepted received all the items last Saturday currently testing.

Triskaidekaphilia · 01/08/2017 22:54

I'm a bit confused; I filled it out and it didn't say I wasn't accepted, but I didn't see anything to say I'd be contacted either? I got a screen asking me to sign up to surveymonkey, I didn't as I already have an account, so just closed the page. Maybe I somehow skipped past it?

tisha934 · 04/08/2017 16:15

i'm 28 and i try to get pregnant for 3 years but to kate for this study :(

Marie1276 · 11/08/2017 02:05

Got email that I've been accepted, got consent form to sign and to send back, been interviewed on the phone after. Then got email confirming my kit will be delivered soon :)
It's not a scam for the ones who are thinking so :)

SchnitzelVonCrummsTum · 12/08/2017 17:39

I'm on the trial - anyone else in the process of testing? I just got 'high' fertility on CD8 (!) and as I usually ovulate on CD14 / 15 wondering whether it can go back to low after moving to high or whether I'm set to receive the next week of high readings :) Using them alongside internet cheapy OPKs and charting (to confirm ov) so curious as to which of the pee sticks will pinpoint the dates most closely...
