This thread is for the 100 Mumsnetters who have been trying out the new Skin Therapy Oil - Rosehip from Palmer's.
Here's what Palmer's say about the oil: "Our new Skin Therapy Oil with Rosehip fragrance is non-greasy, non-staining and preservative-free. This light-weight 'dry' oil is ideal for daily moisturisation of the body and face and helps improve the appearance of scars, stretch marks, dry and damaged skin and uneven skin tone. Blended with carefully selected botanical oils such as Rosehip, Sesame and Canola Oils together with pure Cocoa Butter and Vitamin E, Skin Therapy Oil is an all in one skincare solution."

~ Which areas of your body did you use the Skin Therapy Oil?

I used it on my knees (very dry skin), stomach (stretch marks), chest (dry-ish skin) and face (but only once)

~ How easy or difficult did you find applying the oil? How did it fit into your daily routine?

I found it easy to apply after a shower at night but found that it was a bit of a faff to apply 3 times a day, as recommended because I had to take my top off to let it dry. Although it didn't take long, it was a little inconvenient.

~ Did the Skin Therapy Oil absorb easily or not? How did it leave your skin feeling?

Yes, it absorbed fairly easily and I noticed a difference to the softness of the skin on my chest and stomach but not my knees.

~ How did you find the smell/fragrance of the oil?

I didn't really like the smell, to be honest. I expected it to be perhaps a little sweeter (think the fact that it was rosehip made me think that it should smell like my English Rose Yankee Candle!).

~ Did you notice any difference in the appearance or feel of your skin after using the oil at all? If so, please say what you noticed.

I didn't notice a difference in appearance but, as above, the skin on my chest and stomach was noticably softer.

~ What's the best thing about the Skin Therapy Oil? Is there anything that you don't like about it?

I liked the pump action top, it gave out a dose which was enough to cover fair amount of skin but not too much. I think the thing I didn't like (and it's maybe not important) was the packaging. The box looked like the bottle would be bigger, but when I opened it, the box was half empty with the box built up so that the bottle wouldn't wobble.

~ How does the Palmer's Skin Therapy Oil compare to the moisturiser or moisturising oil product you were using before (if you were using one)?

It has definitely made a difference to the skin on my chest, where I'd previously tried various creams and moisturisers which didn't really make much of a difference.

~ Do you think you'd be likely to continue using it on a regular basis or not? If so, why? If not why not?

Yes, I think I will continue to use it but only once a day.

~ If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Palmer's Skin Therapy Oil to a friend/relative? If so why? If not, why not?

I'd recommend it for dry skin but not for the appearance of stretch marks, as I didn't notice a difference.

Thank you for letting me participate in this trial, I really enjoyed it.

~ Which areas of your body did you use the Skin Therapy Oil?

My face and stomach

~ How easy or difficult did you find applying the oil? How did it fit into your daily routine?

It was easy in the morning and evening, but not in the middle of the day so tend to only do it twice a day.

~ Did the Skin Therapy Oil absorb easily or not? How did it leave your skin feeling?

Easily absorbed and left my skin soft, not greasy.

~ How did you find the smell/fragrance of the oil?

It was OK prefer the original cocoa butter.

~ Did you notice any difference in the appearance or feel of your skin after using the oil at all? If so, please say what you noticed.

It was softer and my face didn't look so dull.

~ What's the best thing about the Skin Therapy Oil? Is there anything that you don't like about it?

Quick and easy to apply, but three times a day isn't possible.

~ How does the Palmer's Skin Therapy Oil compare to the moisturiser or moisturising oil product you were using before (if you were using one)?

Wasn't using one.

~ Do you think you'd be likely to continue using it on a regular basis or not? If so, why? If not why not?

Probably as I like the way it brightens up the skin on my face.

~ If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Palmer's Skin Therapy Oil to a friend/relative? If so why? If not, why not?

Yes I found it better than bio oil which is the one most people know about.

Thanks for selecting me I enjoyed testing the oil :-)

Which areas of your body did you use the Skin Therapy Oil?
My stomach/stretch marks, and legs.

How easy or difficult did you find applying the oil? How did it fit into your daily routine?
Easy to apply, the pump bottle is great as it's much better/less messy than bio oil which ends up going everywhere.

Did the Skin Therapy Oil absorb easily or not? How did it leave your skin feeling?
If you don't use too much, massage it in and then wait a few minutes before getting dressed it soaks in fine (this is similar to other oils I've tried). It left my skin lovely and soft.

How did you find the smell/fragrance of the oil?
I like it a lot, it's a nice smell but not overbearing.

Did you notice any difference in the appearance or feel of your skin after using the oil at all? If so, please say what you noticed.
My stomach and thighs are definitely softer/smoother. Not such a difference on my calves so maybe it is better on "fleshy" bits? My stretch marks do look a little better but i'll need to keep using it for longer to really tell.

What's the best thing about the Skin Therapy Oil? Is there anything that you don't like about it?
The size of the bottle. As a little goes a long way it's nice not to have another giant bottle cluttering up the bathroom.

How does the Palmer's Skin Therapy Oil compare to the moisturiser or moisturising oil product you were using before (if you were using one)?
I prefer the smell and packaging to bio oil which i was using before.

Do you think you'd be likely to continue using it on a regular basis or not? If so, why? If not why not?
Yes I will. I like the product/bottle/price so will keep using it on my tummy. If I have any more children I'd definitely use it on my bump! I also think it'll be handy to have in the bathoom for dry skin in winter (elbows/knees etc).

If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Palmer's Skin Therapy Oil to a friend/relative? If so why? If not, why not?
Yes I would as I like it.

~ Which areas of your body did you use the Skin Therapy Oil?
My face - only in the evening (problematic skin, seems oily but gets very dry and irritated easily), post pregnancy belly (DS is now 7mo, lots of stretch marks), arms (very dry skin, looks as if it was covered in little spots), feet
~ How easy or difficult did you find applying the oil? How did it fit into your daily routine?
Very easy to apply, I liked the dispenser. Fit into my daily routine well, I am very used to using a lot of different products due to constant trouble with my skin
~ Did the Skin Therapy Oil absorb easily or not? How did it leave your skin feeling?
It absorbs very easily, skin felt really nice and soft.
~ How did you find the smell/fragrance of the oil?
Very nice smell, doesn't smell of just oil (which I usually find quite unpleasant) but the fragrance is not too strong. I could still use my normal perfume without having to worry that I would be wearing too many fragrances
~ Did you notice any difference in the appearance or feel of your skin after using the oil at all? If so, please say what you noticed.
The oil worked very well on my face, I only used it overnight (didn't want to risk it during the day as I wear make up every day and don't think it would be a good base for it). I very often get patches of dry red skin, almost feeling sore. This has certainly improved now. The same with my upper arms - skin feels really nice and soft. I didn't notice any difference with stretch marks but they really are quite bad so I think only a miracle would help here.
~ What's the best thing about the Skin Therapy Oil? Is there anything that you don't like about it?
It absorbs really quickly, doesn't cause any irritation and leaves skin nice and soft. There really isn't anything that I wouldn't like.
~ How does the Palmer's Skin Therapy Oil compare to the moisturiser or moisturising oil product you were using before (if you were using one)?
It seems to be very good value for money and I like the fact that it worked well both on my face and body (and I wouldn't normally use the same product for both).
~ Do you think you'd be likely to continue using it on a regular basis or not? If so, why? If not why not?
Yes, especially that OH has been stealing it too almost every day for his patches of dry red skin (GP puts it down to stress, no diagnosis yet) and he says it worked great for him too
~ If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Palmer's Skin Therapy Oil to a friend/relative? If so why? If not, why not?
I would, for all of the above reasons. It seems like a product that can be used for a lot of skin problems and good value for money.

~ Which areas of your body did you use the Skin Therapy Oil?
Stretchmarked stomach and sides from DS 3yo and DD 1yo
~ How easy or difficult did you find applying the oil? How did it fit into your daily routine?
Very easy, I like the pump top. I used it after a shower. I didn't use it on the mornings I was running late as it needs at least some drying time.
The directions say to use it 3 times a day. I have nowhere near enough free time for that!
~ Did the Skin Therapy Oil absorb easily or not? How did it leave your skin feeling?
Yes, it absorbed well. I wouldn't dress immediately but it only needed a couple of minutes. It left my skin feeling soft and well moisturised.
~ How did you find the smell/fragrance of the oil?
Very nice. Nicer than Bio-Oil.
~ Did you notice any difference in the appearance or feel of your skin after using the oil at all? If so, please say what you noticed.
Yes, it feels smoother and less wrinkly. I have no illusions that it'll rid me of stretchmarks, but it made the skin feel slightly tighter.
~ What's the best thing about the Skin Therapy Oil? Is there anything that you don't like about it?
It absorbs really well. Oils really put me off when they just seem to go on forever, so it was good to be able to rub the remainder across my arms and into my hands and still be able to pick the lid up!
~ How does the Palmer's Skin Therapy Oil compare to the moisturiser or moisturising oil product you were using before (if you were using one)?
I have used Bio-Oil before and I prefer the Palmer's Oil. Much nicer to apply. I have also used a cocoa body butter which I prefer the smell and application of but the oil has better results.
~ Do you think you'd be likely to continue using it on a regular basis or not? If so, why? If not why not?
Yes, I will continue to use it and consider buying more to replace it.
~ If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Palmer's Skin Therapy Oil to a friend/relative? If so why? If not, why not?
Yes, I have a newly pregnant friend and will recommend this for her expanding tum. I may even get her some as a gift!

I used the oil all over even on my feet! I found it a very effective moisturiser very lightweight and not greasy at all .It was very easy to apply and sank in without leaving marks on clothing . The oil smelt initially inoffensive but synthetic and by the end of the test I didn't actually like the smell all that much .My skin looked nice and felt very soft and smooth .The best thing about the oil is the lightweight texture I dont really have stretchmarks but it seemed to have a nice effect on my skin .It was more moisturising and had a nicer consistency than my usual Champneys dry oil it seemed better absorbed. In future I would be more likely to use something like the Elemis oil products which smell really amazing and natural or Red Fox tub o butter which is cheap enough to use liberally. The bottle is quite small to apply all over . I am not sure I would recommend it to anyone and I wouldn't buy it again purely on the basis of the overly artificial smell .

~ Which areas of your body did you use the Skin Therapy Oil?  I used the oil on my stomach and breasts and also on my children's foreheads where they have scars

~ How easy or difficult did you find applying the oil? Very easy.

How did it fit into your daily routine? Easily every morning

~ Did the Skin Therapy Oil absorb easily or not? Yes and left skin feeling silky

How did it leave your skin feeling? Soft, nourished and silky smooth

~ How did you find the smell/fragrance of the oil? Really nice as I can't stand strong cocoa butter scent

~ Did you notice any difference in the appearance or feel of your skin after using the oil at all? If so, please say what you noticed. I noticed my skin looked even in tone and texture and my girls scars looked slightly less obvious

~ What's the best thing about the Skin Therapy Oil? Is there anything that you don't like about it? I liked the texture of the oil and the scent and increasing its absorbed

~ How does the Palmer's Skin Therapy Oil compare to the moisturiser or moisturising oil product you were using before (if you were using one)? I still moisturised as well as using the oil, though I probably didn't need to

~ Do you think you'd be likely to continue using it on a regular basis or not? If so, why? If not why not? I think how often I would use the product would depend on price, I would be likely to quick with normal moisturiser if the oil is very expensive. I do really like the product though

~ If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Palmer's Skin Therapy Oil to a friend/relative? If so why? If not, why not? I would recommend the oil to a friend because I liked the smell and the product overall. The only thing that would prevent me from recommending it is if it were too expensive.

I have really enjoyed taking part in this trial - thanks to all involved.

~ Which areas of your body did you use the Skin Therapy Oil?

I have used it mainly on my bump (27 weeks now) but also on my upper arms, thighs and hands.

~ How easy or difficult did you find applying the oil? How did it fit into your daily routine?

Very easy. The way the bottle dispenser works is great, you can squirt out as much as you need without having to tip a bottle and get too much out at once! I have been using the oil morning and night, and because it doesn't stain clothing, I can get dressed straight away. This means that I have been able to use it before work, which was tricky before.

~ Did the Skin Therapy Oil absorb easily or not? How did it leave your skin feeling?

It absorbed very quickly, it is nice and light. It left my skin feeling soft.

~ How did you find the smell/fragrance of the oil?

I really like the smell. I will miss it when my bottle runs out!

~ Did you notice any difference in the appearance or feel of your skin after using the oil at all? If so, please say what you noticed.

I had already got the dreaded stretch marks on my belly when I started the trial, so I can't comment on those really, as they are still in the process of growing! However, I was getting a lot of itching on my bump and thighs, this oil has stopped that, at least for now. I am very grateful for that! My skin definitely feels softer since using the oil.

~ What's the best thing about the Skin Therapy Oil? Is there anything that you don't like about it?

I really like the smell. I also like how easy it is to dispense.

~ How does the Palmer's Skin Therapy Oil compare to the moisturiser or moisturising oil product you were using before (if you were using one)?

I was using Bio Oil. I like that too, but find the bottle less easy to use that this, often wasting product if I tip out too much. I thought this oil smelled nicer than Bio Oil as well. It certainly is absorbed faster.

~ Do you think you'd be likely to continue using it on a regular basis or not? If so, why? If not why not?

I think I am very likely to continue using it, especially if it is cheaper than Bio Oil, which as mentioned, I end up wasting quite a bit of!

~ If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Palmer's Skin Therapy Oil to a friend/relative? If so why? If not, why not?

Definitely would recommend.

~ Which areas of your body did you use the Skin Therapy Oil?
I used it on my chest and shoulders and on my face occasionally.

~ How easy or difficult did you find applying the oil? How did it fit into your daily routine?
Easy. I did it morning and night. Applying the oil was easy - slightly greasy - but less so than similar products I've used.

~ Did the Skin Therapy Oil absorb easily or not? How did it leave your skin feeling?
It absorbed very easily - but I did wait a few mins before dressing. My skin felt soft and lightly fragranced. I loved the slight sheen the oil left on my skin.

~ How did you find the smell/fragrance of the oil?
I thought it was ok - nice and subtle - I wear perfume everyday and I don't like products I use to flight against that - and this didn't.

~ Did you notice any difference in the appearance or feel of your skin after using the oil at all? If so, please say what you noticed.
My skin looks glow-y. The oil left a subtle sheen which makes skin look so healthy. I haven't noticed any real change in the texture of my skin but I will continue to use it as i like the product.
I also used it on my face a few times (was away and had forgot my face moisturiser) Usually using oil / any new product brings me out in spots - but this didn't which was great. I will continue to use it occasionally on my face.

~ What's the best thing about the Skin Therapy Oil? Is there anything that you don't like about it?
I like the healthy glow it leaves on my skin. The bottle is too small though - I would prefer a bigger bottle if I was buying it.

~ How does the Palmer's Skin Therapy Oil compare to the moisturiser or moisturising oil product you were using before (if you were using one)?
It is good. I moisturise everyday and I like that its easily absorbed. I like the subtle smell and I liked the look of it on my skin. I prefer it to Bio Oil and to the Dove intensive moisturiser I was using previously.

~ Do you think you'd be likely to continue using it on a regular basis or not? If so, why? If not why not?
I would like to keep using it. I don't have any brand loyalty when it comes to body moisturisers - I often get them as gifts or opt for what's new or on offer. I think I would buy this again... especially to apply to exposed skin - eg. to my legs when wearing skirts - as I love the way it adds a sheen that disguises any imperfections. It makes skin look naturally healthy.

~ If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Palmer's Skin Therapy Oil to a friend/relative? If so why? If not, why not?
I would - I prefered it to Bio Oil - so I would reccommend it if someone was thinking of trying that.

~ Which areas of your body did you use the Skin Therapy Oil?
Tummy and hips

~ How easy or difficult did you find applying the oil? How did it fit into your daily routine?

Easy to apply, really like the spray bottle much easier to use than pour out oils. Sometimes I remembered it in the morning after shower others I forgot and use it later before bed.

~ Did the Skin Therapy Oil absorb easily or not? How did it leave your skin feeling?
Yes it did and it left skin feeling soft

~ How did you find the smell/fragrance of the oil?
Hmm, not sure sometimes I did, other times not so much so I'm firmly fence sitting. DH said it smelt a bit 'old lady' though!

~ Did you notice any difference in the appearance or feel of your skin after using the oil at all? If so, please say what you noticed.
Not sure maybe a bit softer

~ What's the best thing about the Skin Therapy Oil? Is there anything that you don't like about it?
Easy to use is the best thing, maybe change the smell a little bit

~ How does the Palmer's Skin Therapy Oil compare to the moisturiser or moisturising oil product you were using before (if you were using one)?
I wasn't using one regularly but I do like this one

~ Do you think you'd be likely to continue using it on a regular basis or not? If so, why? If not why not?
Probably not regular but if I feel the need for a moisturiser over winter I will defiantly consider this one

~ If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Palmer's Skin Therapy Oil to a friend/relative? If so why? If not, why not?
Yes I would

~ Which areas of your body did you use the Skin Therapy Oil?
My C-section scar, a raised scar on my leg, and my face.

~ How easy or difficult did you find applying the oil? How did it fit into your daily routine?
Very easy - it wasn't greasy and I used it after a shower instead of my usual moisturiser.

~ Did the Skin Therapy Oil absorb easily or not? How did it leave your skin feeling?
Yes, I was surprised how easily it absorbed as I thought it would be very greasy - it wasn't. My skin felt soft afterwards.

~ How did you find the smell/fragrance of the oil?
I liked it, but I like floral smells.

~ Did you notice any difference in the appearance or feel of your skin after using the oil at all? If so, please say what you noticed.
My skin was softer, but I haven't noticed any improvements in the appearance of my scars.

~ What's the best thing about the Skin Therapy Oil? Is there anything that you don't like about it?
It's a lovely light moisturiser with a nice smell, but I think the claims that it will improve the appearance of scars are a bit exaggerated.

~ How does the Palmer's Skin Therapy Oil compare to the moisturiser or moisturising oil product you were using before (if you were using one)?
It leaves my skin feeling similarly soft, but is easier to absorb. It's less greasy than bio-oil, which I like.

~ Do you think you'd be likely to continue using it on a regular basis or not? If so, why? If not why not?
Yes, as it's nice and light and I like the fragrance.

~ If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Palmer's Skin Therapy Oil to a friend/relative? If so why? If not, why not?
I'd recommend it if they wanted to try a new moisturiser, but I wouldn't specifically recommend it as a product that will improve the appearance of scars.

~ Which areas of your body did you use the Skin Therapy Oil?
I used it from neck to ankles.

~ How easy or difficult did you find applying the oil? How did it fit into your daily routine?
I found it easy enough to apply, although I'm not particularly a fan of pump-action bottles as I like to apply things liberally. It was easy to fit into my routine, as I am already in the habit of using lotions, creams and oils after every shower and bath.

~ Did the Skin Therapy Oil absorb easily or not? How did it leave your skin feeling?
Well, it did and it didn't. It seemed a bit like a dry oil to me in that it "disappeared" very quickly. I realise this is a selling point for many customers, but my preference is for "oilier" oils that I can really spend some time massaging in. I like the velvety, nourished feel that I get from traditional oils, and by comparison this felt a little lighter than I'd like.

~ How did you find the smell/fragrance of the oil?
Mild and pleasant, but unexceptional. Inoffensive. Dissipated quickly.

~ Did you notice any difference in the appearance or feel of your skin after using the oil at all? If so, please say what you noticed.
I'm afraid I didn't, really.

~ What's the best thing about the Skin Therapy Oil? Is there anything that you don't like about it?
I used some in my bath and really liked how it softened the water. I don't like the fact that it contains Isopropyl Myristate and Dimethicone, or the fact that the actual rosehip oil for which it is named appears near the bottom of the quantitative ingredients list. I know that rosehip is expensive and this is a relatively inexpensive product, but I would be much more likely to buy this product and use it on my face if it had a higher % of natural oils and did not contain the synthetic "smoothing" additives mentioned above.

~ How does the Palmer's Skin Therapy Oil compare to the moisturiser or moisturising oil product you were using before (if you were using one)?
On the whole, I prefer my usual products.

~ Do you think you'd be likely to continue using it on a regular basis or not? If so, why? If not why not?
I wouldn't, because I feel that pure oils and oil-rich, silicate-free creams are better for my skin. I might use it as a bath oil.

~ If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Palmer's Skin Therapy Oil to a friend/relative? If so why? If not, why not?
Yes, I might, actually, because I am aware that many people prefer the "non-greasy" feel that this product provides; it does have the advantage of being quick and easy to apply, and would be better than no product at all. It is reasonably-priced and multi-use. It's not right for me, but would be perfect for many other people.

~ What's the best thing about the Skin Therapy Oil? Is there anything that you don't like about it? Best thing was the speed of absorption. Packaging was bad, I had to throw the cap away as it was a choke hazard for my toddler*
~ How does the Palmer's Skin Therapy Oil compare to the moisturiser or moisturising oil product you were using before (if you were using one)? better fragrance than bio-oil, and didnt leave me so shiny
~ Do you think you'd be likely to continue using it on a regular basis or not? If so, why? If not why not? yes, I liked it. I am afraid of the red stretch marks returning when I stop too!
~ If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Palmer's Skin Therapy Oil to a friend/relative? If so why? If not, why not? yes, I already have in a conversation about stretch marks

~ Which areas of your body did you use the Skin Therapy Oil?
My tummy and dry areas-knees and elbows.
~ How easy or difficult did you find applying the oil? How did it fit into your daily routine?
It was very easy to apply, love the pump bottle. I just used instead of moisturiser so it was easy to fit in after bath/shower.
~ Did the Skin Therapy Oil absorb easily or not? How did it leave your skin feeling?
It was lovely, non greasy and absorbed quickly. I felt I could get dressed shortly after applying which made life easier!
~ How did you find the smell/fragrance of the oil?
~ Did you notice any difference in the appearance or feel of your skin after using the oil at all? If so, please say what you noticed.
My skin certainly felt softer and my stretch marks did appear to fade but I cannot say if that's the oil or time. They don't feel as bumpy as they did before.
~ What's the best thing about the Skin Therapy Oil? Is there anything that you don't like about it?
I love the smell and the consistency.
~ How does the Palmer's Skin Therapy Oil compare to the moisturiser or moisturising oil product you were using before (if you were using one)?
I much prefer the smell of the palmers oil. I was using another body oil which was rather expensive, messy to apply and left everywhere greasy. The palmers oil was easy to apply but also easy to wash off my hands so there was no greasy fringe issue.
~ Do you think you'd be likely to continue using it on a regular basis or not? If so, why? If not why not?
I would certainly continue to use due to the feel of my skin and the ease of application.
~ If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Palmer's Skin Therapy Oil to a friend/relative? If so why? If not, why not?
Yes I would recommend. It smells better than a lot of oils and left my skin soft and smoother feeling.

~ Which areas of your body did you use the Skin Therapy Oil?
On the lower half of my face where I have acne scars
~ How easy or difficult did you find applying the oil? How did it fit into your daily routine?
I feel that more of a spray nozzle (like a small bottle of perfume might be better, this tended to slip off my hand. I used it before bed.
~ Did the Skin Therapy Oil absorb easily or not? How did it leave your skin feeling?
It took a while to absorb but I really liked the feel of it
~ How did you find the smell/fragrance of the oil?
I really liked the smell, very different and natural
~ Did you notice any difference in the appearance or feel of your skin after using the oil at all? If so, please say what you noticed.
I'll be honest - not really. My skin looked a tiny bit smoother maybe. Nothing else different.
~ What's the best thing about the Skin Therapy Oil? Is there anything that you don't like about it?
The best thing is the smell.
~ How does the Palmer's Skin Therapy Oil compare to the moisturiser or moisturising oil product you were using before (if you were using one)?
It's different to moisturing lotion, maybe easier to apply.
~ Do you think you'd be likely to continue using it on a regular basis or not? If so, why? If not why not?
I will def carry on with this bottle but probably wouldn't buy it again.
~ If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Palmer's Skin Therapy Oil to a friend/relative? If so why? If not, why not?
I would mention it as something to try for those with stretchmarks.

~ Which areas of your body did you use the Skin Therapy Oil?
On my face, tummy and hips

~ How easy or difficult did you find applying the oil? How did it fit into your daily routine?
Easy to apply and no trouble to fit it into my daily routine

~ Did the Skin Therapy Oil absorb easily or not? How did it leave your skin feeling?
I didn't expect it to, but it did absorb quite easily. It left my skin feeling nourished and soothed.

~ How did you find the smell/fragrance of the oil?
I liked the fragrance but personally would have liked it to smell even more of rose or Rosehip!

~ Did you notice any difference in the appearance or feel of your skin after using the oil at all? If so, please say what you noticed.
Facial skin looked great after using (but pregnancy hormones have improved my skin recently anyway). Both facial skin and tummy felt lovely and smooth.

~ What's the best thing about the Skin Therapy Oil? Is there anything that you don't like about it?
I like that it's versatile and I can use it in body and face - I normally use Palmers Moisturising Oil on my body and in the bath, and I probably wouldn't use that on my face. The Rosehip Oil seems a bit more refined/suitable for facial use. Also, it absorbs well and doesn't leave a greasy film.

~ How does the Palmer's Skin Therapy Oil compare to the moisturiser or moisturising oil product you were using before (if you were using one)?
I think it's as good as the Palmers Moisturising Oil for body, and will continue to use it on my face, although not every day - I'll alternate it with Neal's Yard Rose Facial Oil (which is a different class, to be honest, and Green People or Organic Surge Night Moisturiser.

~ Do you think you'd be likely to continue using it on a regular basis or not? If so, why? If not why not?
Yep I'll definitly keep using it but not exclusively, only because it's a blended oil and doesn't contain as much pure Rosehip/rose oil as my Neal's Yard one. I'll stick with the Palmer's Moisturising Body Oil for all-over and in the bath, as it's better value. The Rosehip will be useful for taking on hols as it's smaller and more versatile (also bottle less likely to leak).

~ If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Palmer's Skin Therapy Oil to a friend/relative? If so why? If not, why not?
Yes I would, along with their normal Moisturising Oil.

Forgot to say that I was disappointed that Rosehip was actually so low down the list of ingredients!

~ Which areas of your body did you use the Skin Therapy Oil?

bump, boobs, hips and arm (old scar).

~ How easy or difficult did you find applying the oil? How did it fit into your daily routine?

quite easy, and i applied it morning, night and whenever my bump felt tight and stretched. i had to use generous amounts to apply adequately though.

~ Did the Skin Therapy Oil absorb easily or not? How did it leave your skin feeling?

i was surprised how quickly it absorbed, it has that advantage over bio-oil, which sits on the skin for a while. It feels quite soothing once absorbed into my stretched bump. i took it on holiday to spain and found it doubles as a good aftersun oil (although i wasnt burned).

~ How did you find the smell/fragrance of the oil?

i love the smell of it, although it would be better on sensitive skin if the fragrance was from natural sources rather than parfum. i found it abit irritating on dry skin such as dry eczema, dispite moisturising it.

~ Did you notice any difference in the appearance or feel of your skin after using the oil at all? If so, please say what you noticed.

its taking longer to develop new stretch marks so far (fingers crossed). my old ones are abit less pink, more pale/white, which improves the look. i didnt see any change in my scar, however it is a few years old so i didnt expect much anyway.

~ What's the best thing about the Skin Therapy Oil? Is there anything that you don't like about it?

it would have to be the quick absorption and smell of it that was best. i think the bottle was rather small and it got used up quickly- because it absorbs quicker i had to use more generous amounts each time. Im also not clear on just how much rosehip is used in it.

~ How does the Palmer's Skin Therapy Oil compare to the moisturiser or moisturising oil product you were using before (if you were using one)?
its less greasy, absorbs quicker and smells much better than bio oil. feels better on bump.

~ Do you think you'd be likely to continue using it on a regular basis or not? If so, why? If not why not?

i think i would, to see what the long term effects would be, and because it feels more lightweight on my skin.

~ If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Palmer's Skin Therapy Oil to a friend/relative? If so why? If not, why not?

i would if we were discussing oils, as i think although it could do with a couple tweaks (bigger bottle, less parfum...) it is a more pleasant alternative to other oils, such as baby oil and bio oil.

I think Imay well buy a bottle. I definitely liked it and as I have sensitive skin and this product didn;t ignite a reaction then I would like to try it on a regular basis.

On my arms, I have stretch marks at the top
How easy or difficult did you find applying the oil? How did it fit into your daily routine? I don't have much of a daily routine! I found application really easy and mess free.
Did the Skin Therapy Oil absorb easily or not? How did it leave your skin feeling? I found that it didn't disappear completely but the oil left behind wasn't greasy or off putting at all.
How did you find the smell/fragrance of the oil?
Fine, it wasn't too strong and didn't interfere with my usual perfume
Did you notice any difference in the appearance or feel of your skin after using the oil at all? If so, please say what you noticed.
I noticed no difference in appearance but my skin felt lovely and smooth. What's the best thing about the Skin Therapy Oil? Is there anything that you don't like about it? I like the dispenser for ease of use. How does the Palmer's Skin Therapy Oil compare to the moisturiser or moisturising oil product you were using before (if you were using one)?

~ Which areas of your body did you use the Skin Therapy Oil?
My lower arms and elbows, lower legs (where I have a lot of stretch marks) and upper chest.

~ How easy or difficult did you find applying the oil? How did it fit into your daily routine?

It fitted in quite nicely because it wasn't greasy and dried immediately. I really liked the dispenser bottle but it did splatter a bit. I think a longer "beak" on the nozzle would have helped a bit with this.

~ Did the Skin Therapy Oil absorb easily or not? How did it leave your skin feeling?

It absorbed really easy and was not greasy or sticky at all which I was really impressed with.

~ How did you find the smell/fragrance of the oil?

The smell was unusual but pleasant, a sort of really low key combination of cocoa and rose. I'd have personally preferred it without the rose.

~ Did you notice any difference in the appearance or feel of your skin after using the oil at all? If so, please say what you noticed.

Yes my skin looked really healthy and although I'm quite pale had a glow to it that I'd normally associate with tanned skin. My skin looked healthy and the stretch marks on the back of my calves, which are seven years old, seem to look a little less prominent.

~ What's the best thing about the Skin Therapy Oil? Is there anything that you don't like about it?

I like the results. I didn't apply it three times a day as instructed by the packaging but if I read the packaging in the shop and saw that I was supposed to apply it two to three times I'd think that was a bit of a drag and would put it back! Who has the time to moisturise three times a day?!

~ How does the Palmer's Skin Therapy Oil compare to the moisturiser or moisturising oil product you were using before (if you were using one)?

I was using bio oil and johnson's baby oil. I loved the Palmer's because it didn't make my eczema flare up at all unlike bio oil which really irritates my eczema and it didn't have that heavy claggy feeling of bio oil or the grim smell. I also thought the results were better. But, I would like to be able to apply it straight out of the shower like baby oil and then get dry as that is far more convenient.

~ Do you think you'd be likely to continue using it on a regular basis or not? If so, why? If not why not?

I think it would depend on the price to be fair. If it was as expensive as bio oil then no I wouldn't buy it but if it was cheaper, or on offer, I probably would.

~ If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Palmer's Skin Therapy Oil to a friend/relative? If so why? If not, why not?

Yes, because it works and it doesn't have the downsides of bio oil.

~ Which areas of your body did you use the Skin Therapy Oil?
Bump (20 weeks pregnant) and chest. Occasionally face.
~ How easy or difficult did you find applying the oil? How did it fit into your daily routine?
Very easy to apply, I did it after a shower or bath.
~ Did the Skin Therapy Oil absorb easily or not? How did it leave your skin feeling?
It mostly absorbed well but did leave my skin feeling greasy for a few hours. Especially on my décolletage. I used the oil sparingly.
~ How did you find the smell/fragrance of the oil?
Absolutely gorgeous.
~ Did you notice any difference in the appearance or feel of your skin after using the oil at all? If so, please say what you noticed.
My skin felt less tight, more comfortable and less dry. It did feel greasy though.
~ What's the best thing about the Skin Therapy Oil? Is there anything that you don't like about it?
I love the smell of it.
~ How does the Palmer's Skin Therapy Oil compare to the moisturiser or moisturising oil product you were using before (if you were using one)?
Compared to Bio oil it feels and smells more luxurious.
~ Do you think you'd be likely to continue using it on a regular basis or not? If so, why? If not why not?
Yes, I would on my bump as it already feels uncomfortably tight and this relieves it. This is my 2nd pregnancy and I have no stretch marks so far but feel this oil would help prevent any from appearing.
~ If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Palmer's Skin Therapy Oil to a friend/relative? If so why? If not, why not?
Yes, if they like the smell of roses!
