This thread is for the 100 Mumsnetters who have been trying out the new Skin Therapy Oil - Rosehip from Palmer's.

~ Which areas of your body did you use the Skin Therapy Oil?
A scar on my chest and my cheeks.
~ How easy or difficult did you find applying the oil? How did it fit into your daily routine?
I found it easy enough at night as I could just slap it on and go to bed, in the morning i was very conscious of looking shiny.
~ Did the Skin Therapy Oil absorb easily or not? How did it leave your skin feeling?
It did absorb but I found I felt a bit greasy. Made my skin soft.
~ How did you find the smell/fragrance of the oil?
Fragrance was good, nice and subtle
~ Did you notice any difference in the appearance or feel of your skin after using the oil at all? If so, please say what you noticed.
I came out in lots of little spots (not sure if it was a rash? or blocked pores) on my chest. No difference on my face.
~ What's the best thing about the Skin Therapy Oil? Is there anything that you don't like about it?
It's easy to apply and the pump is good. Not sure about it blocking pores.
~ How does the Palmer's Skin Therapy Oil compare to the moisturiser or moisturising oil product you were using before (if you were using one)?
Think I'll keep using it on my chest scar but go back to my normal moisturiser on my face.
~ Do you think you'd be likely to continue using it on a regular basis or not? If so, why? If not why not?
On my chest yes, face no. Didn't notice any improvement and it's more expensive.
~ If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Palmer's Skin Therapy Oil to a friend/relative? If so why? If not, why not?
Possibly for scars, not just as a normal moisturiser. It's expensive and I didn't have any noticeable benefit.

~ Which areas of your body did you use the Skin Therapy Oil?
On my post pregnancy tummy and on my face where I have slight acne scarring.

~ How easy or difficult did you find applying the oil? How did it fit into your daily routine?
It was easy to apply, wasn't too greasy on my body, felt a bit oily on my face until it sinks in but looks fine.

~ Did the Skin Therapy Oil absorb easily or not? How did it leave your skin feeling?
It did, took a bit longer on my face, le my skin feeling really soft.

~ How did you find the smell/fragrance of the oil?
I found the smell a bit grannyish I'm afraid! Didn't really like it at all and that put me off a bit!

~ Did you notice any difference in the appearance or feel of your skin after using the oil at all? If so, please say what you noticed.
My skin was definitely softer and looked more glowing and healthy.

~ What's the best thing about the Skin Therapy Oil? Is there anything that you don't like about it?
The best thing is that it absorbs easily and made my skin lovely and soft but I didn't like the smell, and it lingers.

~ How does the Palmer's Skin Therapy Oil compare to the moisturiser or moisturising oil product you were using before (if you were using one)?
I normally use palmers cocoa butter on my body and weleda wild rose moisturiser on my face, this oil is more moisturising. I used bio oil in pregnancy and on my post pregnancy tummy the last time and I would say I prefer this as its not so greasy.

~ Do you think you'd be likely to continue using it on a regular basis or not? If so, why? If not why not?
Probably not as it didn't do much to help the slight scarring and I really don't like the smell.

~ If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Palmer's Skin Therapy Oil to a friend/relative? If so why? If not, why not?
Definitely for a pregnant tummy, think it would be great for that as it really sinks in and moisturises the skin.

Sorry sorry sorry I'm late!

I used the oil on my face, chest (decolletage?!), strechmarky belly and very dry shins.

Really really easy to apply, and dead easy to fit into routine - takes a minute tops.

Yes it absorbed easily, not too greasy at all and felt nice and silky.

Liked the fragrance. (Preferred it to Bio-oil)

My face is looking really good - glowy and dewy, best its looked for ages. I'm really surprised what a difference its made actually. Can't honestly say I've seen any difference to strechmarks, suspect I'm stuck with them. My shins are much less dry, nice and soft.

Other than how good it's been for my skin, the best thing is definitely how easy it is to use - I have really dry skin so really should full-body moisturise every day but I can't always be bothered [lazy], this only took a second so even I can do it.
Not much I don't like - hard to get the ends out of the bottle which is the same for all pump bottles really.

Best oily thing I've ever put on my face by miles (have still been using my normal (astral!) face cream too). I prefer it to bio-oil which I used when I was pregnant, and prefer it to body lotions for ease-of-use factor although if you used it on your whole body you'd go through it pretty quickly.

Probably yes - really really like it, although I'm not sure I can afford it regularly (because I'm skint, don't think it's overpriced)

Would definitely reccomend it to a friend.

Thanks for letting me try it Smile

-I used the oil all over my body but especially on the stretch marks on my hips.
-I found it very easy apply in the evenings after my shower, I also put a few drops in my bath which worked very well.
-My skin seemed to absorb the oil immediately, no sticky or greasy residue. My skin felt silky soft.
-I liked the smell, very pretty, my OH also commented on it on several occasions.
-I have stretch marks on my hips from caused by changes during puberty. Without doubt the oil has improved the look of these stretch marks. The skin around them feels hydrated and soft.
-The best thing about the oil is how easily it absorbs into the skin and also how well it works. I cannot think of a bad point!
-I have previously been using a body butter from The Body Shop and Palmers cocoa butter. I like both these products but think the oil provided better results on my stretch marks.
-I will continue to use the oil, I have already been in my local Superdrug and purchased the Palmers Cocoa butter skin therapy oil! I will definitely be using in future.

  • I would definitely recommend to a friend or relative to use, it works, smells gorgeous and is not too expensive. A big thumbs up here!

~ Which areas of your body did you use the Skin Therapy Oil?
Face, legs and feet.

~ How easy or difficult did you find applying the oil? How did it fit into your daily routine?
I found it easy to apply the oil as it came in a pump dispenser, and I just substituted with my usual moisturising lotion.

~ Did the Skin Therapy Oil absorb easily or not? How did it leave your skin feeling?
It felt quite oily when I first applied it to my skin, but after rubbing it in thoroughly, it left my skin feeling quite smooth.

~ How did you find the smell/fragrance of the oil?
I love the fragrance! I don't really like Palmers Coconut products, as they make me feel sick (pregnant + trying to avoid stretch marks + morning sickness!). But the Rosehip oil smells light and fragrant.

~ Did you notice any difference in the appearance or feel of your skin after using the oil at all? If so, please say what you noticed.
Whether it is a coincidence or not, I found the skin on my feet and legs improve after about a week. I had really dry skin after pregnancy, and no other creams/lotions could help (they helped when first applied, but wore off as the day went on). The oil seemed to make my skin feel softer and smoother, and after using it for about 3 weeks now, my skin no longer feels dry!

~ What's the best thing about the Skin Therapy Oil? Is there anything that you don't like about it?
The best thing is that it seems to work on dry skin! And it absorbs surprisingly easily too. The bad thing is that the oil seems to come out too "fast" when dispensed, so the oil ends running down my hands!

~ How does the Palmer's Skin Therapy Oil compare to the moisturiser or moisturising oil product you were using before (if you were using one)?
I did use Bio-oil during pregnancy, and Palmer's Skin Therapy Oil smells nicer.

~ Do you think you'd be likely to continue using it on a regular basis or not? If so, why? If not why not?
I will probably use it on a semi-regular basis. By that I mean, I love that it works on dry skin, but not that keen on it being an oil. I will probably rotate with using a lotion as well.

~ If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Palmer's Skin Therapy Oil to a friend/relative? If so why? If not, why not?
I would recommend Palmer's oil as it did the trick for me.

Sorry for not commenting before now, mine only arrived on Saturday!

~ Which areas of your body did you use the Skin Therapy Oil? All over, focusing on thighs and back of my calves where I have stretch marks.
~ How easy or difficult did you find applying the oil? How did it fit into your daily routine? Very easy, liked the pump and fit in well less time consuming than normal body lotion which takes some rubbing in.
~ Did the Skin Therapy Oil absorb easily or not? How did it leave your skin feeling? Absorbed very easily, left skin soft but not greasy.
~ How did you find the smell/fragrance of the oil? Liked it, possibly would like it a bit stronger.
~ Did you notice any difference in the appearance or feel of your skin after using the oil at all? If so, please say what you noticed. I think it's too soon to say that there has been any real change but it did give my legs a nice sheen which I liked when wearing a dress at the weekend.
~ What's the best thing about the Skin Therapy Oil? Is there anything that you don't like about it? I liked how light it was.
~ How does the Palmer's Skin Therapy Oil compare to the moisturiser or moisturising oil product you were using before (if you were using one)? Prefer it although not sure if it's going to be moisturising enough long term and in winter months in particular (I have quite dry skin on my legs which normally need a heavy duty body lotion)
~ Do you think you'd be likely to continue using it on a regular basis or not? If so, why? If not why not? I would consider, depends on cost.
~ If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Palmer's Skin Therapy Oil to a friend/relative? If so why? If not, why not? I would recommend due to nice smell and how light/easily absorbed it is.

The oil was incredibly easy to apply and the pump action meant that you had the correct amount rather than masses of oil and it going over everything.

I was initially very dubious about the claim that you could dress immediately after application but it was true! It absorbed really well and my skin felt incredibly soft.

I did not really like the fragrance- it was a bit old fashioned in my opinion. I was have preferred a fresh/light scent but that said it wasn't too overpowering.

I have been using on stretch marks across my tummy and on dry patches on my elbows

My skin is noticeably softer but I haven't noticed any change in the appearance of stretchmarks but after only 2 weeks I think that would be a miracle .I will continue to use it though and hopefully I will see a difference.

I love the fact that it is so easily absorbed. The pump action (and the size) also make ir really convenient to pop into a bag if you are off to the gym/swimming pool. I do not like the scent though.

I have been using the nivea in shower oil. I think I will probably conitune to use both but use the Palmers more specifically on stetch marks/dry/sensitive areas

It is conveneniet, absorbs easily and it works but as I dont' like the fragrance I don't think I will be using it as much as I might have done.
I would recommend it but with the warning about the scent!

Which areas of your body did you use the Skin Therapy Oil?
Stomach, mainly on stretchmarks!

How easy or difficult did you find applying the oil? How did it fit into your daily routine?
Very easy to apply. I have not daily beauty routine whatsoever so I struggle to remember to do these things but when I remembered, it was very quick

Did the Skin Therapy Oil absorb easily or not? How did it leave your skin feeling?
Yes very easily and left my skin very soft. It seemed to leave much less of a residue than Bio OIl which is great. I was always getting marks on clothes from using Bio Oil and it rubbing off onto my outfit!

How did you find the smell/fragrance of the oil?
Quite gentle, much preferred it to Bio Oil (my previous skin oil)

Did you notice any difference in the appearance or feel of your skin after using the oil at all? If so, please say what you noticed.
No, but then I am rubbish at remembering daily so it's probably not a fair test

What's the best thing about the Skin Therapy Oil? Is there anything that you don't like about it?
Good absorption - no marks on clothes which is great! And a better smell!!

How does the Palmer's Skin Therapy Oil compare to the moisturiser or moisturising oil product you were using before (if you were using one)?
Better than Bio Oil, for the reasons above

Do you think you'd be likely to continue using it on a regular basis or not? If so, why? If not why not?
I'd definitely finish the bottle I was sent. If I notice any difference to the stretchmarks, then I'd probably go out and buy another one.

~ How easy or difficult did you find applying the oil? How did it fit into your daily routine? It fitted in really easily as it was a 2 second job to apply.

? ~ Did the Skin Therapy Oil absorb easily or not? How did it leave your skin feeling? ~ it left the skin on my belly feeling good but the skin on my face, that was left greasy, almost like it didn't absorb on the nose and forehead.

How did you find the smell/fragrance of the oil? I quite liked it. Dd1(9yo) wasn't so keen though.

~ Did you notice any difference in the appearance or feel of your skin after using the oil at all? If so, please say what you noticed. ~ the skin on my belly is quite full of streach marks but now, feels a lot smoother and some if the redness of the marks have reduced.

What's the best thing about the Skin Therapy Oil? Is there anything that you don't like about it? ~ it takes seconds to absorb (on areas where it does absorb) and has done me some good, the only thing I didn't like was the fact that it didn't absorb on my face.

Do you think you'd be likely to continue using it on a regular basis or not? If so, why? If not why not? Yes. Hopefully, it will help to continue to reduce the marks.

~ If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Palmer's Skin Therapy Oil to a friend/relative? If so why? If not, why not? If they were looking at getting one of the pricier products then yes, I would advise about palmers. Also, if they wanted a streach mark cream. I would recommend this.

~ Which areas of your body did you use the Skin Therapy Oil?
On my pregnant stomach

~ How easy or difficult did you find applying the oil? How did it fit into your daily routine?
Easy, used it at night so it would only go on nightclothes

~ Did the Skin Therapy Oil absorb easily or not? How did it leave your skin feeling?
Seemed to absorb easily, wasn't too greasy. Skin felt soft.

~ How did you find the smell/fragrance of the oil?
Liked the smell, not too strong

~ Did you notice any difference in the appearance or feel of your skin after using the oil at all? If so, please say what you noticed.
Not much difference but helped with skin feeling itchy

~ What's the best thing about the Skin Therapy Oil? Is there anything that you don't like about it?
Was easy to use, a little went a long way. Wouldn't use it in the daytime in case of staining clothes

~ How does the Palmer's Skin Therapy Oil compare to the moisturiser or moisturising oil product you were using before (if you were using one)?
I have tried Bio Oil on my stomach and seems very similar

~ Do you think you'd be likely to continue using it on a regular basis or not? If so, why? If not why not?
I will continue using it for my stomach during pregnancy but won't use it on my body afterwards as I like to moisturize in the morning and would be worried about staining clothes

~ If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Palmer's Skin Therapy Oil to a friend/relative? If so why? If not, why not?
Would recommend it for them to try, particularly because of the smell

I used the skin therapy oil on my tummy stretch marks, so very old stretch marks on my bum and also I used it once a week on my face.

Fitted easily into my daily routine as I moisturise my whole body every day due to having dry skin and a tendency to break out in eczema.

It sank in nicely but I definitely waited a few minutes before dressing as I wasn't confident that it wouldn't stain.

I liked the smell of the oil, it reminded me a lot of bio oil; a nice clean, not over powering but still feminine smell.

I think the older stretchmarks on my bum look better, the newer ones on my tummy don't seem as noticeable and my skin where I have used the oil is much healthier looking; smoother and a bit of a glow.

I think the best thing about the oil is the lightness, it doesn't feel like you are coating yourself in thick grease. Being part of a family with eczema, we are pretty much experts on all types of moisturisers!

I always use a moisturiser and I really liked the oil, but it's a small bottle and as much as I would love to coat myself head to toe everyday, I really think it's not designed for that! I will use it as a treatment alongside my usual cream.

I will carry on using the oil as I did like it. And I will happily recommend it to others. Now I have tried it and it has not caused any issues, I will be putting some on my daughter who suffers terribly with eczema as I really think it will help her legs and arms.

Thanks so much for the opportunity to try it!

~ Which areas of your body did you use the Skin Therapy Oil? stretchmarks and scar on my chest

~ How easy or difficult did you find applying the oil? How did it fit into your daily routine?
I liked the pump application

~ Did the Skin Therapy Oil absorb easily or not? How did it leave your skin feeling? Slightly more liquidy than oily consistency than Bio Oil so I liked the way it rubbed in better

~ How did you find the smell/fragrance of the oil?
OK, understated.

~ Did you notice any difference in the appearance or feel of your skin after using the oil at all? If so, please say what you noticed.
Felt moisturized - will need to use it longer to see if scars/stretchmarks reduced

~ What's the best thing about the Skin Therapy Oil? Is there anything that you don't like about it?
Less oily and more moisturising than competitors.
Don't like that it left my hands feeling greasy. Also the pump dispensed too much for the area I needed. Also it looks too much like a clone - why make it the same colour - should do something different to not seem like a copy

~ How does the Palmer's Skin Therapy Oil compare to the moisturiser or moisturising oil product you were using before (if you were using one)?
It is less oily

~ Do you think you'd be likely to continue using it on a regular basis or not? If so, why? If not why not?

~ Which areas of your body did you use the Skin Therapy Oil?
I used the oil on my hips and tummy. I also used it on my 2.9yo daughter all over and 4mo son all over when I couldn't find the sweet almond oil we normally use for massage.

~ How easy or difficult did you find applying the oil? How did it fit into your daily routine?
I must admit to using bio-oil mainly after a shower so didn't find changing to the Palmer's skin therapy oil any different. It was just as quick and easy to apply, I did like the pump on top rather than the faff of screwing the lid on and off.

~ Did the Skin Therapy Oil absorb easily or not? How did it leave your skin feeling?
It absorbed really well after the shower and didn't feel greasy or unpleasant. My skin felt soft and pliable.

~ How did you find the smell/fragrance of the oil?
the scent is very gentle and my husband preferred it when he applied some, but I must admit I love the scent of bio-oil so feel a bit biased.

~ Did you notice any difference in the appearance or feel of your skin after using the oil at all? If so, please say what you noticed.
My stretchmarks are starting to fade, whether this is down to using these products or not, i am unsure, but my skin feels lovely after using them and no longer feels tight or tingly.

~ What's the best thing about the Skin Therapy Oil? Is there anything that you don't like about it?
Actually rather impressed. I was never keen on the cocoa butter scent, much prefer this product. I like the bottle it came in and the pump dispenser was easy to use when your hands are slippery with oil at application.

~ How does the Palmer's Skin Therapy Oil compare to the moisturiser or moisturising oil product you were using before (if you were using one)?
apart from the scent I really wouldn't notice the difference between Bio-Oil and Palmers, both have left my stretched skin [from weight gain and babies] in soft condition and have aided the fading of stretch marks.

~ Do you think you'd be likely to continue using it on a regular basis or not? If so, why? If not why not?
I think it would depend on factors like price, if it was cheaper I would buy it again. If there was no price difference I would buy the bio oil, mainly for the scent.

~ If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Palmer's Skin Therapy Oil to a friend/relative? If so why? If not, why not?
I would recommend this product, alongside bio-oil, but it would be nice to suggest another option as well. I know lots of friends who don't like the bio-oil scent and can see this being a hit with them.

Which areas of your body did you use the Skin Therapy Oil?
Neck, hands, knees, shins, bum! and last but not least belly/dreaded stretch marks.

How easy or difficult did you find applying the oil? How did it fit into your daily routine?
I applied in the morning straight after a bath and on an evening just before getting into bed. The lid was abit faffy getting it on and off - especially after with oily hands! So the lid stayed off. As it is oil I had to be careful not to squirt it everywhere and into a cupped hand. But other than that it was very easy to apply.

Did the Skin Therapy Oil absorb easily or not? How did it leave your skin feeling?
It absorbed very easily - my dry bits knees especially appreciated the extra moisture! Before massaging the oil in my skin does initially feel greasy but afterwards my skin felt soft, smooth and silky.

How did you find the smell/fragrance of the oil?
Subtle, it's not a 'fashionable' scent but it worked fine with my usual perfume. As I went to bed wearing the oil I was glad of it's subtleness - some creams are too overpowering which have prevented me from falling off to sleep well in the past.

Did you notice any difference in the appearance or feel of your skin after using the oil at all? If so, please say what you noticed.
My skin feels soft and smooth - especially noticeable on my shins and neckline - to the point where it actually gave me some confidence to wear skirts when the weather was hot! the oil made my shins look glistening and just seemed to make the skin on my legs look good for once! Even my husband noticed I've been wearing skirts and questioned why the sudden turn around on my skirt wearing restrictions!

The skin on my belly/stretch marks felt softer but alas the oil didn't improve my stretch marks nor tone of my skin. Although I realistically knew it wouldn't as they're old scars (5 years old) and are quite bad sadly. When I've shown family/friends they've all been horrified - yes horrified with hands over mouth and audible gasps Sad. I'd have to have either cosmetic surgery or that new skin cell treatment to get rid and both are too drastic/expensive and tbh compared to other people's problems I know it's not that much of a flaw to live with.

What's the best thing about the Skin Therapy Oil? Is there anything that you don't like about it?
It does make my legs look fab and glistening and has given me confidence to wear skirts as mentioned previously!

There's nothing I don't like - although I wished it really did improve my stretch marks.

How does the Palmer's Skin Therapy Oil compare to the moisturiser or moisturising oil product you were using before (if you were using one)?
Tbh it's very similar (if not the same) as Bio Oil which I used religiously when I was pregnant and still did zip for my stretch marks Angry But better than my huge selection of cream moisturisers which effects seem to not be very long lasting.

Do you think you'd be likely to continue using it on a regular basis or not? If so, why? If not why not?
Well it would be wasteful not to finish the bottle you kindly sent me (thank you, by the way Grin), so I suppose the answer would be yes! It moisturises my legs/neck beautifully so I'm happy to keep using it. Whether I buy another one when I finish the bottle - I'm not so sure - I've an entire wardrobe shelf and bathroom cupboard full of moisturisers to use up that have been Christmas and birthday gifts that will soon become a hording problem if I don't act now!

If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Palmer's Skin Therapy Oil to a friend/relative? If so why? If not, why not?
I would recommend Palmer's Skin Therapy Oil as a long lasting and skin softening moisturiser but not as a stretch mark cure based on my experience. I've already told my sisters but they don't have stretch marks Envy

~ Which areas of your body did you use the Skin Therapy Oil? I applied it to my pregnant belly and also added it to my bath
~ How easy or difficult did you find applying the oil? How did it fit into your daily routine? It was much less messy than Bio-oil, thanks to the pump dispenser and it was easy to apply. I found it easy to add into my daily routine, just using after a shower or in my bath itself.
~ Did the Skin Therapy Oil absorb easily or not? How did it leave your skin feeling? It absorbed pretty easily for an oil and wasn't greasy, but just takes a few seconds longer than a lotion might. Compared to a lotion, however, my skin feels loads better, smoother and softer.
~ How did you find the smell/fragrance of the oil? I really love the smell of the oil, it's not overpowering, but really pleasant.
~ Did you notice any difference in the appearance or feel of your skin after using the oil at all? If so, please say what you noticed. It seems to have prevented my old stretchmarks from flaring up, so they are still silvery and smooth - after my second pregnancy, I didn't use anything in the early stages when my belly began to swell and my stretchmarks reappeared really quickly and when they appear they are really noticeable -bright pink on white skin (not a great look!), so it's working wonderfully well at the moment, I'm really pleased.
~ What's the best thing about the Skin Therapy Oil? Is there anything that you don't like about it? The fact that it is helping to keep my skin happy and healthy!
~ How does the Palmer's Skin Therapy Oil compare to the moisturiser or moisturising oil product you were using before (if you were using one)? It's better than the Bio-Oil I was using before - better fragrance, better dispensation and better results
~ Do you think you'd be likely to continue using it on a regular basis or not? If so, why? If not why not? Definitely, this is the product for me for my pregnant belly and for afterwards!
~ If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Palmer's Skin Therapy Oil to a friend/relative? If so why? If not, why not? I definitely would recommend this, in fact I already have to a friend who is pregnant!

-Which areas of your body did you use the Skin Therapy Oil?
I used it on my body and on my face, also used it as a massage oil

-How easy or difficult did you find applying the oil? How did it fit into your daily routine?
It was really easy to apply- I liked the pump bottle. It fit into my routine well- after a shower, and I tested it as a facial moisturiser a few times. As a massage oil, it worked well and went quite far.

-Did the Skin Therapy Oil absorb easily or not? How did it leave your skin feeling?
It absorbed well, I have quite dry skin and it went quite far. my skin felt soft and not oily.

-How did you find the smell/fragrance of the oil?
I liked it, it was delicate

-Did you notice any difference in the appearance or feel of your skin after using the oil at all? If so, please say what you noticed.
My skin felt soft and moisturised, and not greasy- which is better than when I had been using baby oil after a shower.

~ What's the best thing about the Skin Therapy Oil? Is there anything that you don't like about it?
I like the scent, I like that it is versatile and can be used all over the body including the face. I think it's too greasy for a day time face moisturiser though.

-How does the Palmer's Skin Therapy Oil compare to the moisturiser or moisturising oil product you were using before (if you were using one)?
It's less greasy than baby oil for the body, and works well as a face mosituriser at night

~ Do you think you'd be likely to continue using it on a regular basis or not? If so, why? If not why not?
Yes, because it feels nice, smells nice and is easy to dispense.

~ If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Palmer's Skin Therapy Oil to a friend/relative? If so why? If not, why not?
-If it came up in conversation, yes, as it's so versatile and easy to use, plus didn't iritate my usually sensitive skin.

Sorry this is a bit late, we have been away somewhere with absolutely no signal for a week!

I have deliberately not read anyone else's comments before adding mine.

Which areas of your body did you use the Skin Therapy Oil? - I used it on my face predominantly, then on tummy (stretch marks) and on my legs

~ How easy or difficult did you find applying the oil? How did it fit into your daily routine? - I always cleanse, tone and moisturise so it fitted in with my facial skincare routine fine. It's easy to apply and covers no problem.

~ Did the Skin Therapy Oil absorb easily or not? How did it leave your skin feeling? - I found it took a long time to absorb on my face, and I have dry skin. It left my face looking shiny and I didn't find it great to put foundation on over the top. If I was just at home and didn't put make up on, once it had absorbed it felt nice on my skin. My DH commented on how shiny my face looked though!!

~ How did you find the smell/fragrance of the oil? - I'm afraid I didn't like the smell, although I did get used to it. It reminded me of some perfumes my grandma used to wear and as I usually buy zero or minimally fragranced things, I really noticed the smell.

~ Did you notice any difference in the appearance or feel of your skin after using the oil at all? If so, please say what you noticed.
I put it on after swimming on my legs, because my dry skin really suffers in the pool from the chlorine and I didn't have the usual intense itching and dryness that follows a swim. I didn't notice any difference to my stretch marks but they are silver and not very deep so perhaps nothing much would improve them.

~ What's the best thing about the Skin Therapy Oil? Is there anything that you don't like about it? - I liked that you could put clothes on straight away and I didn't see any deposits on my clothes. It really helped my dry skin but I wouldn't use it on my face as a regular part of my facial routine to start the day. I would use it at night though.

~ How does the Palmer's Skin Therapy Oil compare to the moisturiser or moisturising oil product you were using before (if you were using one)? - I didn't like it as a day moisturiser but I would use it at night. It seems to be more moisturising and I felt that the skin on my face was smoother once it had soaked in.

~ Do you think you'd be likely to continue using it on a regular basis or not? If so, why? If not why not? - I think I will continue using it on arms and legs after swimming and as a night moisturiser.

~ If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Palmer's Skin Therapy Oil to a friend/relative? If so why? If not, why not? - I might recommend it, if someone had dry skin.

Which areas of your body did you use the skin therapy oil?
the stretchmarks on my stomach and hips

How easy or difficult did you find applying the oil? How did it fit into your daily routine?
Very easy - the pump was easy to use and meant that not too much was dispensed. I used morning and evening - so fitted into my routine easily. The instructions said to use 3x daily but that wasn't practical so I only applied 2x daily.

Did the Skin Therapy Oil absorb easily or not? How did it leave your skin feeling?
Very easily- it didn't need much rubbing and I could get dressed without staining my clothes almost immediately afterwards. My skin felt well moisturised afterwards.

How did you find the smell/fragrance of the oil?
I didn't like it at all - it smelt like a floral chocolate. I couldn't use it on my face or hands as the scent was too strong and nauseating.

Did you notice any difference in the appearance or feel of your skin after using the oil at all? If so, please say what you noticed.
My skin felt softer and less wrinkled. I can't say my stretchmarks faded but they were quite silvery to start off with.

What is the best thing about the skin therapy oil? Is there anything you didnt like about it?
The pump was inspired but the I couldnt get over the smell.

How does the Palmer's Skin Therapy Oil compare to the moisturiser or moisturising oil produc you were using before?
I was not using a product regularly before.

Do you think you'd be likely to continue using it on a regular basis or not?
No, unless the smell was changed.

If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Palmer's Skin Therapy Oil to a friend/relative?
Not sure. The product was good and seemed to work but I personally didn't like the smell. Others might like the smell (this thread is testament to that) so I might recommend with a warning to test before buying!

  • I used the oil on the stretch marks on my new mum boobs.
  • it was easy to use and easy as part of a daily routine- it absorbed fairly quickly and did not feel greasy once absorbed.
  • I fragrance is pleasant and it leaves skin very silky smooth.
  • I have not yet notice a difference in the appearance of my stretch marks but have not always banged to use it every day. I will keep using it until the oil runs out and keep my fingers crossed!
  • I would recommend it for the the smell and feel but could not yet comment on the healing properties.
