I am not a tester but have been buying organix for years esp in the first year of my LOs experimenting with food, the carrot said, corn snacks and rice cakes can always be food in our nappy back. Nice size packets and no salt, perfect

Non-tester here but my two boys love the snack range.

We use the apple rice cakes, carrot puffs, tomato stars and the sweetcorn wheels. They're just the right size for little hands and I don't worry about choking with them.

I was sent the sample of products to test.

Q1 What was your overall first impressions of the selection of foods that Organix has just launched? Was it what you were expecting? If not how was it different?

The selection of the foods was good on first impressions. The packaging looked good and there was lots of variety. I thought I might get one of each type of product so was impressed to get the multipacks - I think they're a good idea as once toddlers get older these snacks don't last two minutes so it's good to buy multiples.

Q2 Did any of the foods you received stand out as very new and different to what other toddler food is out there? Why do you say that?

The cereal stood out to me as new and different - I've not thought about buying a separate cereal before. The banana one looked like a good 'stepping stone' between baby porridge etc and kids' cereal, i.e. packaging aimed more at the toddler than at the mother. A good idea to make it with numbers on as well for older toddlers to start recognising.

The squeezy tubes were new to me too - dd's had the pouches a lot and really enjoys them, but the tubes looked good as would take up less space in a bag and I also really like the idea of freezing them, which I'm going to try with the ones I have left.

Q3 In general, when do you think you'd buy these foods again - can you think of specific occasions when they?d really help you?

The cereal bars I would definitely buy again. They seemed like a substantial snack and dd loved them. I can see myself popping those and a banana in her bag as a snack when we're out for the day.

I would buy the pouches of fruit purees again... dd absolutely loves them but they don't last very long at all so I would only buy these as a special treat rather than as a regular buy.

I would buy the gummies as well, dd said 'mmmm' while she was eating them and was keen to finish the pack. Maybe to give her to keep her amused if we're waiting somewhere or when she's in the trolley going round the supermarket.

Q4 Did you / your partner try any of the foods yourself, if so what did you think of them?

I thought all the snack type food was lovely - the cereal bars were delicious and the fruit purees are like smoothies. I found the cereal a bit tasteless but ok. The soups and meals, however, I didn't like... they seemed to have a funny, metallic sort of taste that I recognise from tinned food. I didn't really rate them at all.

Q5 What did you think of the value for money for the items?

I thought the products were appropriately priced - not amazing value for money but I'd always expect to pay more for a product like organix and get the quality. I think having the snacks in multipacks made them reasonably priced - especially the cereal bars as I think of those as expensive but they work out pretty cheap in the multipack. The gummies are a nice price to sort of add to your shopping basket without really thinking about. The squeezy tubes, if a success when freezing, are good value for money I think.

I don't think the meals are very good value for money, but they are similar price to other baby meals. It's just that if you save a little bit of whatever dinner you made last night it's so much cheaper - however I suppose you're paying for the convenience and the fact you can keep them in the cupboard for ages. I was looking forward to them being a good 'back up meal' for when we got back home late or I was too tired to make a dinner. Unfortunately dd wouldn't eat them.

Q6 And last, but importantly, what did your little one think of the foods? Were there any firm favourites that you will look to purchase in the future, and if so why?

Dd loved all of the snacks, especially the cereal bars and the gummies. The only negative I can say about the gummies is that the packs were quite stiff, narrow and long, so dd was unable to get the gummies out of the pack without help. I'd prefer a wider pack that she could master independently. I will definitely be looking to buy these again in the future.

Dd liked the cereal, but no more than the shreddies and rice crispies we already have in the cupboard, and not as much as her current favourite, porridge. As she will happily eat adult cereals such as weetabix etc that are better value for money and the whole family can eat, I probably wouldn't buy it again, unless for eg we were on holiday and I wanted to buy her a bit of a 'treat'.

The meals and soups I would not be able to buy again. Dd is not a particularly fussy eater but after trying one mouthful of these refused to have any more. The beef hotpot she wouldn't even swallow but scraped it back off her tongue and spat it out. I was looking forward to these meals as I thought they'd make my life a bit easier but instead I had to throw them away and make a different dinner for her, which ended up being more work! She tends to prefer the toddler meals from the chilled section of the supermarket, e.g. spaghetti bolognaise, fish pie etc. She does like homemade soup and meat, potatoes, veg and gravy though so it's not just the type of food she didn't like it seemed to be to do with the flavours or texture.

Overall I was really pleased with the selection of food from organix, but it has cemented for me the idea that I would buy this type of brand for snacks and treats instead of for meals. Dd really enjoys the crisps, which I buy regularly, and now I will also be buying the cereal bars and the gummies.

Q1 What was your overall first impressions of the selection of foods that Organix has just launched? Was it what you were expecting? If not how was it different?

The products were mostly what I was expecting, it was a very generous trial package though so thank you. I haven't used Organix since 5yo dd was a baby so it was nice to see a wider range.

Q2 Did any of the foods you received stand out as very new and different to what other toddler food is out there? Why do you say that?

I liked the idea of the toddler soup, I'm always looking for different lunch ideas but am not happy to give 17mo ds canned soup. I gave him the chicken and sweetcorn soup with some pitta fingers and he LOVED it. Unfortunately I knocked the other tub of soup out of the cupboard and it decorated the floor so he didn't get that one :-(

Q3 In general, when do you think you'd buy these foods again - can you think of specific occasions when they?d really help you?

I plan to keep some of the soups in for quick but filling lunchs. I guess the readymeals would be handy when we're dashing to and from after school clubs but I'm not sure I'd buy them. The oaty bars are great for taking out as snacks.

Q4 Did you / your partner try any of the foods yourself, if so what did you think of them?

We tried everything that ds has had, the soup tasted lovely. The veg and bean ready meal seems quite watery but it gave ds a poorly tummy and a blistered bottom so we won't have that again anyway. The Number Jumble reminded me of a cereal from my childhood, ds hasn't had it with milk but dry as a snack.

Q5 What did you think of the value for money for the items?

They are quite expensive but no more so that other similar items, and I'm prepared to pay slightly more for the 'no junk' promise.

Q6 And last, but importantly, what did your little one think of the foods? Were there any firm favourites that you will look to purchase in the future, and if so why?

Ds loved the soup and the oaty bars both of which I plan to buy more of. He liked the squeezies but they are very runny and I think I'll end up freezing the rest to use as toddler lollies. He liked the cereal as a snack but I don't think he'd happily replace his weetabix or porridge with it regularly. As I said, the ready meal didn't agree with him but it's not something I would have bought really anyway. I liked the pouch things, as they were resealable and would go well with natural yoghurt. The only thing we haven't tried is the gummies as I think they're a bit too sweetie like for 17mo ds but I might get dd to try them.

Overall we really enjoyed testing the products (and still have a few left!) so thank you very much for the opportunity to try some new things.

Q1 What was your overall first impressions of the selection of foods that Organix has just launched? Was it what you were expecting? If not how was it different?

I think it was what I was expecting and only the soups and ready meals really are very innovative and unusual.

Was pleased to see that there wasn't sweeteners in the ready meals like some toddler meals (Annabel Carmel put apple juice in their bolognese bake, for example, yuk, I've got a feeling I put something back on the shelf in M&S too when I noticed the same a while back).

Q2 Did any of the foods you received stand out as very new and different to what other toddler food is out there? Why do you say that?

Like I said, the soups and the ready meals. It tends to be that you move on from ambient baby food to chilled ready meals so it's really convenient to have something long life for toddlers.

Oaty bars and squeezy fruit thingys we've been eating for ages. The little gummies were new I suppose.

Q3 In general, when do you think you'd buy these foods again - can you think of specific occasions when they?d really help you?

The meals are totally fantastic especially the one with dumplings. I had had one of those days running everywhere, late from work, tube delays, aarrrrgh, did nursery pick up and within 2 minutes literally of walking through the door DD2 was eating it. She snarfed the lot. Loved it. Can feed herself it too which is great, whereas soup she just tries to tip on the floor so that had to be supervised.

Q4 Did you / your partner try any of the foods yourself, if so what did you think of them?

Put it this way, the ready meals and soups don't look very appetising, in fact they look a bit like vomit (sorry, it's all the chopped carrot). But DD2 loved them all, except she refused point blank one of the soups but I think that's because she was tired rather than anything to do with the soup itself!

There is something very weird though about buying meat in a product which is stored at room temperature. It just seems a bit bleurgh somehow, especially with all of the scandals about poor quality meat. I think I would prefer more veggie options. Especially since there is only small quantities of meat in the food anyway. It's mostly stock, let's face it.

I also tried the banana cereal. It was less sweet than I expected but tasted a bit processed. DD1 liked feeding it to herself again, using her fingers or her spoon- it was a good size for her. She's eating it every day at the moment.

Q5 What did you think of the value for money for the items?

About right. Just depressing when they won't touch them and you threw them away- but that's not Organix' fault! Big portions- probably bigger than a 1 year old needs.

The banana cereal had little in the pack so I would probably try to keep DD2 on the weetabix, porridge etc. with the rest of the family, to avoid having millions of different boxes on the table.

Q6 And last, but importantly, what did your little one think of the foods? Were there any firm favourites that you will look to purchase in the future, and if so why?

She liked everything. She really did. If DD2 were in charge of the shopping she would buy the lot. Fortunately she is 1 year old so... Grin

I'm already dashing off to buy more of the ready meals with dumplings- anything vaguely healthy which can be cooked in 40 seconds gets my vote.

The oaty bars she likes but I thought they were too sweet- even DD2 (5) commented that they were very very sweet. I don't think we'd buy those regularly, maybe as a treat for a car journey or something as they are not too crumbly.

The squeezy fruit purees- both sizes- great- I currently buy the Ellas version, would buy again whichever was on special offer. DD1 stole some of these and liked them.

The gummies were a nice treat but a bit small and fiddly for DD2's little fingers, they went everywhere!

Thank you for the opportunity to try these products, very grateful.

I wasn't on the panel either but regularly purchase the snacks. The raspberry/apple oat bars are brilliant, as are the crisps. Lots of choices of flavours and shapes and no nasty stuff - great! But I can see why some parents would lean towards other cheaper brands as it does add up...

I wasn't chosen to test them either but the snacks always go down well in this house with a 6yo and a 2yo - youngest especially likes the rice-cakes and the eldest takes a oaty bar to school on swimming days. I saw the new range of ready meals in our local Morrisons last week and bought the pasta Bolognese for DD2 to try. Unfortunately she was not impressed - neither was I when I tried it. It tasted much like any of the other toddler ready meals - pretty bland and quite slushy and it had that familiar jarred baby food smell (just what is that smell?). Quite disappointing really. I won't be buying any more of the meals but will continue with the snacky stuff.

Questions for testers:
Q1 What was your overall first impressions of the selection of foods that Organix has just launched? Was it what you were expecting? If not how was it different?

Very impressive selection, I don't normally use any toddler ready meals but was keen to try the Soups and Meals by Organix.

Q2 Did any of the foods you received stand out as very new and different to what other toddler food is out there? Why do you say that?

I've not seen the fruit tubes and the soups both looked good.

Q3 In general, when do you think you'd buy these foods again - can you think of specific occasions when they?d really help you?

The bars are great when you are out and about for a quick snack. DS loved the Strawberry ones especially. The fruit gummies he didn't seem to enjoy, however my DD (7) was very happy to finish them off.

Q4 Did you / your partner try any of the foods yourself, if so what did you think of them?

I did pick at the Rasberry cereal, DS didn't like it for breakfast with milk, but enjoyed it as a dry snack when out in the pram.

Q5 What did you think of the value for money for the items?
All good value.

Q6 And last, but importantly, what did your little one think of the foods? Were there any firm favourites that you will look to purchase in the future, and if so why?

Squeezy fruit tubes were a winner (also popular when frozen), i would buy these for sure and continue to buy the cereal bars.

He has not been that keen on the meals, but he he is very set in his eating at the moment (fish and veg or chicken and veg) and seems to refuse pretty much everything else. So I don't take his refusal of these as any genuine feedback.

Was great to be selected as a tester - many thanks - was great to see the new products that a brand I am very happy to buy being extened.

Thank you for choosing me and DS1 to test the products!

Q1 What was your overall first impressions of the selection of foods that Organix has just launched? Was it what you were expecting? If not how was it different?

Lovely big box of things which DS was very excited about unpacking. I liked the packaging, nice bright colours. Wide selection of different sorts of products, I had expected new variants of things that I was already familiar with but there were some completely new lines (to me!) included.

Q2 Did any of the foods you received stand out as very new and different to what other toddler food is out there? Why do you say that?

I haven't seen ready made soups for toddlers before, that was something new and different to me. The squeezy fruit tubes were something that I had not purchased before and the cereal was also something slightly different to what is currently available, kind of the next step up from baby rice or smoother porridges / cereals.

Q3 In general, when do you think you'd buy these foods again - can you think of specific occasions when they?d really help you?

I would probably buy most of these foods again. The snacks, like the gummies and the oat bars, are handy to carry in your handbag (the oat bars are more robust than some of the other snacks so hopefully will survive being slightly battered in my bag!) and the fruit purees are good for salving your conscience if you have children (like mine) who are not particularly keen on eating fruit.

The ready meals and soups are something that it is handy to have in the cupboard. I work part time and tend to finish late in the day so I need to have either 'something I made earlier' or a ready meal to hand to quickly heat up. Really good for a plan B dinner! However, as with most toddler food, you have to steel yourself to serve it up, have it ignored and then put it in the bin!

Q4 Did you / your partner try any of the foods yourself, if so what did you think of them?

I tried most of them Blush no wonder DS1 is rather protective of his food! I tried the soups which I thought were very nice indeed. I wasn't quite so keen on the ready meals but that might be psychological! Like domestic it seems a bit strange to store a meal containing meat just in the cupboard. In fact DH was so opposed to this idea that he kept moving the meals into the fridge!

I liked the apricot oat bars very much, we haven't opened the strawberry flavour yet. The gummies were also nice. Wasn't keen on the banana cereal myself. Really dislike the squeezy fruit oddly enough as love the fruits that go into it, just the texture I think!

Q5 What did you think of the value for money for the items?

I think that they are relatively good value for money. Although they are expensive when compared to some of the 'adult' alternatives (particularly the cereal) you are paying for convenience and for the reassurance that there isn't anything nasty lurking inside. Less so with DS1 but with my PFB I was very conscious of salt content and so on.

Difficult to assess value for money when a lot of the food that I end up serving my two goes in the bin. But I always think that if I have offered a nutritionally 'ok' meal and they choose not to eat it, I have done my part!

Q6 And last, but importantly, what did your little one think of the foods? Were there any firm favourites that you will look to purchase in the future, and if so why?

The fruit squeezies were gone almost instantly. DD2 (4) and DS1 both asked for them to be opened straight away, finished and asked for the remaining one each within five minutes of the box being opened! Will definitely be buying these again, particularly if they were on special offer. They have a long shelf life and are good for getting fruit into my fussy lot!

Interestingly, I couldn't get either child to try the tubes although (I think) we had exactly the same flavour as the pouches. They didn't seem to understand the concept to sucking it out of the tubes and so they just squirted it all over themselves and me! I tried to show them but, as I hate the contents, I probably wasn't the best example! I've still got some left so will have another go.

The soups got a mixed result. DS1 liked dipping oat cakes and bread in them but freaked out every time he got a bean or a sweetcorn kernel. Both of mine seem to struggle with smooth textures with lumps contained within (like soup) wonder if there are any plans for completely smooth soups at all? Oh and we don't have a microwave (teeny workspace in kitchen) which seemed to be all that there was cooking instructions for?

DS1 liked the meals with dumplings and ate it all. He was not so happy about the lamb hotpot but I think it might, again, be the presence of the kidney beans that put him off!

The cereal we have tried with milk and dry. Neither was a success although DS1 was VERY interested in the box and the shape of the cereal. Was surprised that he didn't eat more of this but he has already progressed to Weetabix and Cheerios in the morning which, I assume, probably have sugar and salt in them? And porridge which definitely has lots of sugar put on top Perhaps the cereal was too bland for his corrupted taste buds?

Gummies were a success but I agree with the previous posters comments about the packaging (too inflexible and narrow for little fingers) but I would buy these again as they would be handy to keep in your bag and for keeping little ones occupied for five minutes or so in an emergency. Under those circumstances perhaps the slightly tricky packaging could be an advantage!

Oat bars . . . the reaction was a bit 'meh' from both children. DD2 kind of half heartedly chomped but gave up half way through. DS1 smelt it and put it to his lips but wouldn't try any further. However, I thought that they were very nice and I'm sure they would eat them if they were all that I had to offer out of my handbag.

Definitely will buy the snack options again (including the fruit tubes if I can persuade them to try them!) and all of mine have loved the Organix crisps, pouches and biscuits (especially gingerbread men) over the years. Nice to test out some new ideas and I'm sure I'll be looking to purchase more when DD3 arrives in the autumn!

Thanks again for selecting us. My feedback is as follows...

  1. The selection looked good but there seemed to be a lot of cereal bars. I was expecting more meals like the soup and hotpots as well as snacks. Also, flavour-wise, a lot of mango and apple or strawberry. A wider variety of fruit flavours might be interesting.

  2. The fruit gummies are quite unlike anything else I?ve seen on the market. Nice and soft. I think they?re a great option for parents who don?t want their young kids eating proper sweets (particularly due to the choking hazard).

The cereal is something else I haven?t seen before. It?s a nice alternative to porridge or toast. Adult cereals are usually too hard but most other cereals aimed at kids are really sugary and sticky and not of much nutritional value.

  3. We?d certainly buy some of the snacks again, particularly when travelling. The fruit gummies also as a special treat. We may buy the meals and soups as a back-up when DS can?t share our home-cooked evening meal (we do like a hot hot curry from time to time)! We?re also going camping soon so may take some of the meals as an easy option.

  4. We tried all of the foods and most were really nice. The soup seemed really bland to my taste but that?s because I like salt. Same with the cereal-it tasted really bland to me and not at all fruity but it?s not aimed at me!

  5. I do think the items are quite pricy but that?s because we don?t spend much on food in our house- we buy on offer and often opt for value products and cook from scratch. Compared to making your own versions of the meals they?re really expensive but that?s the premium you pay for ready-made products of course. Compared to other baby/toddler food brands they don?t seem terribly different in price.

  6. He liked everything except the cereal and squeezy tubes. I suppose he just didn?t like the taste of the cereal but the problem with the squeezy tubes was the packaging. He just couldn?t work out what to do with it! He hasn?t got the hang of squirting things out of tubes and into his mouth- they went everywhere but his mouth including the walls and furniture. The edges of the tubes seemed really sharp too! We would not buy them again.

Everything else went down well. We will probably buy some products in future as stated in Q3 above. His friends at toddler group enjoyed the cereal bars too so we may buy them for future parties/picnics with friends.

    Hope that helps!

I've bought the sauce pot recipe bases. The Indian one wasn't popular but the Thai and Italian ones will be bought again.

The oaty bars are handy to have as emergency snacks but seem high in sugar. The veg ones e.g. tomato and carrot have disappeared from the shelves, possibly discontinued?

I'd be interested in fresh refrigerated meals if made.

Q1 What was your overall first impressions of the selection of foods that Organix has just launched? Was it what you were expecting? If not how was it different?

I was really impressed when I opened the box. There were lots of products that I hadn't bought before (but had thought about it as had seen them on the supermarket shelf). I was expecting there to be less things to test.

Q2 Did any of the foods you received stand out as very new and different to what other toddler food is out there? Why do you say that?

The soups and little pots stood out to me the most as I had seen the other things from other brands in some shape or form before. Also the gummies.

Q3 In general, when do you think you'd buy these foods again - can you think of specific occasions when they?d really help you?

I haven't tried everything yet but of what we have tried I would buy the snack bars again although they are quite expensive. The soups and stews (if go down well) would come in really useful of we were camping or in a rush and didnt have time to cook a meal. Would like more veggie options though as others above have said.

Q4 Did you / your partner try any of the foods yourself, if so what did you think of them?

Only the oat bars and thought they were a bit dry and sweet but went down well with DD! Will report back when we have tried the others.

Q5 What did you think of the value for money for the items?

I think the oat bars are quite expensive but comparable i guess with other organic snacks of the market.

Q6 And last, but importantly, what did your little one think of the foods? Were there any firm favourites that you will look to purchase in the future, and if so why?

We haven't tried everything yet but will report back later when we do.

DD loves the strawberry bars (she is only newly one so at the younger end of your range) DS is 3.5, he doesn't like them at all I'm afraid but he used to when he was younger! I would buy these again.

she also really liked the cereal and enjoyed eating it bit by bit off the highchair! Not sure if I would buy this again as she loves weetabix, oatabix etc too, if I had bought it when she was younger though I would probably have bought it again.

Both DD and DS love your rice cakes, carrot puffs, tomato stars etc, in fact all of your range like that so we are a frequent buyer of those.

Will report back on the rest of the stuff on the next few days, thanks so much for sending me the box to try!

Q1 What was your overall first impressions of the selection of foods that Organix has just launched? Was it what you were expecting? If not how was it different?
I was impressed with the different types of food, and the size of the hamper sent. I?m not sure what I was expecting but it definitely had more variety. I have used some of the organix products before.

Q2 Did any of the foods you received stand out as very new and different to what other toddler food is out there? Why do you say that?
I was especially impressed with the soups (and loved the fact the pot is resealable and therefore reusable!). I hadn?t used the ready meals before and karate baby enjoyed them, although as he usually feeds himself they were a bit messy then a fair bit of the food he has. The cereal bars and fruit purees were something we?ve had before, and we love the purees, but Karate baby can be a bit funny with the cereal bars, sometime he wont touch them, other times he finishes them off (although I find them rather sweet)

Q3 In general, when do you think you'd buy these foods again - can you think of specific occasions when they?d really help you?
I?d buy the ready meals, and soup again, as it fills a gap if we are eating out, or sending him to the grandparents. The squeezy fruit tubes were good, but he ended up with flakes of silver all over him from messing around with the packing too much. I am sure it?s not poisonous, but id rather the packaging didn?t flake all over him!! The fruit pouches were good and we?d get those for outings. The cereal was good, but normal cereal is much better value.

Q4 Did you / your partner try any of the foods yourself, if so what did you think of them?
We tried almost all of it!! The ready meals were tasty and so were the soups. The cereal bars I found too sweet, the fruit purees were nice.

Q5 What did you think of the value for money for the items?
I think that baby food products generally are overpriced, but appreciate that there is a niche market for goods that contain no salt. Compared with other products they are priced in a similar way.

Q6 And last, but importantly, what did your little one think of the foods? Were there any firm favourites that you will look to purchase in the future, and if so why?
Karate baby is a good eater and this range was no exception. I like him to feed himself and he enjoyed the fruit purees and the squeezy tubes. The ready meals went down well and we?ll look out for those and the soups in future. There only thing I wouldn?t buy again is the cereal as it seems over priced for such a small amount, and we get adult cereal which is much better value.

Thank you so much Mumsnet and Organix for the opportunity for us to try the new foods. I tested the goodies with DD (2) and unofficially DS (5).

Q1 What was your overall first impressions of the selection of foods that Organix has just launched? Was it what you were expecting? If not how was it different?
The Mighty Meals are similar to what is already on the market, but seemed better. Most others are still quite babyish in their textures whereas the Organix ones are more like small home made chunks. The soups are a great idea - not any other toddler-aimed ones out there. The cereal & snacks were pretty good too. All of the food was pretty much what I expected, based on the descriptions given.

Q2 Did any of the foods you received stand out as very new and different to what other toddler food is out there? Why do you say that?
Again, the soups are novel - I think other manufacturers are going to jump on that quite quickly. The fruit squeezy tubes are similar to Frubes, but obviously dont need to be chilled. The other foods seem to be variations on what is already out there from Organix and other brands.

Q3 In general, when do you think you'd buy these foods again - can you think of specific occasions when they?d really help you?
I may buy the soups in winter for a quick & easy hot lunch for DCs. I would possibly buy the squeezy tubes & squeezies again, again as a quick healthy snack, both DCs are good fruit eaters though, so the products would be more of a treat.

Q4 Did you / your partner try any of the foods yourself, if so what did you think of them?
DH & I have tried all of the food used so far (only the noodle soup left). I thought the Mighty Meals were very bland and had an odd taste to them, but I think its because there is no salt in them. They also smelled a wee bit nasty when opened. The bean soup was yummy, as were all the other things except the Gummies. The gummies were vile!

Q5 What did you think of the value for money for the items?
As an occasional purchase, they would be fine. We couldn't afford to buy these things every week. The oaty bars in particular are very expensive - last year (or over the last 18 months or so), they have increased in price by approx £1. We used to buy these (obviously the 'old' flavours) for DS, but stopped because of the price. Most supermarkets do their own versions of the squeezies, but at a lower price.

Q6 And last, but importantly, what did your little one think of the foods? Were there any firm favourites that you will look to purchase in the future, and if so why?
DD (the official tester) is very fussy (fruit, yogurt, cheese, beans, chips & toast is all she will eat), so we were hopeful. Sadly, she did not like the Mighty Meals or the bean soup. However, I don't think that is a reflection of how they taste, as DS (5) hoovered them up and declared them 'delicimous'.
The cereal was not a hit with either of them, but they are used to Cheerios, Rice Krispie shapes and other childrens cereal, so I think they found it a bit bland. It made nice chocolate crispie cakes though.
The gummies got spat out, again my two get ordinary sweets, so the less sweet taste may not have agreed.
The Mango & Apple squeezies and the Strawberry & Pear squeezy tubes were an absolutely HUGE hit. DD couldn't get enough of them, and DS managed to sneak a wee taste too and loved them. I think we will probably buy these more often than any of the other things, especially for our summer holidays.
The oaty bars weren't a hit with DD (she isn't keen on similar textured things to these), but DS was very glad to see them again! He thought both new flavours were fantastic. Again, we will probably buy these as a treat over our holidays.

Q1 The selection of products was just what I was hoping for - a great first impression. I was especially looking forward to testing the gummies and the cereal.

Q2 The gummies stood out as none of the other 'big brands' of organic baby foods produce anything similar. The same applied to the squeezy tubes. I've seen these in the cold aisle as yoghurt products (made by other brands) but not with pureed fruit.

Q3 I'd buy the gummies - they'd make a nice change to raisins, when out and about. They're fruity and healthy yet seem a bit like sweets, so they could also be used as a treat.

Q4 I tried most of the foods. I thought the gummies were delicious and could have happily eaten the whole packet! I found the cereal quite disappointing, my baby liked it though. I found the packaging misleading as I found it leads one to believe that it might contain freeze dried raspberries. The whole fruitiness seemed to be a big picture but the actual ingredients listed just 2% of raspberry powder. I thought the squeezies and squeezy tubes had a good, genuine fruity flavour. I found the soup a little bland.

Q5 I thought that all of the products were priced appropriately, in line with other brands of a similar quality.

Q6

Cereal - he enjoyed these and likes them as a dry snack, too.

Squeezy tubes - he'd never had anything in this sort of packaging before so he squeezed the first half over himself with an impressive whoosh, after which he got the hang of it and loved it. I also gave a friend one to try. Her DS was keen to chew the tube rather than its contents and worryingly all of the paint/coating came off in his mouth.

Squeezies (mango and apple) - he really enjoys sucking these from the pouch. They're just the right size for a snack.

Strawberry and apple bar, which he chomped through in its entirety.

Gummies - loved these, wanting "ma, ma" (more!)

Soup and mighty meals - unfortunately he didn't enjoy either of these. With regards to savoury ready meals, he really only seems to like fresh ones (like Little dish). On a second try of the mighty meal I added some peas but he just wanted to pick these out and eat them and not the rest of the meal.

I was so happy to get the chance to be a tester and love that these new products have been made. Thank you!

Q1 It was a generous selection, pretty much the type of thing I was expecting but more of it than I thought would be sent.

Q2 The soups as I haven't seen any soups for younger ages here - I did buy some from another range a few years ago for DS1 when we lived abroad so was looking for them here but haven't found them to be available at all before these. Also the cereal was unusual, it being a novelty/educational shape rather than just a bland version of cereals for grown ups. The fruit sticks & buttons were also different - seen them before as snacks for school age children but not for younger children.

Q3 I would buy the buttons & fruit sticks again, so that DS2 can have them as a treat when DS1 has something similar rather than having to modify something to make it suitable. Also the ready meals - I would keep a couple on hand for taking out if we're going out on a day trip or in the week just for a change.

Q4 I just had tastes of the ready meals, which I thought were reasonable. I was more impressed with the look & texture as they looked very close to home-made.

Q5 A little pricey for everyday or very frequent use, apart from the multipacks but fine for occasional use. I would probably get at least one thing from the range with every weekly shop.

Q6 DS2 loved it all but he is bit of a dustbin & will eat most things! He particularly liked the dumplings in the ready meal as he could pick those up & eat himself, also the kidney beans as they were whole (but soft enough to break up once in his mouth). I would also get the fruit sticks in the summer to keep in the freezer as ice pops - a nice size for this & I found them to be a bit too messy unfrozen compared to the pouches.

Not a tester, but do use and love the Organix range. I used to use tem with ds1, 8 years ago. Now that ds2 has come along I am really peased to find the range has grown. Today we tried the corn snacks that look like giant whotsits. Ds2 loved them. He is only 7 mo but he could grab the snack, get it into his mouth, it had an unusual crunchy texture and melted to nothing's so I wasn't worried about him choking.....the perfect snack, so thank you!
