The folks at Incahoot.com are looking for 100 UK based Mumsnetters to try out their new Incahoot PLUS money saving scheme for one month and to give their feedback on MN. Here's what Incahoot say about the new service: "Here at Incahoot we have listened to what our members want and have launched Incahoot PLUS. This scheme gives you access to a fantastic range of offers which will save you money (up to £1000 a year!) on everyday shopping like Supermarkets, Clothes, Travel, Electricals and Entertainment".

Incahoot want 100 UK Mumsnetters to try the service for one month and leave feedback on their experiences twice during the course of the month. Each tester will be given a year's membership to Incahoot PLUS (worth £29.99) and will be able to keep this membership for the rest of the year once the month's trial is over. At the end of the year testers will be contacted by Incahoot to see if they wish to resubscribe - this will not happen automatically.

Once you are registered with Incahoot you will need to use your credit/debit card to top up the reloadable card and to receive the cashback in your account. These bank details are held on a third party's secure platform and Incahoot will not have access to them.

If you would like to take part please sign up here.
We will email those selected with the sign up details and a link to the feedback thread.

All those who are selected and add their feedback twice during the month's trial will be entered into a prize draw where one winner will receive a £250 Amazon voucher.

Please note, you may receive monthly newsletters from Incahoot as result of signing up, but you can unsubscribe from these emails at any time.

Thanks and good luck with the prize draw!

All done.

Does the crossing out system work in the PickMePickMe box?

Firawla · 14/05/2012 10:35

signed up, although from looking at the incahoot site it looks quite confusing or is that just me Confused

FartBlossom · 14/05/2012 11:35

Can someone explain to me in simple terms what exactly it is? Do you have to have a good credit rating? Do you have to have lots of money? Sorry, but I dont really get what they are. Should I sign up to take part?

fecking nora
have read again
dont think i am so keen - im putitng money on a card?

what?

DaisyMaisyJessicaEmily · 14/05/2012 11:45

Isn't it essentially a Quidco type thing, but you have to pay for it when Quidco etc are free?

DaisyMaisyJessicaEmily · 14/05/2012 11:46

or is it a credit card? Confused their website isn't really clear on what it actually is

JaxTellerIsMyFriend · 14/05/2012 11:46

done, also no clue, but happy to learn...

FartBlossom · 14/05/2012 11:48

Ive signed up, but if Im chosen and I have to pay anything then Im not doing it. Same if Ive got to have a good credit rating as mine is poor (something which Id like to get right, but don't trust myself to do so)

Avver · 14/05/2012 12:01

am assuming it's based on co-buying? I'm up for that. will sign up when i'm not feeding a 3 week old and wrangling a toddler..

TequilaMockinBird · 14/05/2012 12:19

I'd sign up but I don't understand either Blush

Can MNHQ please explain in laymans terms? Blush

ScorpionQueen · 14/05/2012 12:56

I thought it would be like Quidco with extra tips to save money, but it looks like it's aimed at people who are spending, not trying their hardest not too. I'd try it out and hope to be proved wrong though. I just want the Amazon voucher. :)

CointreauVersial · 14/05/2012 12:59

I'm assuming it's a Quidco type thing, but I would hope the discounts/cashbacks are better seeing as you have to pay for it.

Anyway, I'm in! Always up for money-saving.

TheRhubarb · 14/05/2012 13:02

Right, so certain stores (like Sainsbury's and B&Q) give members discounts. Although the discounts are pretty marginal, like 5% and it doesn't state if these discounts are also available on already discounted items.

I'm not signing up as I want to save, not spend. I reckon you could do better just by going for supermarket's own deals rather than through this scheme.

That sounds too complicated for me and something I'm likely to forget to cancel. Can MNHQ give us some clarification as to what's involved please?

TequilaMockinBird · 14/05/2012 14:13

So you have to put money in that you then spend with discount?

Sounds a bit weird to me, I don't fancy giving them some money that I can then use to buy from other companies. They'll make a fortune in interest if 100 people do that!

FartBlossom · 14/05/2012 14:17

I thought I read it that you pay an annual fee (but with this product test it would be free for a month) and you got exclusive vouchers. If I am going to be spending money anyway a voucher would be nice, but Im not interested if I have to pay anything upfront. Sounds very complicated. Will see how it works out I suppose.

HateBeingCantDoUpMyJeans · 14/05/2012 16:18

MNHQ can you explain these fees and how much it is likely to cost us to actually use tge service?

TheRhubarb · 14/05/2012 16:26

What a rip off!

fuzzpig · 14/05/2012 16:27

I have no idea what I just signed up to!
