We are working with M&S over the next couple of months or so, to find out what you think about three of M&S's key ranges:

~ shapewear
~ kidswear
~ Simply Fuller Longer (this is only available in store - see store locator for your nearest store)

M&S have asked us to recruit a panel of MNers to take part in product tests and give their feedback. Panellists will be given M&S vouchers to spend on shapewear or Simply Fuller Longer, and asked to take part in a discussion about kidswear, which all MNers will be able to take part in. There will be a prize draw for every project.

This is open to all UK MNers who have at least one child. It doesn't matter if you currently buy M&S products or not, they are looking for both buyers and non-buyers. If you sign up and indicate that you'd like to take part in the Simply Fuller Longer product test, then please note that you will need to be within easy reach of an M&S store as the vouchers for this can't be redeemed online.

If you haven't yet visited the M&S pages on Mumsnet, please do check them out here.

If you're interested in taking part please add your details here.

Thanks and good luck

No gift card here yet (Shapewear) - has everyone else got theirs then?

PrincessPinotPartyPants · 01/06/2012 09:22

I've had mine and am ready to review.

FloreatCJCRegina · 01/06/2012 09:41

I never thought it would come to writing a post such as this on the internet, y'know, for everyone to see, but:

Today I am wearing my light control high rise shorts.

They are brilliant Grin. They're soft cotton, so really comfy, but still manage to Hold Everything In a bit. And they're not shiny and slippy, which is usually the downside of control pants.

Will definitely stick with these, and probably buy more. Tomorrow I shall try the waist cincher.

SuePBlovesaDiamondJubilee · 01/06/2012 09:45

I am pondering those shorts but they don't look very high rise - on the pic they're inches below her bully button. Are they like that on?

FloreatCJCRegina · 01/06/2012 09:48

No, they're like proper shorts pants, iyswim. No muffin top (well, only a little bit because I is HUGE at the moment Blush) and definitely above belly button.

Do it, Sue, you know you want to. And you're worth it.

BiscuitNibbler · 01/06/2012 09:52

I see they've got free delivery this weekend for purchases over £30 - too late for me but maybe someone can make use of it.

SuePBlovesaDiamondJubilee · 01/06/2012 09:57

I AM

Thank you. Still adding up me sums.

Greenshadow · 01/06/2012 13:22

Took advantage of free delivery (saved £3.50) and Lingerie offer (saved £5) so could afford to buy the following

Black waist sculpt knickers

White light control clincher
and
High Rise Shorts 2-pack

Despite the Bank Holidays, it said they should arrive by Wed 6th June.

KatieScarlett2833 · 01/06/2012 15:47

Got my shapewear pants on, have been wearing them all day.

I have to say, they are fab. Just like normal knickers except they hold it all in with no sweatiness.

PuzzleRocks · 01/06/2012 16:02

Are we adding feedback here or will there be a separate thread?

KatieScarlett2833 · 01/06/2012 16:04

I hope tech can do a C&P job if there is going to be a new thread.

Raahh · 01/06/2012 16:08

I have been wearing a pair of the knickers i bought, they are quite light support, so not muffin top, and very comfy. They are also a nice lilac colour, so don't look 'shapewear'-esque, (I'm not just wearing my pantsGrin though.)

I need an opportunity to wear the waist cincher- isn't really needed under my baggy t-shirt and jeans, but will try it over the weekednd with a more fitted top. I have tried high waist pants before, and they tend to 'roll' at the top- I'm hoping the separate pants/cincher combo won't do that.

KatieScarlett2833 · 02/06/2012 09:58

Wore the waist cincing bandeau body last night to a party. Looked good on, uplifted what needed to be uplifted and flattened what needed to be flattened.

However, the crotch popper/gusset was uncomfortable. It felt like someone had left a label attached there, irritating. Also the section at the back where the bra strap met the body dug into me all night. I was glad to get home and take it off.

smokinaces · 02/06/2012 16:02

Mine all came. Had a quick try on and all fit. Changed into the firm control cotton pants. Have gardened in them, had lunch and a doze on the sofa. They are good, but I am struggling with the length of them - they sit in a real awkward place so roll slightly and give me a slight muffin top which is annoying. Will try a different pair when out tonight at a bbq.

Solo · 02/06/2012 17:54

Well, I gave up waiting for a restock of my size in what I did want and ordered other items also taking advantage of the free delivery and the LINGERIE!!! code.... thank you to my M&S :)

Olympia2012 · 02/06/2012 18:54

So far I have tried the light control shorts.... Not too keen, the legs rolled up. Wore them under jeans so will try again with something else

smokinaces · 02/06/2012 21:34

The light control cotton pants are good. Not much bigger in size than my normal.m&s pants but definite tummy tone. Wore them under jeans and so far so good

FloreatCJCRegina · 05/06/2012 22:01

Just checking in again to say I love the light control shorts/pants. I'm going to buy some more because I could easily wear them every day. They're incredibly comfortable but have enough control to make me feel 'pulled in' and a bit thinner Grin

Haven't worn the waist cincher yet. I have to admit I'm slightly afraid of it Hmm

smokinaces · 05/06/2012 22:08

The shorts just come up a bit high on me Floreat - where do they sit on you? They sit just above my belly button so roll a fair bit, wonder if the 12-14 is a touch big. The size 12 light control pants are great, fit well, as do the size 12 light control lacy shorts.

They are all definitely high waisted though, you have to wear a long top even with higher waisted jeans.

They seem to do a good job though. Ive worn mine constantly since I got them Saturday and have felt slimmer and tidier in everything Ive worn. I honestly think I will be a convert.

cocolepew · 05/06/2012 22:12

I got the light control pants and they are excellent. I thought the shorts waist band rolled over but just a bit as its a small waist band. have some fancy lace ones to try still.

Very impressed so far.

cocolepew · 05/06/2012 22:13

No VPL at all.

My bum looked smooth and round!

FartBlossom · 05/06/2012 22:13

Are we having a review thread for the shapewear? Ive seen the food one, but not the shapewear one.

Olympia2012 · 05/06/2012 22:15

Think I should have bought smaller sizes

HoneyDragonWearingLederhosen · 05/06/2012 22:16

I am very pleased, I got two vests and two brazil lion light control briefs. Although the pants tend to migrate slightly. Looking forward to s proper thread.

smokinaces · 05/06/2012 23:15

Mmmmmm. Just Hung my washing out and saw a size 14 in one of my pairs of pants. Seems one of my two pack is a 12, the other a 14. Whilst this has meant I can try both sizes, its not too great tbh packager wise - and having now worn the briefs and indeed washed them its too late to do anything. Luckily the size difference between the 12 and 14 seems minimal - though it explains why the firm.control 14 felt little different to the light control 12. At least I have a pair for if I ever go out for a large meal now!! Will try the twelves in the firm control tomorrow....
