NOW CLOSED: Tesco’s Naturally Powered (antibacterial spray or non-bio washing powder) product testers review thread

AnnMumsnet · 01/05/2012 14:54

This thread is for the 1000 Mumsnetters who are trying out the Naturally Powered range of cleaning products by Tesco.

If you don't know about these products, here's what Tesco has to say:

"In the past, green cleaning products have been let down by their performance. Working closely with a team of chemists, scientists and environmental experts, we have created the Naturally Powered range of eco cleaning products - specially formulated to have a reduced impact on the environment than other leading products and with the cleaning performance you'd expect."

Mumsnetters have been testing either the antibacterial spray or the non-bio washing powder. In addition, all testers received a trial-sized sachet of washing up liquid.

If you are a tester, please state which product you were testing and answer the questions below - feel free to also add any other comments you may have.

Everyone who adds their comments to this thread will be entered into a prize draw, where one person will win £200 of Tesco vouchers.

Questions:

Q1. What was your opinion of the Naturally Powered products before using them?

Q2. After using the products, what was your over all opinion? Did the products work? Were you happy with the performance? Did you like the smell and feel of the products?

Q3. How did the products compare to your usual cleaning products? Did it work just as well, better or worse than the products you usually use?

Q4. How important are the green credentials of the Naturally Powered range to you? Would this affect your decision to buy? If so, why? If not, why not?

Q5. Will you continue to buy the Tesco Naturally Powered range? If so, why? If not why not?

Q6. What, if any, improvements would you make to the Naturally Powered products you were testing?

Q7. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend the products to a friend? If so, why? If not, why not?

Thanks and good luck with the prize draw!

I agree about it being faffy to get the last bit out of the box. It's pretty annoying.

Anti bac spray
Q1. What was your opinion of the Naturally Powered products before using them?
Hadn't really seen them.

Q2. After using the products, what was your over all opinion? Did the products work? Were you happy with the performance? Did you like the smell and feel of the products?
It worked fine. Smelled quite nice and cleaned the table and units effectively,

Q3. How did the products compare to your usual cleaning products? Did it work just as well, better or worse than the products you usually use?
Worked as well as any others I have used. Muchnicer than my most recent one which was very orange

Q4. How important are the green credentials of the Naturally Powered range to you? Would this affect your decision to buy? If so, why? If not, why not?
Doesn't make a huge diference to me.

Q5. Will you continue to buy the Tesco Naturally Powered range? If so, why? If not why not?
Possibly, depends on prices

Q6. What, if any, improvements would you make to the Naturally Powered products you were testing?
Not really
Q7. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend the products to a friend? If so, why? If not, why not?
Possibly!

katiesobol · 11/05/2012 23:00

I tried the antibacterial spray

Q1. What was your opinion of the Naturally Powered products before using them? To be honest, I hadn't really noticed them.

Q2. After using the products, what was your over all opinion? Did the products work? Were you happy with the performance? Did you like the smell and feel of the products? I liked the product - it seemed to perform as well as other similar products that don't make any effort to be greener.

Q3. How did the products compare to your usual cleaning products? Did it work just as well, better or worse than the products you usually use? Pretty much just as well - It cleaned my surfaces well and was fresh and clean.

Q4. How important are the green credentials of the Naturally Powered range to you? Would this affect your decision to buy? If so, why? If not, why not? I know that it isn't entirely natural, but it takes a step in the right direction, which does make a difference. A greener cleaner, that still cleans - it gets my vote!

Q5. Will you continue to buy the Tesco Naturally Powered range? If so, why? If not why not? If it is a simliar price to other similar products, I wouldn't hesitate. Even a little more expensive, I would still buy it.

Q6. What, if any, improvements would you make to the Naturally Powered products you were testing? Not really, perhaps the scent could be improved a little.

Q7. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend the products to a friend? If so, why? If not, why not? Yes I would, for all of the reasons above. A good quality antibacterial spray, which is greener than other mainstream products.

meep · 12/05/2012 07:01

Q1. What was your opinion of the Naturally Powered products before using them?
I's seen it before and already had some fabric softener. No real opinion - just hoped it would not make my skin itch!

Q2. After using the products, what was your over all opinion? Did the products work? Were you happy with the performance? Did you like the smell and feel of the products?
cleaned well. It didn't seem to make my skin itch. Definitely better than the normal Tesco non-bio which even made my dh's skin itch! I like the smell - as I don't like no smell - it definitely wasn't as strong as other products which is good.

Q3. How did the products compare to your usual cleaning products? Did it work just as well, better or worse than the products you usually use?
seemed to work just as well
There was also a sample of washing up liquid - I tried it (with no gloves on) and my hands did not react like they do to Fairy!

Q4. How important are the green credentials of the Naturally Powered range to you? Would this affect your decision to buy? If so, why? If not, why not?
yes it is important - green makes make think it will be kinder to sensitive skins - I may be wrong - but that is what draws me in

Q5. Will you continue to buy the Tesco Naturally Powered range? If so, why? If not why not?

  • yes - I bought before when it was on special offer - but will need to see what the full price is

Q6. What, if any, improvements would you make to the Naturally Powered products you were testing?

  • was the bag in the box just for the sample? There would be no real need for it - less packaging always better

Q7. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend the products to a friend? If so, why? If not, why not?

  • I would have no reason not to
LottieJenkins · 12/05/2012 07:52
  1. Hadnt heard of it before.

  4. The green credentials are neither here nor there for me, it wouldnt affect my decision as i buy what i consider to be the best deal at the time.
  5. If it is on offer.
  6. Make the bottle stronger, specially the spray gun!
  7. Possibly.
ohmeohmy · 12/05/2012 08:13

1 had not heArd of it before
2 had the spray. It worked fine. Smell was ok but prefer things less scented
3 seemed the same as usual
4 green credentials are important, but so are the credentials of the company as a whole where telco leaves a lot to be desired
5 might buy if on offer
6
7 have more interesting things to talk about

landofsoapandglory · 12/05/2012 08:38

Q1. What was your opinion of the Naturally Powered products before using them?
I didn't have an opinion of them as I wasn't really aware of the availability of them.

Q2. After using the products, what was your over all opinion? Did the products work? Were you happy with the performance? Did you like the smell and feel of the products?
I think the product was excellent. It works well, has very little smell compared to traditional anti-bac spray.

Q3. How did the products compare to your usual cleaning products? Did it work just as well, better or worse than the products you usually use?
It is just as good as my normal cleaning products.

Q4. How important are the green credentials of the Naturally Powered range to you? Would this affect your decision to buy? If so, why? If not, why not?
When I buy anti-bac spray I don't really think of the green credentials, I just want it to kill germs, TBH.

Q5. Will you continue to buy the Tesco Naturally Powered range? If so, why? If not why not?
Yes I will coninue to buy the Naturally Powered Range. I prefer it because of the fact it has hardly any smell which is so much better for us as a family as smelly cleaning products can trigger my migraines and make DS2 wheezy!

Q6. What, if any, improvements would you make to the Naturally Powered products you were testing? None

Q7. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend the products to a friend? If so, why? If not, why not?
Yes I would.

Dylthan · 12/05/2012 09:19

I tested the washing up powder

Q1. What was your opinion of the Naturally Powered products before using them?
I had not seen them before.

Q2. After using the products, what was your over all opinion? Did the products work? Were you happy with the performance? Did you like the smell and feel of the products?
The smell was lovely. The biggest test for me was how well they would clean dd's nappies and it worked very well so overall I was happy with the washing powders performance.
The only criticism I have is that there was always big lumps of powder left over in the drawer after the wash had finished.

Q3. How did the products compare to your usual cleaning products? Did it work just as well, better or worse than the products you usually use? I would say it worked just as well and for cleaning dd's nappies it actually worked better than when I use my usual eco washing powder which bubbles up out of the soap drawer when I put a hot wash on.

Q4. How important are the green credentials of the Naturally Powered range to you? Would this affect your decision to buy? If so, why? If not, why not?
It is a nice bonus but not that important to me at the moment. The biggest reason I choose my washing powders is based on price.

Q5. Will you continue to buy the Tesco Naturally Powered range? If so, why? If not why not?
Probably not having to wash out the sticky lumps of un dissolved powder out of the soap drawer after every wash was very annoying.

Q6. What, if any, improvements would you make to the Naturally Powered products you were testing?
Have the powder dissolve better.

Q7. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend the products to a friend? If so, why?If not, why not?
No because I do not think there was anything spectacular about it worthy of a recommendation.

scrivette · 12/05/2012 12:02

I tried the washing powder.

Q1. What was your opinion of the Naturally Powered products before using them?

I wasnt aware of them before.

Q2. After using the products, what was your over all opinion? Did the products work? Were you happy with the performance? Did you like the smell and feel of the products?

I liked the smell of the products in the box, but the clothes didnt smell of the powder which was a shame.
The products worked on the baby clothes and my dark washing, but didnt seem as effective on the stains on the teatowles as my usual powder during a 50degree wash.
I liked the measuring cup that came in the box. I wondered if the plastic bag inside the box was required as my usual powder does not have it in the bag.

Q3. How did the products compare to your usual cleaning products? Did it work just as well, better or worse than the products you usually use?

For the usual washes the powder worked the same as my usual products.

Q4. How important are the green credentials of the Naturally Powered range to you? Would this affect your decision to buy? If so, why? If not, why not?

I would like to buy more natural products, however, it would depend on the price of the products.

Q5. Will you continue to buy the Tesco Naturally Powered range? If so, why? If not why not?

If the product is reasonably priced or on special offer then I would purchase it.

Q6. What, if any, improvements would you make to the Naturally Powered products you were testing?

I would like the smell to remain slightly on the clothes, however, if I used the matching fabric conditioner then this may resolve the issue.

Q7. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend the products to a friend? If so, why? If not, why not?

I would reccomend it as being a product that washes effectivly, but I would not go out of my way to reccomend it as an excellent product that I was delighted with.

WhenDoISleep · 12/05/2012 13:18

Tested the antibacterial spray and washing up liquid.

Q1. What was your opinion of the Naturally Powered products before using them?

Was not aware of the range, so had no preconceived opinion.

Q2. After using the products, what was your over all opinion? Did the products work? Were you happy with the performance? Did you like the smell and feel of the products?

Over all opinion is that it is a good product. It cleaned well on a number of different surfaces. The smell is pleasant.

Q3. How did the products compare to your usual cleaning products? Did it work just as well, better or worse than the products you usually use?

It compares well and I would say that it is just as good as our regular anti-bac of choice.

Q4. How important are the green credentials of the Naturally Powered range to you? Would this affect your decision to buy? If so, why? If not, why not?

Eco products are important for us to consider when making buying choices but other factors such as price/quantity come inti play as well.

Q5. Will you continue to buy the Tesco Naturally Powered range? If so, why? If not why not?

I currently don't shop regularly in Tesco, but next time I do go, if I need anti-bac spray I would certainly buy the Naturally Powered spray. I would also consider purchasing other products in the range if competitively priced.

Q6. What, if any, improvements would you make to the Naturally Powered products you were testing?

One slight tweak might be to look at the lock on the spray - the bottle we got had leaked somewhat. Fine when it is a bag and alone, but I would be annoyed if it leaked all over a weekly shop.

Q7. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend the products to a friend? If so, why? If not, why not?

Yes I would recommend the product if it came up in conversation, but cleaning products are not generally a big topic!

tettoni · 12/05/2012 13:52

I tested the washing powder and posted my answers a few pages back. I just wanted to add that I've since discovered a bit of build-up in the powder drawer after a wash. I tried a different powder (Tesco's tablet things) to see whether it was just my machine but it isn't, so I suspect it's an issue with the powder.

Otherwise very happy and I do feel extra smug washing my reusable nappies with the powder Wink

garlicbutty · 12/05/2012 14:16

Thank you for the Naturally Powered Anti-bacterial Multi-surface spray.

Q1. What was your opinion of the Naturally Powered products before using them?
-> I didn't know about them.

Q2. After using the products, what was your over all opinion? Did the products work? Were you happy with the performance? Did you like the smell and feel of the products?
-> I gave the spray a challenging test: my fridge's accumulation of more than one year's crud Blush It worked well. I had to rub a bit, then all the crud came off.
-> It smells like 'cleaner'! Slightly lemony, slightly antiseptic. Good.

Q3. How did the products compare to your usual cleaning products? Did it work just as well, better or worse than the products you usually use?
-> I think it's as good as ordinary anti-bac cleaning spray, better than some. However, it's not as good as OzKleen (see below).

Q4. How important are the green credentials of the Naturally Powered range to you? Would this affect your decision to buy? If so, why? If not, why not?
-> Green credentials are important to me because I try not to add to the environmental load of chemical biocides.
-> It's being sold as "more natural" than ordinary products, not "natural". The label text implies it's eco-friendly because you need to use less! That's not massively natural in my opinion. I can use less by applying any product with microfibre cloths.
-> It contains chemical biocides: Didecyl Dimethyl Ammonium Chloride; Chlorhexidine; Benzalkonium chloride. These are less toxic than chlorine (they're used in cosmetics, eye drops, etc) but aren't actually natural.
-> This affects my decision to buy. I can get a more natural, more efficient cleaner from OzKleen.

Q5. Will you continue to buy the Tesco Naturally Powered range? If so, why? If not why not?
-> Unlikely. It's not naturally powered, just less toxic. Tesco sells OzKleen.

Q6. What, if any, improvements would you make to the Naturally Powered products you were testing?
-> The product itself is good! I'd want to change the name so as to stress it's efficiency, ease of use (no rising) and low toxicity.

Q7. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend the products to a friend? If so, why? If not, why not?
-> I would if they were concerned about allergic reactions to ordinary cleaners. Otherwise, no, it's not different enough. Smells nice, though :)

spartafc · 12/05/2012 17:43

Q1. What was your opinion of the Naturally Powered products before using them? I hadn't seen the products before.

Q2. After using the products, what was your over all opinion? Did the products work? Were you happy with the performance? Did you like the smell and feel of the products? The spray worked, it cleaned up even dried up food. I liked the smell and I liked that it didn't smear. I wasn't pleased that the bottle was quite flimsy and that the liquid came out through the nozzle every time any pressure was put on the bottle.

Q3. How did the products compare to your usual cleaning products? Did it work just as well, better or worse than the products you usually use? I would say it worked just as well as other products I have used, not worse or better.

Q4. How important are the green credentials of the Naturally Powered range to you? Would this affect your decision to buy? If so, why? If not, why not? The green credentials would have no influence over my decision to buy. It's not something I consider with cleaning products.

Q5. Will you continue to buy the Tesco Naturally Powered range? If so, why? If not why not?
I would buy it if the bottle design improves.
Q6. What, if any, improvements would you make to the Naturally Powered products you were testing? I would like the quality of the packaging to be improved

Q7. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend the products to a friend? If so, why? If not, why not? Yes, I'd say I've used it and it was effective, but to watch out for the flimsy bottle.

crickmel · 12/05/2012 20:54

Thanks for choosing me to be a tester. I tested the washing powder.

Q1. What was your opinion of the Naturally Powered products before using them?

I hadn't heard of them sorry.

Q2. After using the products, what was your over all opinion? Did the products work? Were you happy with the performance? Did you like the smell and feel of the products?

Overall, I liked the soap powder. Clothes washed well even with the minimum qty of powder and at 40 degrees. It smelt nice but not overbearing like some which suggests it will be kind on the skin.

Q3. How did the products compare to your usual cleaning products? Did it work just as well, better or worse than the products you usually use?

Just as well as my usual - Fairy non-bio liquid. Although not being able to use it on wool means I wouldn't choose it over Fairy.

Q4. How important are the green credentials of the Naturally Powered range to you? Would this affect your decision to buy? If so, why? If not, why not?

They are important and if the price was there or there abouts I would buy.

Q5. Will you continue to buy the Tesco Naturally Powered range? If so, why? If not why not?

Probably not due to the inconvenience of not being able to use it on wool. I would likely forget and wreck my clothes! However, I would use the washing up liquid as that worked well, smelt nice and has the bonus of being natural.

Q6. What, if any, improvements would you make to the Naturally Powered products you were testing?

So you can use it on all fabrics.

Q7. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend the products to a friend? If so, why? If not, why not?

Yes if they were having a conversation about naturally powered/green cleaners.

clairefromsteps · 12/05/2012 21:08

I used the non-bio powder.....

Q1. What was your opinion of the Naturally Powered products before using them?

I'd never heard of them.

Q2. After using the products, what was your over all opinion? Did the products work? Were you happy with the performance? Did you like the smell and feel of the products?

They smelled nice, they seemed to get everything clean, so yes, I thought it wasn't bad.

Q3. How did the products compare to your usual cleaning products? Did it work just as well, better or worse than the products you usually use?

It worked just as well as my normal brand (Persil)

Q4. How important are the green credentials of the Naturally Powered range to you? Would this affect your decision to buy? If so, why? If not, why not?

Fairly important - I'm looking to use more ecologically sound products.

Q5. Will you continue to buy the Tesco Naturally Powered range? If so, why? If not why not?

Unlikely - I don't shop at Tesco usually, and I wouldn't go out of my way to track it down.

Q6. What, if any, improvements would you make to the Naturally Powered products you were testing?

No improvements - I thought the non bio worked just fine.

Q7. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend the products to a friend? If so, why? If not, why not?

Maybe if it was on special offer or if my friend was looking for some 'green' products to switch to.

Doodlekitty · 12/05/2012 21:28

I have been testing the washing powder

Q1. What was your opinion of the Naturally Powered products before using them?
I had not noticed them.

Q2. After using the products, what was your over all opinion? Did the products work? Were you happy with the performance? Did you like the smell and feel of the products?
So far i love it. It works very well even at a low temp and the smell is divine.

Q3. How did the products compare to your usual cleaning products? Did it work just as well, better or worse than the products you usually use?
It worked just as well and I was pleased that it did not aggravate my excema. I usually use a liquitab, which I still prefer to powder

Q4. How important are the green credentials of the Naturally Powered range to you? Would this affect your decision to buy? If so, why? If not, why not?
The green credentials were my reason for trying this. I have never really paid attention to these things but am becoming more aware that changes need to be made. It would probably effect y decision to buy, but not as much as the price

Q5. Will you continue to buy the Tesco Naturally Powered range? If so, why? If not why not?
If the price is comparible to my usual powder, yes

Q6. What, if any, improvements would you make to the Naturally Powered products you were testing?
I prefer a liquitab for the convenience

Q7. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend the products to a friend? If so, why? If not, why not?
Yes, as i find it very difficult to find powder kind enough for my skin I would tell others

(I've name changed since the original sign up, hope this does not matter)

ObviouslyOblivious · 12/05/2012 22:31

I tested the spray.

Q1. What was your opinion of the Naturally Powered products before using them?

I had not heard of them.

Q2. After using the products, what was your over all opinion? Did the products work? Were you happy with the performance? Did you like the smell and feel of the products?

The spray cleaned well. I don't normally buy scented products but I found the spray's scent quite nice. However DP felt it smelt a bit too chemical. I find it interesting that the word Tesco is barely on the bottle. The bottle was a bit leaky from the spray nozzle.

Q3. How did the products compare to your usual cleaning products? Did it work just as well, better or worse than the products you usually use?

It worked just as well as the Waitrose Essentials spray that I normally used, and left a nicer smell too.

Q4. How important are the green credentials of the Naturally Powered range to you? Would this affect your decision to buy? If so, why? If not, why not?

I'm not certain what the product's green credentials are. I currently have to chose price rather ethics though, which is a shame.

Q5. Will you continue to buy the Tesco Naturally Powered range? If so, why? If not why not?

I don't shop in Tesco, but if I happened to be in there and in need of a cleaning spray I would buy it.

Q6. What, if any, improvements would you make to the Naturally Powered products you were testing?

I wasn't certain whether it was ok to use on DS's highchair tray, which he eats directly off. Other products mention highchairs specifically.

Q7. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend the products to a friend? If so, why? If not, why not?
I'd say that I had tried it and it worked well.

DioneTheDiabolist · 12/05/2012 22:44
  1. I had recently stopped using non bio washing powder as DS is getting dirtier and the cleaning power wasn't up to the job.
  1. The washing powder worked well at 40degrees. I really liked the smell.
  1. It worked just as well as bio washing powder and the smell was better.
  1. Where the quality and price is equal, I will always choose the "greener" option.
  1. I will happily use the washing powder, so long as the price is ok.
  1. I personally prefer to use a liquid in my machine, as my drawer can get gunky, but this is a sacrifice I'm willing to make.
  1. I would recommend it. It works, it's green and it smells great.
HazeltheMcWitch · 12/05/2012 23:08

Q1. What was your opinion of the Naturally Powered products before using them?

I'd heard about them in trade/marketing press, and knew that it was one of Tesco's own brands that they were trying to launch as a standalone. However, I don't always shop in Tesco and had not noticed the range in store when I was in there.

Q2. After using the products, what was your over all opinion? Did the products work? Were you happy with the performance? Did you like the smell and feel of the products?

I tested the Anti-Bac spray. I liked it, it seemed to 'do the job', and the smell was not over-powering. Also there was not that (very) slight wheeziness that I sometimes get with Cillit Bang, Mr Muscle and the like.

Q3. How did the products compare to your usual cleaning products? Did it work just as well, better or worse than the products you usually use?

I don't usually use Anti-Bac products, and am not really sure about them, tbh. So my comparison is to multi-surface sprays. I think it cleaned 'normal dirt' just as well. I did not try it on any heinously stained or filthy things!

Q4. How important are the green credentials of the Naturally Powered range to you? Would this affect your decision to buy? If so, why? If not, why not?

So here's the thing - the range does not make it that clear what exactly are its green credentials. Not on the pack, and not really on the website... The actual CLAIMS made were very limited, and this does annoy me. For example the website mentions that their products were essessed against certain criteria, but then only made claims against a few of them. So yes, of course I support the usage of sustainable palm oil and recycled materials, but I really want to know more about relative levels of water/soil pollution please Tesco!

Q5. Will you continue to buy the Tesco Naturally Powered range? If so, why? If not why not?

Maybe, not sure. I quite liked it and it's good to know that recycled mats were used, but I do smell a hint of greenwash. I'll probably try the multi-surface cleaner and then it will depend on promo offers!

Q6. What, if any, improvements would you make to the Naturally Powered products you were testing?

I'd like to think I'd be more overt with my claims, but working in marketing I can anticipate that really, I might not. I'd question whether an anti-bac spray sits within an eco range, but I guess anti-bac products must still sell by the bucket-load for it to exist. I'd provide refills: the website said that the trigger/spray and caps are currently not recycled, so surely best to promote limiting their use?

Q7. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend the products to a friend? If so, why? If not, why not?

I'd probably state the above. Good performing product but not convinced by claims.

HazeltheMcWitch · 12/05/2012 23:08

God, that was an essay - sorry!

Northerndweeb · 12/05/2012 23:49

We tested the spray.
Q1: I hadn't heard of them before so I had no preformed opinions
Q2: I thought the spray cleaned well but the bottle leaked and I thought the smell was quite chemically and strong
Q3: It cleaned as well as my normal product although I was quite overwhelmed by the smell
Q4: I'm not that clear of the green credentials of the product but in theory I would always choose the ethical option. In practice I tend to veer to what's on offer.
Q5: I have recently started shopping elsewhere but would consi the range if the price was right and I was in Tesco.
Q6: The smell; both myself and DH thought the product was quite chemically,he even commented on it - most unlike him!
Q7: It wouldn't, but I might!

garlicbutty · 12/05/2012 23:55

hazel - I do smell a hint of greenwash

We may be singing off the same (recycled) song sheet! Either it's green (it isn't) or it's less toxic (it is). I understand why you'd sell an imaginary advantage - but the product has enough real advantages; why not sell those?

Vagazzled · 13/05/2012 00:14

Q1. What was your opinion of the Naturally Powered products before using them?
Packaging looked good, fairly plain though.
Q2. After using the products, what was your over all opinion? Did the products work? Were you happy with the performance? Did you like the smell and feel of the products?
I loved the surface cleaner. It gave a fresh, clean smell that wasn't to chemically but you could definitely smell that I had cleaned!
Q3. How did the products compare to your usual cleaning products? Did it work just as well, better or worse than the products you usually use?
I would say it was very similar to my usual products. The scent was probably a little nicer to be honest. I found the washing up liquid dire BUT it was baking dishes and I would usually use 2-3 (half full) bowls of hot soapy water for these so 1 sachet didn't stretch very far.
Q4. How important are the green credentials of the Naturally Powered range to you? Would this affect your decision to buy? If so, why? If not, why not?
They're not if I'm honest. If this product was similarly priced to my usual brand, I'd probably buy this instead, try to up my green credentials a little.
Q5. Will you continue to buy the Tesco Naturally Powered range? If so, why? If not why not?
Definitely, if it's priced similar to my usual brands.

Jazzier packaging. My other half thought it was window cleaner Hmm
Q7. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend the products to a friend? If so, why? If not, why not?

I had no opinion, I'd never heard of them

Just as well

Q4. How important are the green credentials of the Naturally Powered range to you? Would this affect your decision to buy? If so, why? If not, why not?

Testing antibacterial spray.

Q1. What was your opinion of the Naturally Powered products before using them?

Had never heard of them.

Q2. After using the products, what was your over all opinion? Did the products work? Were you happy with the performance? Did you like the smell and feel of the products?

Works very well. Seems to make kitchen work tops and cabinet doors etc really squeaky clean. Also used it on a very grubby bit of kitchen floor and it worked well. Smell ok at first but got slightly overpowering. On the other hand, the spray top drips everywhere and the product really irritated my eczema so I had to wear gloves. Made me doubt the green credentials and made me check the claims on the packaging.

Q3. How did the products compare to your usual cleaning products? Did it work just as well, better or worse than the products you usually use?

I use ecover multi surface spray and flash for anything really dirty. It works as well as flash and a bit better than ecover.

Q4. How important are the green credentials of the Naturally Powered range to you? Would this affect your decision to buy? If so, why? If not, why not?

I like to use Eco friendly products. However I am not at all convinced this range of products falls into that category. I think 'naturally powered' is a bit meaningless tbh.

Q5. Will you continue to buy the Tesco Naturally Powered range? If so, why? If not why not?

No, i don't think so. I get refills for my various ecover products from local whole foods store and I prefer this way of buying. If I need a stronger cleaner I will go for something that doesn't irritate my skin so much.

Q6. What, if any, improvements would you make to the Naturally Powered products you were testing?

I would make it genuinely green and improve the packaging.

Q7. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend the products to a friend? If so, why? If not, why not?

V unlikely to come up in conversation! but I would say how effectively it worked.
