Rowse have asked us to find 50 Mumsnetters to try out their honey with their children and give us your feedback. They want to find out why mums do or don't buy honey and how they might include it in their family's everyday diet.

We're looking for testers who live in the UK and have at least one child over the age of 1 (honey isn't recommended for children under 1). For more information on Rowse honey, please visit their website here.

If selected you will be sent a 250g jar of Rowse honey to use in your family's day-to-day diet over the next couple of weeks. You'll then be asked to add your views on a thread on Mumsnet.

Everyone who tries the products and adds their feedback will be entered into a prize draw to win one of five hampers worth £100 each, kitted out with a lovely set of Rowse branded crockery and picnic blanket.

If you're interested in taking part and you meet the above criteria, please sign up here. We're looking to recruit all 50 testers by this Friday (12th Feb) so please sign up as soon as you can.

Thanks
MNHQ

Done - but I have one child and one 4mo baby, so I just ticked the 'one child' box so as not to confuse when I entered the age of my child. Does that make sense?

midnightexpress · 10/02/2011 13:58

Done

fingers crossed...

LawrieMarlow · 10/02/2011 14:07

Done. And agree about date confusion Grin

While we're on the subject of honey (or if anyone from Rowse is lurking) does anybody know how to speed up the process of getting the crunchy, crystalline effect that happens when runny honey has been sitting in the cupboard for months a while?

Set honey just isn't the same.....

Goober · 10/02/2011 14:14

Done.

LawrieMarlow · 10/02/2011 14:17

Ours goes crystalline much too quickly. Would you like to borrow our cupboard?

sunchild77 · 10/02/2011 14:31

I think its when its in a cold place for a while Cuppateaj

moonbells · 10/02/2011 14:46

Speed of crystallisation depends on the plants harvested, sugar content (and liquid content) of the nectar etc.

We often end up with local oilseed rape honey, which is so naturally solid you could bend a spoon. I prefer the runnier ones.

Have two honeymonsters in the house - one husband and one son - so hope I get picked!

choccyp1g · 10/02/2011 14:50

Done, really hope I get picked, as I love honey on toast.

welshandproud · 10/02/2011 15:46

yes please

NewGirlHelenMumsnet · 10/02/2011 16:22

CuppaTeaJanice - we put your question to Rowse who say "Putting honey in the fridge will speed up the appearance of crystals in runny honey"
