Firstly Asda have asked us to say - to those of you who were affected by a delay in receiving uniform: "We are extremely sorry about the delays some of you have been experiencing and we hope that the uniform is worth the wait". If you are still missing any items please can you email [email protected] and we will pass the details on to Asda asap

Good news:) Orginally we were going to ask for you to add three lots of feedback but due to the delays we're now only going to ask you to add feedback once. Everyone who adds their feedback on this thread will be entered into a prize draw where one winner will get a £200 Asda voucher.

Please answer the questions below. Do feel free to add other comments too.

Please state the age and gender of your child in replying and if possible the item you are referring to.

Q1 What were your first impressions of the uniform?
Q2 Did it fit your child? If applicable were you able to adjust it to fit your child?
Q3 What did your child think of their new uniform?
Q4 How do you feel the uniform is bearing up to washing?
Q5 How do you feel the uniform is bearing up to being worn? How would you rate the quality?
Q6 How would you rate the value for money of the uniform?
Q7 Would you buy uniform from Asda again? Would you recommend to someone else?
Q8 How would you say the Asda uniform compares to other supermarket uniforms?

Thanks
MNHQ

Did anything ever happen about the trousers which weren't adjustable? Am not expecting adjustable ones to ever appear, but would be nice if they did :)

If not I will stick to Sainsburys or M&S :)

ElizabethWakefield · 08/11/2010 19:42

I got polo shirts, green jumper (in a size too small) and grey culottes (also in a size too small) for my 10 year old DD

I was disappointed that 2 of the items i recieved were too small, I had asked for age 10, but was given age 9 and a note saying sorry this was the only size they had in that colour, but to let them know if i wanted another colour. DD's school only allows one colour of uniform, so I can only really answer on the polo shirts as these were all that fitted, sadly Sad

Q1 What were your first impressions of the uniform?

They looked fine and were pretty similar to other more expensive polo shirts we've bought in the past.

Q2 Did it fit your child? If applicable were you able to adjust it to fit your child?

Apart from the wrongly sized items, the polo shirts fitted well.

Q3 What did your child think of their new uniform?

DD was happy enough with it, she is never overly enthusiastic about her uniform Grin

Q4 How do you feel the uniform is bearing up to washing?

Washing well so far.

Q5 How do you feel the uniform is bearing up to being worn? How would you rate the quality?

I would say they are fairly good quality, and are lasting well so far.

Q6 How would you rate the value for money of the uniform?

I think the polos are really good value for money.

Q7 Would you buy uniform from Asda again? Would you recommend to someone else?

I would buy the polo shirts again, hard to comment on everything else.

Q8 How would you say the Asda uniform compares to other supermarket uniforms?

I have never bough other supermarket uniforms in the past.

ComeWhineWithMe · 10/11/2010 10:04

I only recieved the skirt but I do love it dd looks lovely in it and it feels like very good quality.
Easy to iron and easy to wash/dry.

It hasn't faded either.

Thankyou Asda.

Can we still add feedback, as i have only had the uniform for about a week?

AnnMumsnet · 17/11/2010 13:03

Yes do, sorry it was so delayed...

ln1981 · 30/11/2010 22:29

I had, a blue v-neck jumper, 2pack white polo shirts and black trousers, all aged 6-7yrs, for a boy.

Q1 What were your first impressions of the uniform?
Quite impressed. The jumper looked nice and felt good quality, as did the trousers although they did feel a bit stiff and the polo shirts felt a little thin though were of a good quality also.

Q2 Did it fit your child? If applicable were you able to adjust it to fit your child?
Everything fitted fine, very unusual as ds's trousers tend to be slightly too long, even though they fit everywhere else.

Q3 What did your child think of their new uniform?
He loved it, until his teacher told him his jumper looked like a girls jumper. Confused

Q4 How do you feel the uniform is bearing up to washing?
Its bearing up well. The trousers seem to have soften up in the wash, and the polos and jumper seem to be holding their shape.

Q5 How do you feel the uniform is bearing up to being worn? How would you rate the quality?
Again the uniform is wearing well. No raggedy trouser hems!

Q6 How would you rate the value for money of the uniform?
I think its quite good value. the jumper was a similar price to one i had bought from Debenhams, and has worn as well as that.

Q7 Would you buy uniform from Asda again? Would you recommend to someone else?
I definately would buy uniform from Asda again, and would recommend it to others.

Q8 How would you say the Asda uniform compares to other supermarket uniforms?
Definately one of the best. Have had trousers from Tesco, which didnt fit ds very well-these did which is a novelty!
