In April some Mumsnetters took part in an online focus group for Cadbury Dairy Milk Buttons and gave feedback on the websites their children use and their views on the new concept site for Cadbury. This helped shape the development of the site and it is now ready to be launched! Cadbury would love to know what you think about the site now so would like MNers to evaluate the real thing.

The site is designed for children aged 3-7 and allows you to create interactive stories. Please visit www.cadburybuttons.com with your child (if you have more than one child aged 3-7 please visit with one of them) sometime over the next few days then return to this thread and add your feedback by completing the survey.

Everyone who tries the Cadbury Dairy Milk Buttons site, completes this short survey and adds their details at the end will be entered into a prize draw where one lucky winner will win a £100 Amazon voucher and Cadbury hamper.

Many thanks and good luck
MNHQ

Norma - first of all you put in your dob - have you done that? Then later you put in your childs one (sorry if you've done that)

I thought it was good - ds liked the story - but I found it a bit long - esp for bed time - being able to select the length, to suit age/time would be great

Looks good but we couldn't get the book part to load, there was just a little owl that said 'loading' and dd got bored after waiting about five mins! She enjoyed doing the avatar thingy but tbh there are loads of sights where you can do similar ones. Will try again tomorrow and see if it loads.

salmar · 05/08/2010 19:51

Daughter loved pointing out her name in the storyline - will spend more time on this tomorrow, she wants to show the others!

amidaiwish · 05/08/2010 20:03

what's with the "must have an adult thing" and adult DOB? that would put me right off. is that just for the test site or the real site?

TheJollyPirate · 05/08/2010 20:41

DS loved it (and loves chocolate). Like the cute avatar things.

glasgowlass · 05/08/2010 21:53

DD loved it!

gorionine · 05/08/2010 22:17

Just had a look on my own, I am sure Ds3 and Dd4 will enjoy it! I must admit that the parent date of birth thing surprises me a bit.

I will fill the survey after visiting with the dcs but I have seen that at the end we are asked the age of the child and sex, do I have to complete the survey twice (two Dcs in age of appreciating it)? Am I allowed too?

Tortoise · 05/08/2010 23:35

Done.
DD1 age 7, got bored half way through the story, it was too long.
Pages too a while to load (Google chrome).
Plus we spotted at least 2 spelling errors!

Filmbuffmum · 06/08/2010 08:20

Also couldn't enter the site, as DS1 (who is 3) was deemed too young. Can you check the age range please?

Filmbuffmum · 06/08/2010 08:21

Sorry- disregard previous post. Just reread guidelines! Think the wording needs to be clearer though (for overtired Mums!!)

NormaSknockers · 06/08/2010 08:42

Blush Glad I'm not the only one though!

Survey done :)

The site is really good, very well constructed & certainly aimed at the right age group, DD has loved looking through it this morning & I can see her wanting to look again very soon!

DS loved it and it will definitely be used in the future Smile

Hi - I have alerted Cadbury to the queries on the thread and they are looking into them and will hopefully give me a response soonish.

gorionine - you are welcome to complete the survey form more than once (once for each child) should you wish to. Thanks

It worked fine today (sfter loading probs yesterday) - DD1 (6) loved it!

ninja · 06/08/2010 21:53

agree it's confusing as parents have to fill in dob twice and it really isn't clear

pippylongstockings · 06/08/2010 22:08

Add my name to the 'overtired' mums who put in their childs dob 1st - doh!

Liked the site but more for my 4 year old not my 6 year old - but my 6 year old would want it to do more, I guess he is of an age where he wants it to be a game with purpose.

knickers0nmyhead · 07/08/2010 00:51

done

misdee · 07/08/2010 10:49

have tried to do this, but as i registered with cadbury a looong time ago my email address is already in use. i have requested my password, and it just sends me a blank. a bit hacked off as dd's desperate to try out the site.

ouryve · 07/08/2010 16:32

I found the DOB thing confusing, too!

Also, I forgot to put it in the survey, since DS was twittering in my ear, but we had a male cow!!!

HinnyPet · 07/08/2010 16:40

Hard to input info using an iPhone.
(Obviously I can use a computer as an alternative.)

hanreeoak · 07/08/2010 17:52

Found the date of birth bit strange at the beginning, why is it needed???? DD1 - 6 nearly 7 found it fun and just left her to it, DD2 - 4 needed help and it was nice to sit with her on the computer (DD1 is 'far too grown up to need help from mum')

Great site agree that its a nice site to use when calming for bed.

mustrun · 07/08/2010 20:26

So, we finally got round to doing it tonight... because it thundered so we had to give up on gardening! The boys like it Smile
